2.8 355ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Ginger aroma. Taste is simply spicy, notes of ginger, a very cautious touch of lemongrass surfaces not until the finish with the ginger fading away; light, monotonous, slightly watery passages.
3.0 12 fl.oz bottle. A almost clear light pale golden beer with a mid-sized good lasting off-white head. Aroma of lemon, ginger, tea, herbs. Taste of ginger and lemon, herbs, mild bitterness. 5-3-5-3-14
3.6 cerveja leve e refrescante. ideal se vc estiver num clima quente. não é muito boa para tomar com clima mais frio. bem suave e fraca.
2.2 12oz Flasche. Hellgelbes klares Bier. Der Schaum zerfällt sofort. In der Nase Zitrone. Antrunk limonadig-alkoholisch. Zitronenzeste. Den Ingwer schmeck ich nicht. Ziemlich enttäuschend.
3.8 A really nice summer brew as long as you’re a fan of ginger and lemongrass. No subtly with this beer and its not particularly well balanced, but its still tasty.
2.2 Bottle from Bierothek, Erfurt. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, lemon and ginger. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 050917
3.1 Pours yellowish from the bottle with a light haze. The foamy head quickly fizzes away. Aroma is lemon juice, ginger. Taste is mildly bitter, dry, with warming ginger overtones characterizing the finish. Body is light with a prickly carbonation. Not exactly a refreshing summer brew, and too light for the winter. Kind of a niche. Drink between seasons, with food, at the tail end of a cold.
2.8 (bottle, 35.5cl) Hazy, golden colour with a blond and short foamy layer. Mildly citrus-fruity aroma with bready malt, hints of sugar and ginger spice in the background. Mildly sweet flavour, rather light bodied with a soft carbonation. Ginger flavour and spiciness from the beginning, soft and delicately bready malt underneath, also cautious notes of citrus and lemongrass, especially towards the finish. Not really exciting. 14.VIII.17
2.8 citrus, floral, golden, clear, white foam, lightly bitter, medium body, thin feel, soft carbonation, bitter, astringent, lemongrass
3.5 Beer was very crisp and fresh. Loved having it on a hot summer night. Light and balanced with a citrus aroma
3.9 Smell of bread, yeast, citrus, lemongrass. Come in clear golden color with thin cream crown. Taste close to ginger ale with hint of lemongrass twist. Some yeast. Balanced but very light. Ok to drink. Above average.
3.2 355ml Flasche. Klar und golden mit minimaler Schaumkrone. Intensives Aroma von Zitronengras und Heu. Süßlich. Spritzig. Mild.
3.1 ON tap. Pours a clear golden color with a fair head. Aroma of citrus, bit floral with some ginger. Taste of citrus, bit of malt with trace of ginger. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Moderate body, quite clean and refreshing. Better than anticipated.
3.0 Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Fresh Market, Bedford. Appearance is mostly clear golden yellow (light haze) with light sparkle, finger-width fizzy white head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is ginger, lemon, a little skunky at first. Taste is light skunk to start, then dominant ginger, light citrus. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with average carbonation, sweet ginger finish. Overall, this was a little elderly, which likely caused the skunk. I was pleased that the ginger was a bit restrained. OK.
4.4 12 oz bottle. It pours a very clear gold with a white medium sized quickly vanishing head. It has the aroma of lemongrass, ginger & flowers. I taste lemongrass, ginger, lemons and flowers with some toast. I really enjoyed this beer and would recommend it to others.
2.8 Mild pear nose. Hazy amber, thin head. Mild ginger. Medium body, moderate carbonation.
3.2 12 oz bottle to tulip glass. Pours clear gold decent white head. Aroma of ginger lemongrass and honey. Pretty much smells like Sprite. Taste of same. Mouth feel is mod-light. Heavy soda-like carbonation. Finish has some ginger spice.
2.8 Pours a light orange, no head. Mild citrus aroma. Tastes of slight malt, grass, and lemons. Refreshing. Has sort of a brut champagne mouth feel.
3.0 Pours gold, minimal head. Aroma is very bready, grass, citrus notes. Very easy to drink, a hair spritzy. Decent flavor, malty, traces of lemon, didn’t get the ginger. Some pepper and a flash of toasted malt in the finish. Okay.
3.4 6/3/17 (Chicago). 12 oz bottle bpttled 5/11/16 poured into Kona Lemongrass Luau lager glass. Clear golden yellow pour, mild carbonation, minimal head. Lemongrass and bread aroma. Taste sweet lemongrass, citrus, and bread. Crisp, clean taste, medium feel, firm going down. Overall OK beer.
3.7 C. Pours a clear golden color with white head. One of the flavors (guessing lemongrass) isn’t my favorite. Drinkable though
3.8 Bottle: 355 ml, Price: 1,09eur Tinkams vartoti. . . . . .
3.5 Pours a finger of head on a clear straw body. Aroma is strong ginger, a bit of lemongrass coming through with honey too. Taste has a mellow grass and ginger flavor, a bit of vegetable. Texture is crisp.
2.5 Bottle pours a clear sunshine with a thin white head and no lacing. Aroma is weak rust and floral. Taste is like a bouquet with very light ginger. Bitterness is almost non-existant and the aftertaste is fairly grassy.
3.3 I get the ginger more than the lemongrass but I guess Ginger Luau doesn’t have quite the same rig to it. Overall, I’d call the base of this maybe a blond ale. It’s a bit sweet and simple, serving only as a platform for the flavorings--which is fine, I’m just sayin’. It’s really pretty subtle and nice w/ and I only wish maybe it was a little lighter and more spritzy in texture, which would complement the flavors better. I do detect a hint of oxidation in the nose here, which is unfortunate because otherwise this could be a really good one.
3.3 from Bier-Bienne - translucide dark golden beer with a poor head retention; aroma of ginger, lemongrass and tangerines; moderate malt body, light harsh bitterness; dry, citrusy finish with more lemongrass and ginger
2.9 Very very light lemongrass smell, taste is lemongrass...Smooth and lemony...Light...Not much beer taste...Very simple and straightforward...lemongrass is all its got...At new brookland tavern with john and Megan for comedy show
3.5 Golden color with minimal head. Slight grassy aroma. Pleasant lemongrass flavor on the palate with a clean crisp ginger finish. Great warm weather beer
2.2 The aroma is definitely spice/herb/vegetable but not lemongrass.. or maybe that’s what happens to lemongrass when you mix it with barley. Its a hazy golden beer and ... Well I’m just trying to have a good time right now.
3.5 Bottle, clear yellow beer, big sudsy white head. Aroma is faint grass and ginger. Taste is a lovely balance of ginger and lemon with a light malt backbone. Palate is light, carbonation average. I like this.
