4.0Well the last bottle I had about a year ago was totally infected drain pour :( When this was fresh it was awesome with lots of coffee grinds and roast with a nice coconut finish.
4.212oz bottle, $7 from Dutch’s bottle shop. Very dark brown color, a minimal brown head. Light, smooth carbonation, nice roasty aftertaste. Really interesting, complex, and deep aroma. Some clarity. Great aroma... Awesome but not overpowering coffee, some sweet roastiness, and some other stuff in there... Very tasty and drinkable brew. I wish I had much more of this ( I’m envious of the collaborators [as I picture them] drinking this stuff by the case, as they enjoy the beautiful Maui weather ). Roasty sweet taste, with some good coffee bitterness. Another fantastic Stone collaboration. A six-pack of this stuff would be what dreams are made of.
3.7bottle... drank right after the bourbon version... turning infected quickly but strangely I liked it a touch better the ba, nice dark sour with a coconut backbone
3.8Bottle:   Nearly black, super dark brown, moderate to large beige head frothy, nice lacing.   Sweet
roasted malt nose, slight coconut and cocoa.   Sweet nutty caramel infused cocoa and coconut chocolate goodness on
the tongue.   This is quite tasty.   Hop aspect is low.   Sweet start, coconut and cocoa, has a bit more
hop bite on the backside.   Not heavy, not light, feels just right.   Has a smidgen of chocolate covered
cherries at the exit, at least the sweet bits within a chocolate covered cherry.   Very slight alcohol presense.
  Pretty good stuff!
3.9Bottle shared by Mike. Poured a nearly opaque dark brown color with a tan head. Coconut, coffee, cocoa, and brown sugar smells. Medium bodied and slightly sweet with moderate carbonation. Coconut, vanilla, chocolate, and roasted nut flavors.
3.9Bottle from summer secret santa (ragesaq). Pours dark brown with tan head. Aromas of chocolate, coconut, coffee, roasted malts and vanilla with some nuttiness. Similar flavors. Very tasty. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Thanks Aaron.

Finally found one of these elusive creatures, but pricey at 9 dollars for a 12 oz bottle.
Pours a solid black with a two finger mocha head that slowly dissipates to a cap. Smells of fudge, chocolate and coffee mostly. Slight dark fruit in the background. Traces of vanilla and alcohol round out the nose. I don’t pick up any coconut or macadamia in the aroma. Taste is coffee and dark chocolate up front, bitter roast that melds into coconut, finishing semi dry with a long lingering roasted grain and coconut finish. Creamy sticky mouthfeel, thick body with a semi dry finish, light carbonation. I really enjoyed this one. I was a little nervous because I really hate coconut, but its subtle enough in here that I could actually appreciate it and I think it works really well.
3.4Fuck, the name of this beer is a mouthful. Bottle thanks to atom. Brown in color with some burgundy highlights. Small khaki head. Nuts are the strong aroma up front with some toasted coconut also being present. Roasted malt character gives this a slight roast coffee aroma, too. Taste is sweet like toffee, slight coconut, nuts, and boozy warmth round this out. The strength of the booze in the finish is a bit off putting even after drinking some Angel’s Share before this. It just seems a little out of place in this beer. Full bodied, and fairly thick.
3.712oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with some jet black highlights and an off white head. Big aroma consisting of chocolate, coconut, molasses, nuts, roasted malt, and a tad of coffee. The carbonation is on the softer side of things, which allows some of silk to become apparent on the body. Upfront, is some sweet, yet dry, roasted malt followed by some toasty coconut, toffee, lactose(?), and burnt sugar. Nice aroma, decent mouth feel, all around solid.
4.2bottle, huge chocolately. nutty aroma, that fills the senses. Huge delicious aroma that leads to this amazing flavor that this beer posesses. Milk chocolate, nuts, mild roastiness, medium mouthfeel. Awesome porter, would love to try on draft
4.212 oz bottle that I randomly picked up in NYC after never seeing it here. Poured a nice dark brown with reddish highlights and a small tan head. Smells of coffee up front, followed by a rush of coconut and some traces of nuttiness in the background. The taste starts out with an initial rush of coffee, but as it sat while I played some Rock Band the flavor flowed into a lovely mix of coconut and chocolate, which was very reminiscent of a Mounds bar. Sadly the macadamia nuts never really came through, but that is my only complaint about this delight of a brew.
3.512 oz bottle, pours dark maple w/ a ligtly tan head, aroma is coffee and chocoate, flavor is light chocolate w/ some nutty notes on finish. decent but not especially memorable
4.2At a tasting, thanks YK23, bottle, pours very dark brown with dark brown head, dominant aroma of strong roasted coffee, coconut taste, sweet taste on the tongue, flavor fills your mouth, and overall a creative and excellent cooperation produced a delicious beer.
3.7Bottle from Bev 4 Less: Poured a dark brown color with a fluffy development of foam as the head. Sort of hard to pick up any scents other than the minor notes of coconut and lightly toasted malts in the faint and distant background. As for the flavor, it seemed more gentle and subtle than I had been expecting due to all the hype surrounding this beer, but it does have some qualities I like. There is a tasty blend of Kona coffee along with a faint taste of coconut while I can barely taste the macadamia nut. I just ate macadamia nut cookies yesterday, so the flavor of them are very fresh in my mind, however, I don’t really find that same flavor in the beer unless it’s the aftertaste. I’m glad I didn’t buy more than two bottles of this stuff because it’s over hyped in my opinion and expensive too.
3.7Tasted on 2/18/11 from a 12oz bottle purchased at Sun Devil, I know that this one has some age on it. Pours very dark, but still clear brown, almost like the color of coffee, with a thick off-white head that settles pretty quickly into thin lace with a decent collar. The nose is primarily earthy roasted coffee, with a ton of roast, and the macadamia nut and coconut both coming through in more of a toasted way. The flavor is pretty much the same as the nose with the coffee and roasted notes coming through strongest and the coconut and macadamia nut both still present in a toasted manner. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long roasted coffee and toasted coconut and macadamia finish.
3.9Poured into a pint glass.
3.5 A: Black color. Two fingers of frothy/fizzy light brown head with average retention for a coffee beer and a small ring of lacing.
4.5 S: Roasted coffee is plentiful, but coconut is right behind. Coconut and coffee work so well together and I’d love to see more breweries using them in tandem. Anyway, the underlying porter falls somewhat victim to the stronger C&C aromas (which I’m okay with), but there is still a grainy roastiness to be picked up. This is one great smelling beer.
4.5 T: The taste is in a word: powerful. The coconut flavor comes in full force, pushing aside even the coffee. Coffee is still strong, however, and makes for a tasty collaboration with coconut. Also, there’s a lactose-like sweet & sourness present. I don’t know if there’s any lactose in here, but it sure tastes like it. Malts are somewhat nutty, somewhat grainy, with plenty of roasty toastiness.
4.0 M: Medium body. Carbonation is a bit aggresive, but not too much so. Could be a bit creamier, but overall okay.
4.5 D: This is a great beer for what who like coconut and coffee. For those who don’t, shame on you. Definitely something I wouldn’t mind having again and again.

3.8Bottle split with Brother Andrew and Baby Streets. Pours a dark brown body with thin off white lacing. Aroma is very interesting - roasty notes, milky, coconut, and coffee. Mouthfeel is thin to medium, extremely unique notes of coffee, sweet roast, nuts, and dark fruit.
4.112oz bottle pours dark brown/black with small tan head. Aroma is earthy, coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, and slight coconut. Texture is thick and sticky. Taste is chocolate and roasted malts balanced nicely with coconut and Macadamia present on the finish. Taste like drinking a cup of coffee and then eating a Macadamia chocolate cookie. Nice.
3.8Winter Storm. This beer is good. Pours black with a small offwhite head, specks of lace. Smells sweet and roasty and chocolatey with some earth. Tastes of coffee and roasted malty sweetness. Sweetness lingers. Very nice. Full body, good carbonation.
3.8Bottle. Abbey de rocs sediment, awesome pour... Super dark brown. Plums, vinegar, raisen, some roasty porter characteristics beneath. Not your typical porter.
4.2Pour super deep brown almost black with a cream finger and a half thick tan head. Aroma wow coconut macaroons, coffee, chocolate, espresso and a slight nuttiness.Taste again of macaroons mmmm, coconut, coffee, milk chocolate, cream, nuttiness, and espresso. MF was thick creamy velvet in my mouth. This is a exceptionally well balanced beer with a ton of flavor. Truly remarkable.
3.812 oz bottle. pours a brownish, black. subtle tan head that recedes to a permanent thin ring. roasted malts, toasted barley, milk chocolate, espresso on the nose. distinct nutty notes and espresso bitterness, milk chocolate.rich milky mouthfeel.sticky on the lips, medium finish
4.2Pours almost black from a 12oz bottle at a bottle share with KEN SCHMIDT...the MAN HIMSELF. Aroma is big on coffee and coconut. Tastes the same...chocolate, coconut and coffee. This was a great beer, but pales in comparison to Ken’s homebrew version of this called Aloha Plenty...way more coconut, coffee and macadamia flavor.
3.8Bottle. [thanks after4ever]
Pours deep brown, bordering on black. Lovely, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma has lots of dry coffee, some astringency, light chocolate, some nuttiness. Only mild sweetness. Medium carbonation, very fat and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is elegant, lots of dry coffee, blackberries, mild astringency, some sweetness, perhaps from the coconut. It is very good, but very dominated by the coffee. Neither Macadamia nor coconut gets a serious way in...
4.4Black, with a little white head. Strong coffee scent. A nice sequence of flavors: coffee, the coconut.
3.712 oz. bottle. Colour... nearly black with a thin tan head. Nose... strong coffee with a bit of skim milk. Palate... a shot of metal up front then black coffee, roasted nuts, marshmallow cream, and cafe au lait the rest of the way.
4.3Thanks to bmanning for bringing a bottle of this to a recent tasting.
Poured near black with a nice tan head a good lacing. The initial scent is definitely strong coffee, followed by some nice chocolate. The coconut comes through afterward, and really makes this one fantastic. The taste is quite similar, with everything blending together really, really well. The coffee and coconut make an excellent combination. Moderate to fairly heavy body, and dangerously drinkable. This one definitely did not disappoint.

3.9Bottle, thanks alot hallinghansen ;-) Dark dark Brown body with a small offwhite head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, caramel and coconut notes. Flavor is sweet caramel, coconut, nutty notes, coffee, roasted malt. Medium carbonation. Smooth body.
3.812oz bottle -
My 2nd (or maybe 3rd, not exactly sure) time with the Stone collaboration series. I enjoyed this one very much. Aroma has a huge coffee punch, coffee with just a smidge of toasted bread/coconut. Flavor showcases the chocolate malts, and it was really hard to pick up any coconut-y goodness. Really reminded me of a Kaluha cake batter. I really like it, but the coconut/macadamia flavors (which can be rather delicate) seemed buried. Maybe fresh it’s a different story? Nice beer though and would buy again.
4.1Bottle pours deep brown, almost black, with a khaki head. Aroma is heavy with chocolate syrup, roast malt, coffee and coconut. Flavor shows primarily coffee with the rest fading into the background with additional notes of tar and macadamia nuts. Yes I said it.... I’m not sure if it’s because I read it, or ate plenty of them growing up, but I swear it’s there. Overall body is full and finishes dry and slightly sour. Pretty damn good stuff.
