2.6 Can in Seattle. Stone Ice p oured in to a Chuck’s ipa glass, high-low style. Low white lingering foam, crystal clear and bubbly palest straw. Nose has some fruitiness, cardboard and dry hop. Sweet malts up front, muddled, but there are some hop-like drying notes at times. Dry and sticky in equal measure on finish. Some banana. That this dries and bitters so well keeps this fairly refreshing. Odd, it’s completely a pale macro but has some dry bitter notes that redeem it considerably. Way better than I expected. Still, the real Stone could do this better I’m sure. Not bad.
1.0 I usually don't mind most beer. I actually tend to like a typical Canadian beer but this one is so light and such an odd after taste. I've had cheaper beer that's better.
2.7 16 oz can, enjoyed from the can. Had to go pick this up before these new cans disappear. Labeled as Stone Ice, from my photogenic view. You know, I expected this to be really bad, but this is probably one of the better pale lagers I've had out of the group it shares a glass cooler door with at the supermarket. Has the slightly sweet, apple like grains, a watered down feel, but there isn't really an offensive side for me. An imperial pale lager that totally drinks like a regular lager, and smoother than expected. Hanging out at home, and the sun is shining, I could drink a can or two of this and brag about it. Grab a 'Stone!
0.6 Not the worst beer, but easily one of the thinnest. Sweet and very mild. Tried for the first time in 2007.
1.4 After reading mixed reviews and seeing the high alcohol content/low price, I wanted to like this beer, but the taste s sickening to me. I've read that some like it, but I do not.
1.4 24oz can, get with the 25oz keystone!, pours a clear pale golden with a large white head. Aroma of sweet corn malt and cider. Taste of sweet watery malt, corn, alcohol evident. Not near as good as Natural Ice.
5.0 Nothing better for a cheap buzz. Never have had a hangover with this cheap crapola.
4.7 Ive been drinking Keystone light for yrs untill i tried Keystone Ice. The taste is unbelievable
1.8 Pours a clear golden color with lots of carbonation and a thin white head that fizzed away immediately. The aroma is mostly just grains and sweet corn syrup. The flavor is the same as the aroma and has a dry aftertaste. There is nothing ff putting but nothing very special either.
1.4 Drinkable for a cheap beer Not great tho Only drink this if you absolutely must
1.2 Can. Pours yellow with a fizzy, rapidly disappearing white head. Grainy and corny aroma. Super sweet. Thin and light bodied. Nothing to see here, folks.
1.5 Cut and paste all these mass produced beers would have a hard time telling any of them apart
1.2 Pounder can from the clearance aisle. Actually looks pretty good. But looks can be deceiving. And they are. Nasty, musty, pasty aroma, wet paper smell. Taste does not improve things, corny, overly sweet flavors. Every time I go back for another sip, it loses points. The beautiful foamy head is the lone saving grace, and that disappears pretty quickly. Hobo piss indeed.a and I thought Nigeria Pal was bad....
0.8 Even in the salad days of drinking bad beer this one was called undrinkable, hobo drenched cardboard.
1.0 Bought common, pours a slight yellow tih a fizzy, fast head. Smells very faintly of cardboard and apple. Taste? Not much. Watery consistency. Overall? Not horrible. Just cheap.
2.0 I bought a six pack of Keystone Ice at some random liquor store in Dekalb, IL and drank half of it at a dingy party/show that smelled a ton like weed. I think that’s the perfect environment to embibe in this beer.
1.6 710 ml. can Pours a fizzy, off white, poorly retained head, with no lacing, over n effervescent yellow (SRM 3) body.....nose is light sweet corn, hints of pale colored fruits (pear, apple), minimal pale malts, no hops......taste is slightly sweet, with light corn notes, mild base malts, mild hops.....mouth feel, light watery body, no alcohol, high carbonation with light acid. This meets this insipid style quite well. It has, as it should for the style, utterly minimal character from the malts, hops and yeast, and is really not particularly interesting. Rating above is to my enjoyment, below is to style accuracy. BJCP 8/3/15/4/7
0.9 Bottle poured to pint glass cold beer Appearance: Light yellow, head, a lot of lacing Aroma: scent smell of malt, slight fruity smell nothing else Taste: still ok Mouth feel: carbonated Overall: good beer nothing special Cheapest beer just got it to taste it, not to do it again
1.7 24 oz. can from Quicky Mart on Maple. Pours clear/light straw with blazing white head. Aroma was corn, grains and a bit skunky. Taste was sweet and watered down.
2.0 355ml consumed while playing beer pong. Jsut a watery pale colored shit lager. A "light" ice beer.
1.4 473 ml can from TBS (vented...fancy!), served cold in a tulip glass. App.: Clear yellow with a very frail white head. Aroma: Grainy, cereals, lightly alcoholic (like a malt liquor), faint, vague fruitiness, a bit of apple juice, possibly light solvent notes, a light oddly herbal/peppery note(?). Palate: Medium body, somewhat relaxed carbonation. Flav.: Sweet graininess, lightly fruity, lightly peppery/spicy (odd), a touch of cardboard, light booziness; off-dry with low bitterness and a sweet grainy finish. I knew this was not gonna be good.
1.2 Can. A clear, pale golden beer topped by a small, white head. The aroma has mostly fruityness and corn, with some metallic notes. Not much of neither hops nor malts in the flavor, with bitterness missing big time. Corn and some fruityness in the flavor, thin on the palate, with a very low carbonation. Rather bad finish with cooked corn dominating. Super-uninteresting this one. 150616
0.9 Can 437ml @ Motel room, Red Roof Inn, Akron, OH Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, corn, apples and metal. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with a long metallic finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
1.8 Can. Piss yellow and completely clear. Ice cold. Sweet corn syrup finish. Filling and overly carbonated but, crushable in the sun.
2.7 25 oz can after more painting. Dark straw color with a smallish head. Light grainy malt with hints of corn and green apple. Crisp light refreshing beverage with little body. Easy to swill, great on a hot day, but huge lack of flavor.
1.7 The only thing this brew has going for it is the price which is cheap. I’m wondering how much malt is really in it compared to fermented corn sugars. Hops, what hops? Seriously , a bad Ice Beer is just a terrible Malt Liquor ’flying under the radar’ so to speak.
0.5 Rubbing alcohol with wet grain. Some cardboard and a headache buzz. No taste or finish if anything good.
2.9 Pours a nice darker than normal straw color. Pretty good head to start, blink and it’s gone. Lacing is not enough to report. Smells like corn and grain, and perhaps a little bit of alcohol. No other really noteable characteristics. Tastes like most ice beers I’ve had. Reminds me particularly of Bud Ice. Tastes of corn, and light hops. It’s not particularly flavorful, but it’s not bad. Mouthfeel is medium. It’s okay. Maybe slightly oily. It’s smooth, it’s pretty drinkable. It’s well carbonated and I can feel the gas bubbling in ma’ belly! But it is smooth, as most ’ice’ beers are, and I rated it as such. Overall it’s a cheap get drunk beer. It is what it is, and it’s not terrible. I would drink it again.
2.6 Pours a transparent gold with white head that steadily dissipates into thin lacing. Aroma of corn, sour dough. Taste of corn, bread. Smoother than other ice beer offerings. Pretty much a cheap beer for after yard work or watching TV or hanging with friends.
0.6 More grain tea but with an added horrid astringency. Ash like and super fizzy. Need to take gas x after this. Nothing good at all. Just good price, but life is too short to drink crappy beer.
