Kompaan 20 Bondgenoot

Kompaan 20 Bondgenoot

Quote from one of the brewers when I asked him what style it was :-
"We made our own and its called Kompaan 20 ;-)
I guess Its between a blond beer and an IPA. what do you think? De Paas described it as a blond beer that taste like a tripel but drinks as a pils."
Brewed at Anders until 2014. Now most likely in a (yet) unknown brewery in Germany. They are planning production in their own facility.

2.9 A slightly dark yellow, "not-quite-clear" beer with a firm white layer of foam. It has an IPA-sour like aroma with a fruity touch in the background. The taste is bitter-sour, but this also contains the fruity hints with make it a nice beer. But unfortunately, it doesn't have much of an aftertaste.
3.7 Bottle at home. Golden, a bit cloudy color. Good white head. A nice taste like a blonde beer, but also hop in the aftertaste. A good beer.
1.8 Taste and all is not bad. However... By chance I had 2 bottles. With a one month difference in expiry date. One was clear amber the other little lighter and hazy... Taste almost the same.
3.3 Citrus, lemon and lemon zest. Bitterness is a little too pronounced for me, but generally an OK beer.
3.6 (Rate 09/07/17: 6-4-6-3-23 = 3.2) Hazy golden pour, with firm white head, that retains well. Aroma is light hoppy, malty and light spicy; not quite clear. Taste is mild bitter with a dry aftertaste. Rather low carbonation. To me an average ale with rather little specifics. (Re-rate 04-11-17: Also rather fruity, citric. Rather strong carbonation) (Re-rate 10/11/21: 7-4-7-4-14 = 3.6) Can in new layout. Crystal clear deep golden pour this time, with huge white head, fine retention. Aroma indeed mild hoppy over a malty base, citric. Taste attractive mild bitter with a clear hoppyness indeed. OK carbo. Worth to rate higher.
3.6 33 cl bottle, served in a snifter. Poured hazy blonde with a two finger frothy off white head. Aroma: grapefruit, orange, citrus, mango. Taste: hoppy grass, grapefruit, mango, bread, citrus. More IPAish then anything else they claim it to be. Pretty nice sweet brew. Medium body with short bittersweet finish. Nice one...
2.6 33cl fles. Helder blond kleur, fijne romige witte schuimkraag. De geur van muf en mout. Smaak is zoet, mout, licht honing en gras. Medium Lichaam, Veel koolzuur
2.9 At Home hazy gold blond colored body with a white head and with a spicy yeast citrus malt hop aroma a spicy fruity sweet dry bitter taste with a bitter finish
2.7 20170304 Home; 33 cl Bottle; bb 08.2018. A yellow beer which is slightly cloudy and with a good white hed. Aroma is light malty, somewhat sweet, herbs and hop bitters (somewhat citrus-like). The beer start in the taste what malty/sweet, bur fast a hop bitter is coming up. In the aftertaste the bitter becomes dry. Also some malty aftertaste which the beer give a less fresh taste. Also light yellow/citrus-like fruitiness.
W zapachu cytrusy, kwiaty i lekki DMS. W smaku dosyć lekko, grejfrutowo, wyczuwalny też banan i słody.
3.9 Bottle. Color: Light golden, frothy white head. Taste: Yeasty and slightly hoppy, medium sweet malts. Smooth. Medium to high carbonation, medium to light body. Nice fresh beer.
3.5 Bottle. Little aroma, but straight taste and a very likably plate (full body with lively carbonation) and nice finish. Lovely summer beer, good winter beer.
3.9 Bottle from Mam and Dad’s holiday, Netherlands. Hazy straw coloured with a thick white head of foam. It has a lemon and herbal fruity flavour followed by vanilla and spices on the finish. Very good.

3.4 33cl bottle at La Galleria @scheveningen. Pours a lively and clear dark golden colour with a big soapy head which recedes to a thick layer and leaves a good amount of lacing. Aroma of hops, resin, light citrus, hay, spices. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter with a decent dry finish. Notes of hops, spices, citrus, grapefruit, resin, bit of pine. Texture is slightly watery, medium to light bodied with lively carbonation

3.4 Bottle @ Rootz Harbour, Scheveningen. Very cloudy orange-amber, offwhite slim head. Floral hoppy, quite bitter and dry, sweet malty base, light Belgian yeasty. Not too balanced. Medium body and carbonation.
3.3 Bottle at EBBC16, dark gold with faint haze and thin head, fruity honeyed nose, fuller bodied than the average blond ale but also dryish and hoppy-bitter. Slight spiciness, and a herbal bitterness in the finish.
3.5 Bottle. 33cl sample @ van Zanten Amersfoort. The aroma has light grain, citrus, earthy yeast tones. Bit hazy, yellow coloured beer with a medium, lasting, white head. The taste is light bitter, bit sweet, has grain, herbal tones. Pretty nice.
3.4 Tap at JBM Brno. Hazy yellow colour with stable head off. Aroma of malts, spice, koriander. Taste is dry, bitter, hops, yeasty. Bitter aftertaste, Nice
Klasse. 0,3/4,50€ on Tap im GALOPPER HH.
3.5 Bottle from a local Albert Heijn supermarket. The beer is hazy yellow colored and has a stable white head, with nice carbonation. The aroma is fruity, with tones of citrus and malts, but also notes of wheat, yeast, grass and spices. The taste is light sweet and malty with tones from the aroma. The finish is dry and bitter and leaves some spices.
3.4 I’ve rated this one before, buts its a completely different beer! Clear crisp copper beer with a weak head and nice bubbliness. Smell is bitter hoppy citric with lots of bubblegum toffeed apple. Hint of vanilla and minerals. Maybe some mint. Taste is bitter sweet dry. Caramrlel, apples. Refreshing, nice.
3.0 On tap. Indeed a "tween" style, not easy to pigeonhole. Minor lacing, a bit acidic on the tongue. Murky, dusky color. Interesting variant, but of what? Curious, enigmatic.
