Well made clean dark beer. More like a dunkel than a schwarz. Yeast filled bottle and tastes like it. Online hier gibt bier
Bottle. Pitch black color, dense brown head. Roast, malty aroma. Medium sweet taste, medium to low bitterness. Chocolate, coffe aftertaste. Low carbonation, full body.
0,5l bottle from Bierothek, Bambergócia. Valamiért füstölt sörre számítottam, de egyből levettem hogy egy schwarzról van szó. Kis szotyisság, kár hogy nincs habja, a színje ébenfekete.

Pours cloudy dark brown to black with a lasting, big, frothy, beige head; some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee roast, peanut & walnut, faint fondant, burnt caramel, ash. it tastes light malty sweet, some toast & coffee with a nutty back, and light roasted bitter; hint of sourish dark fruit. Dryish, rather short, toasty finish, lingering malt, coffee & nuts. Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Quite good, yet a bit thin.
Bottle from a Shop in Bamberg. DARK reddish, nearly black in color. Small slighty Brown head. Aroma is roasty with little caramel. Light Body, some roast bitterness and a good hop balance leading to a dry and refreshing finish. Very good

From tap at Klosterbräu, Bamberg. Aroma is softly roasted dark malt with notes of chocolate and mocha. Mild sweet flavour with an above moderate roasty bitterness. Body is almost medium. A fine Schwarz with a good roasted malt aroma, some chocolate.

On tap at Klosterbrau, Bamberg, 4.10.17. Clear dark brown with a cream-colored head. Slightly nutty, a little dry, full malty aroma. Sweet malty and slightly dry taste, some coke, but just lightly and in a good way. Light-to-medium body, fine fizz, roasty and dry finish.
Optisch wunderbar, etwas loser Schaum. In der Nase kaum auszumachen. Im Trunk derb Röstmalz, leicht angebrannter Toast, dunkle Schoki, süffig, hinten matt herb. Interessant.
0.5 l bottle. Pours deep brown withthick, beige head. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate amd some nuts appear in aroma and taste. Medium coffeeish finish, light body, average carbonation.
Bottle. Chestnut color, medium head, good lacing. Light caramel, a bit of coffee and roasted malt, light body, delicate caramel and roasty taste. Very good.
Bottle from the Brewery - now with Kaiserdom, lets see how that works - clear dark mahagoni color, creamy white head. taste is caramell, dark malts, floral hops, spices. medium sweet. tbh I expect sth else from a Schwarzbier: roasted malts, no sweetness. otherwise a good beer.

Pours hazy copper with nice tan head, creamy, moderate retention,some good lacing. Roasty, coffee, licorice nose. Medium body, average carbonation, oily texture. Taste is some bitter, oasty, dark licorice. Smooth and enjoyable.
Luke 5 adventskalender 2016. Flaske via DjOeye. Aroma karamell, malt. Utseende mørk brun med beige skum. Smak Karamell, malt, lakris, mørk frukt. En fyldig og godt balansert, smakfull øl.

BB 25.12.2016. brown color, small off-white head. smells of caramel, spices, plums, a bit musty, light cardboard, decent smell. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of earthy, light caramel, light tobacco, spices, lightly breadish, some cocoa powder. finishes rather balanced with light earthy and cocoa powder notes. overall decent and drinkable.
Tap at the brewpub. Beautiful roast aromas. If the body weren’t so light, I would bet this was a stout. Liquorice, roasted nuts. Round and balanced. Rustic. Yum.

Tiny and short light grey head. Clear dark brown color. Sweet light roasted malt aroma. Mild roasted malt taste with low to medium bitterness and small residual sweetness. To mild roasted malts for a Schwatzbier.
Tap at the brewery. Served from a stone mug. Brown color with beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa powder. Taste is roasted malts, milk chocolate. Natural carbonation. Quite nice!

Draught at Klosterbräu, Bamberg. Clear dark amber/brown beer with a lasting beige head. Malty dark bread and licorice aroma, caramel, fruity, some hops. Malty toffee flavor, dark bread, caramel, fruity notes. Solid sweetish schwarz.
Dark brown to black colored with ruby hue, medium beige creamy head. Aroma is grainy malt, some chocolate and toasted notes. Taste is medium sweet grainy malt, cereal, decent amount of chocolate and bit roasty, light bitterness. Medium- bodied, bit watery, soft carbonation. Choco flakes.

Bottle courtesy of Zdk. Pours a deep brown body with white lacing. Mouthfeel is thin with ntoes of sweet roast, nuts, grains and dark fruits. Decent Schwarz.
Bottle. Clear red brown color, fine white head. Delightful nutty toffee aroma. Taste is balanced light sweet and medium bitter. Sweet chocolate aftertaste, roasted nuts. Thin texture, low carbonation. Great Schwarzbier!
500ml on tap at the brewpub in Bamberg. Aroma is light toffee, coffee, and malt. Appearance is dark brown with a small, fast decreasing brown-ish foam (slightly yellow, says Lisa). A bit dry, soft carbonation. Good.
Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a dark amber brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty weak nutty caramel aroma. Slightly roasted malty caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty caramel grainy finish.

Taste; dark fruits, brown caramels, dark malts, prunes, plum peel, grassy hops - leading to an about soft finish with dark malts and some prunes and grass. Normal texture and soft carbonation. On tap at the source, pours a super dark brown with a light tan head. The smell is roasted malt, molasses, dark bread. The taste is molasses, roasted malt, a bit herbal. The body is light plus with average carbonation.
