3.2 33cl bottle from Topslijterij,Gouda. Creamy tan head. Clear black pour. An ok porter.
3.2 33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Bert’s Bierhuis. Brown with some yeast specks ans a quickly disappearing off-white head. Rosted malts aroma with a hint of chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, chocolate and coffee with an espresso bitter aftertaste. Nice bitter porter.
3.3 2012 - 07 - 23 330ml bottle. hazy, medium brown colour. BIG frothy off-white head. fruity taste, hint of chocolat. bit sweet taste, light sour...
3.0 Vlack beer with quite a lot of yeast floating around and column carbonation. Generous and persistent frothy greyish-brown head. Leather coffee smell with white pepper and citric yeastiness. Bitter, terribly bitter. And salty. With subtle fruitiness. Bit too uncompromisingly bitter for me.
3.2 Bottle from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. dark brown, with a short-lived, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of caramel, milk chocolate and roasted malts. Flavour had plenty more caramel, some fruits and a bitter finish. Good.
3.6 Pours a deep dark brown with a large lasting tan head. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, espresso and some cacao , and some dark fruity esters, plums. Taste is dominated by roasted caramel malt, espresso and a cacao flavor, with some yeast and light bitterness. Palate is a medium to full body and flavor with good carbonation. Finish is sweet roasted caramel malt, espresso, cacao with some dark fruity notes ending with some good bitter hops for balance. Overall a good and enjoyable porter.
0.5 Bottled. Dark color with a brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, hints of coffee. Flavor is quite bitter hints of hops. Finish is balanced dry bitterness.
2.9 Black color with small white head. Sweet malty aroma. Roasted an bitter taste. High carbonated.
3.1 Black body, small tan head. Aroma with cacao, spruce, hazelnut, sweet plums. Body is a bit thin and clearly reveals its al alcohol. Slight bit of sourness shines through the light bitter, otherwise unsurprising taste. End is short and a bit sharp.
4.3 Thick and rich. Dark brown color, roasted aroma. Sweet and dry. Tried for the first time in A’dam with Paul in 2010.
3.1 Bottle (33 cl) from bierzwerg.de. Clear deep chestnut, medium beige head. Nutty and fruity aroma with some butterscotch and floral hops. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Semi sweet with low bitterness.
2.6 Average porter, nice to drink, but the taste goes quickly. Would have it again, but there are better porters. From Bert’s Bierhuis.
3.4 Bottle. Dark brown colour with large creamy off-white mostly lasting head. Aroma is roasted malt with notes of caramel. Spicy flavor.
3.7 cloudy light brown. amber when backlit. light tan head, thin and fine film. Eeewwww, smells likes its sour! I’m excited. yes, Yes YES! a sour porter. Aroma is mainly lactic with a hint of nutty coffee. Flavor is a beautiful combination of lovely lactic elements, chestnut, and dry malt flavor, huge nuttiness (like a toasted peanut). light body big carbonation. This is not a porter by any means, its a wild ale, maybe best described as a flanders, but rather dry for that.
2.3 Smells vile. Tastes almost as bad. What did those Dutchmen put in this Porter?
3.0 Bottle. Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.
3.1 Bottle. Huge head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, smoky notes, caramel and hops.
3.4 Bottle. Dark brown average and mostly lasting light brown head. Moderate malty and sweetish aroma, roasted malt, some coffee and licorice. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, roasted malt, coffee and some licorice. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, roasted malt, coffee and licorice. OK lightly sweetish porter – too much licorice for me.
3.1 Dark brown color, large off-white head. Smells a little sour, taste is fortunately a little better. Medium body and carbo. Not really a porter imo.
3.1 Hazy dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and yeasty. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry and moderate acidic finish. High carbonation. 020711
3.3 Bottle. Dark brown/orange with big tan head. Flavour is malt, lkight roasted malts, hops, caramel, little bitter and fruit.
3.4 Nice bright nose of Swiss chocolate. Color is straight brown, fluffy head,, nothing special in the lacing department. Chocolate malt palate, sweet, but bittersweet as advertised. Decent, not a lot going on though.
2.4 (Bottle 2 / 7 - 2011) < mobile > high co2, large head, taste is covered by co2,
3.3 It’s a good tasting porter. The smell is a little bit off though. Mouthfeel is fine.
3.3 Bottle: Very big off white head on top of a deep dark brown (black hint) colored beer. Smell toasted malts, spices, hints of wood, chlorite, hops, piss and sour. Taste is a mix of toasted malts, nuts, herbs, grass, caramel, hint of liquorice, light bitter, very light citric. Aftertaste of grass and malts. Medium carbo and body, tingly mouthfeel and a watery texture.
12/12/11/13/9/11
3.1 From Voldby, DK. Bottled, 140511. Dark Brown with beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Flavor with coffee and chocolate.
3.3 Relatively mild malts, doesn’t quite have the typical porter bite to it. It does have the acidic aftertaste, its not bad, just a little too mild
1.5 Bottle. Pours brown. Nose of sour apple, malt and funk. Taste is earthy dirt, sour grapes, grain and grass. A bit of a mess.
3.4 31st March 2009 Smooth silky porter. Nice chocolate and caramel tones giving good flavour on this modest porter.
