3.6 355ml can on 28th October 2021 from Marks & Spencer, Euston Rail Station. Pours clear pale gold with very shallow off-white foam and spot lacing. Malty aroma with sweet fruitiness. Nutty malts, tropical and sweet berry fruits in-mouth. Complex finish with hoppiness in both leafy and citrus form. Medium bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

3.3 Longboard Island Lager pours a translucent pale golden color with a white head of short lifespan. The hops in the nose paint noble, earthy, and herbal notes with a hint of lemon on a pale lager malt background. The brew opens with very light grainy malts on the attack, then follows up with a noble, earthy and slightly floral mid-palate with very muted bitterness and concludes with a snappy lager finish with a malty touch. The big bubbles render this light and refreshing brew nice and crisp. This brew has the aroma of a mild Bohemian, but goes down like a classic American lager, while it has enough character to keep it from being as boring as off-putting macro brews. There certainly are times and places for a beer like this.

2.9 Puszka. Jasne o złotym kolorze. Piana biała, obfita, opada szybko. Dominuje słód, słodkie kukurydziane akcenty, lekkie ziarno i trawa. Wysycenie średnie, lekko oleiste... Raczej nie odbiega od stereotypu.

3.1 Can from House of Trembling Madness, online. Pours a clear gold, small white head, nice consistent retention. Aroma of grainy malts and a grassy hops. Taste is sweet, grainy, grassy bitterness but there is a bit of a cardboard note in there. Light bodied but not watery, nice zing to the carbonation. An above average pale lager as scores suggest, Just a shame about the cardboard note.

2.1 Doftar tysk pilsner, frisk ljus malt och en aning citron. Tunn smak med i hvudsak humlebäska, metall och viss maltighet. Standardpilsner.

2.3 @ Havregatan 20210704. Bottle (355 ml) from Systembolaget. Malty, sweet and grassy, light body with a watery texture. The finish is dry and bitter.

3.3 Lager très pâle avec un joli rideau de bulles mais sans mousse. Entrée en bouche assez florale, suivi par une remontée un peu amère. Sucrée sur la fin.

2.8 Can from M&S. It pours clear yellow - gold with fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, sweetish, doughy white bread, biscuit, touch of custard creams, cereal, grain and hay. The taste is crisp, dryish, pale malt, toasty grain, cereal, doughy white bread, soft sweetness and a weak twist of lemon with a dry, bready finish. Average body and average carbonation. Simple, but rounded and easy-drinking.

3.5 Refreshing island beer with a great chill feel to it. I can see myself in paradise enjoying one of these. Will be buying again!

3.0 Charcuterie pairing: Pancheta and Manchengo Meal pairing: Mahi mahi and sautéed zuchinni and tomatoes This beer's taste and its spirit are really summed up in its title as an island lager. It's very 'laid back' in thr flavor department, but has a decent body to it which gives it its drinkability and its staying power. Its a lager you can enjoy throughout the evening if you're going to be snacking and eating on a variety of foods. It maintains a consistent taste and fullness throughout the palate and does not leave that hang that sometimes lagers are known for. Also has a nice, pleasant aroma. I like this much more than other comparables (e.g. Landshark) and will always find safe harbor in this beer for serving to a large audience. This beer can stand up to a decent meal, but it is also on the lighter side. Strong or spicy flavors would likely overwhelm, but like my recommendation above, it wouldn't cave to a nicely prepared dinner of chicken, fish and some veggies

4.0 Light/ medium honey on the nose. Not as crisp as I expected this lager to be, but def not complaining. Smooth and goes down very easy. Wheat and slight hops accent the aftertaste. Simple lager sure; yet something kind of intriguing about it... I found myself reaching for a 2nd bottle in no time. Bottom line...as simple as it is, it's pretty great for what it's advertised as...a mellow brew for kicking back. Mahalo!!!!

1.7 Review: 355ml bottle of Longboard Island lager: 4.6% vol. Available all year round this quintessential beach beer comes in cans and bottles, and on draft in Hawaii. Cool logo on the bottle, of surfers on low tide, the problem with this is that it doesn’t look like a beer at all, more like something that advertises a fizzy pop. Bottle top is cool though as it has a pic of a lizard, the emblem of the company. On pour I get a standard looking lager, clear golden colour with a nice frothy white head, which diminishes fast enough. Typical lager look. The smell is very light, of grains and sweet malt, it is ok but very faint and weak…….. Nice crispy mouthfuls initially on the taste, a good start and a refreshing intro to this beer. Tastes like a regular lager and does the business for sure, smooth and easy to drink. But was a little disappointed as the price was a bit high compared to the many decent supermarket discount beers that can taste about the same or even better……. Hops are on the very low level and any flavours are barely noticeable in the taste, the malts do make an appearance as you would expect, and it is a clean beer but is far too thin, a bit tasteless to be honest. I can’t imagine it would even taste any better if I was on a beach in Hawaii as the sun shines down on me head. A simple light lager, ok to drink but nothing extraordinary in an otherwise very crowded market…….something my mother would like to sip at I think! Not terrible just disappointing…….

4.5 Very refreshing beer. Smooth lager yet complex tastes that would satisfy anyone from the seasoned beer drinker to people who typically do not like beers. Great bottled or canned.

2.9 355ml can - Pours a clear golden colour with an average sized mostly lasting foamy white head. Aroma is grainy malt, light fruit and grassy hops. A moderately sweet and bitter taste, sweet malt and pretty ordinary hop flavours. Clean and crisp and forgettable.

3.0 Pours a clear pale yellow from the bottle with fluffy white foam that dissipates to leave good lace. Aroma of earthy and grassy hop notes over hay and cracker pilsner malt base. Taste is more malt forward than the nose, clean and crisp, a bit of pasteurized hop flavor on the back end. Its a Budweiser product and doesn't taste that far off from the aforementioned.

3.6 Pours a crystal clear pale gold color with a small white head and fair retention. No lacing. Sweet pale malts aroma. Simple, sweet pale malts flavor to match the nose and some grain. Very crisp mouthfeel. Light body. A little watery. Very generic macro profile but very clean and refreshing. No bitterness.
