3.8 Draft to taster at tap room pour opaque cola brown with moderate ecru head. Nose big dark roast coffee, some chocolate. Taste also big dark roast coffee, mineral chocolate, roasted malt.
3.4 Pours black with a one finger, tan head. Aroma is molasses and roast. Taste is brown sugar and light chocolate, moving to roast. Finish is roast. A good straight ahead porter.
2.9 Not real sure how this one scores so high? Quite in remarkable, but that’s how it goes.
3.1 Backlog, Bottle, light brown with a beige head. Notes are ash, roasted malt, burnt coffee, chocolate, and other malt. Light bodied with too active carbonation for the style. Kona is pretty rough most of the time.
3.8 Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, bottled on December 6, 2018, poured into a glass. Black with small beige head. Aroma is rich roasted malt, medium body, creamy medium carbonation, and pretty good small-bubble lacing. Taste is rich roasted malt and coffee.
4.3 Aroma: Medium-high rich coffee. Medium green pepper Appearance: Brilliant, very dark brown body with red highlights. Small, light-brown head. Low retention. Fine bubbles. Flavour: Medium coffee. Medium-light bitterness. Dry finish, but with a balancing sweetness that makes the beer very pleasant. Mouthfeel: Medium body. Medium carbonation, smooth. Overall: A very pleasant coffee porter! 355 ml bottle, poured. 30A. Spice, herb, vegetable. Coffee 13C. English Porter
3.4 Krone schnell weg, schwarz wie die Nacht. Macht in der Nase nicht viel her, aber dafür umso mehr im Mund. Kaffee, Schokolade, toffee, lecker.
3.3 I loved the idea of some good Hawaiian coffee in a porter but found it too light on the coffee notes.
3.7 黒ビールの香ばしさ・コクがうまい。ホップの香りは弱めで癖がない。KONAの中では一番か
3.7 Bottled. Pretty nice coffee aroma and roasted beans bitterness and malts. Surprisingly good.
3.5 22-Apr-09 (12-oz bottle) Pours a dark brown body with good clarity, but the dark-tan head is bubbly and thin. Plenty of medium-roasted coffee and sweet chocolate in the nose, plus a touch of dark toast, but little else. The coffee and spicy coffee dominate the flavor in the same way, but over time, the coffee tends to diminish, leaving the chocolate to dominate heavily over the toasty, lightly roasty malts and background nuttiness. Medium-bodied on the palate, so the beer seems a touch thin for a porter, but it's still acceptable. Carbonation is fairly light, but smooth. All around, a pleasant coffee beer that doesn't push the envelope.
3.0 coffee flavored
3.9 Pours pitch black, topped with pretty sizeable and lasting beige head. Medium malty nose, mildly roasty, some chocolate and a bit nutty. Mildly bitter with some moderate chocolatey sweetnes. Shorter aftertaste. Moderately full and very silky. Nice one.

5.0 Strong coffee flavor with a medium (for a stout) body. Excellent beer for a coffee fan. Little-to-no chocolate or creaminess that you see in other porters.
3.1 Nice brew from a place I've never been. A dark pour with a little head and lots of lacing...if you like that sort of thing. Sweet roasted malt taste maybe a bit of chocolate and toffee. Funny, I was expecting a robust coffee taste but honestly I detected very little.
3.4 0.355l bottle@: Roasted coffee, light burnt, caramel, chocolate~medium hop bitterness accentuated by the dark malt~earthy, resiny hop flavor~low fruit ester
3.6 Caramel aroma in a jet black pour. Similarly semi-sweet body to start with a kick of coffee to finish. Just what one would want in the morning!

Pleasant to drink.Toffee, dark malt, mild roast and some chocolate in the flavor. [Bottle at Restaurangbiografen Park in Strömstad, Sweden]
3.3 Sample at SBWF 2018. Black with a small tan head. On the sweet side with roasted malt, chocolate, some coffee and hints of dark fruit. The finish was a bit short.
3.7 355ml bottle. Pours very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, coffee. Taste of sweet chocolate and coffee, light roasty, caramel, light hops. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Not bad, sweeter than I expected.
3.4 A nice porter with aroma of choco and coffee. Somewhat bit sweetish with a full body and easy drinkability. Good one.
3.3 DØE. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate and caramel. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, medium sweet, little liquorice and a little bitter.
4.0 Bottle at Republiken Östersund. A fabulous beer that does the job, lovely coffee flavours but it doesn't become too much. Great colour in the glass.
3.5 Bottle shared at Maakun’s. Black with light creamy tan head. Sweet roasted chocolate malts, earthy, buttery and nutty coffee. Werthers echte Boterbabblaar. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation.
