Limited release. Swimming in a fresh water pool at the base of a cascading waterfall is what we all imagine we would find in paradise. On Maui, follow the old Hana Highway and you will find such a place – Wailua Falls. This plunging cascade of clear water is the inspiration for our Limited Release Wailua Wheat. This golden, sun colored ale has a bright, citrusy flavor that comes from the tropical passion fruit we brew into each batch. Sit back, relax and enjoy paradise anytime.
Editor’s Note: Lilikoi Wheat was renamed to Wailua Wheat (both on draft and in bottle).

4.2Aroma doce média intensidade de maracujá. Belo dourado forte, translúcido e efervescente. Quase sem creme. Sabor perceptível de maracujá. Bastante encorpada. Retrogosto um pouco desagradável.
4.5Muito boa, o gosto não é forte e é um pouco aguada, da pra beber uma tarde inteira.
2.7Spisane z notatek. Kolor jasny, złoty, lekko zmętniały, piana słaba. Trochę owoców, trochę pszenicy, takie niezdecydowane, trochę mleczne, łagodne.
2.912oz bottle into a 'Leffe' chalice on 8th Dec 2017 at my daughters place in Orange County, California. Misty light orange body, wispy head and collar. Refreshing summer drink really, fruity with a citrus leaning in both the nose and taste, tropical stuff mostly rather than apples and pears. OK, but a little weak and thin body and flavour wise.
2.5355ml bottle. Minimally milky, orangey golden colour with small, frothy, fading, white head. Slightly strawy, wheaty, sweet-ish, fruity aroma, unspecific fruitiness. Taste is moderately sweet, juicy fruity, minimally wheaty, rather unspecific fruitiness again. Monotonous, slightly watery.
2.612 oz. bottle. Pours clear pale gold with a small white head. Aroma is mild, with wheat and some passion fruit. Taste - passion fruit is stronger than aroma indicated, wheat, peach, grains, pineapple notes. Meh.
3.0Bottle from Yamaya. Clear strong gold, musty aroma, light citrus and passion fruit, white grape. Flavour dominated by base malt and dull wheat, mild citrus and tropical additions. Light and super easy to down. Comes off like a lager with rounded feel and citrus.
2.9Gelbes Bier schaum Ok, im Geruch fruchtig aber eher Pfirsich, im Geschmack gut trinkbar leicht fruchtig frisch, ganz ok
2.512oz Flasche. Hellgelbes Bier, luftiger Schaum. Ich rieche leider fast keine Passionfruit. Im Antrunk schon etwas mehr. Dazu etwas Limette. Könnte viel kräftiger fruchtig sein. Für mich enttäuschend
2.4Bottle. Hazy yellow color without head. Aroma - Peach, wheat. Taste - Sweet, pineapple, peach, grain.
3.0Bottle. It poured an orange gold with a thin lace ring. The aroma is tropical fruit- passion fruit - and wheat. It has nice carbonation. Mildly bitter.
2.6Draft at Honolulu airport. Golden / bronze body, mostly clear, with a small ringlet of head. Aromas of sweet malt. Thin body with a hint of pineapple-like sweetness. Needs more body and carbonation. Meh.
3.2Pours amber with a small head.
Nose shows doughy wheat notes, soft floral hops and lemon rind.
Flavours include more bready wheat, light citrus and herbal hops.
3.3Bottle at home, all alone. A light, fruity wheatty ale with a bit of tart passionfruit. Tropical, fresh, and bright. A great beer for a hot sunny day.
2.8bottle. very simple, light and crisp beer. Not my style, but not awful by any means
4.0For a wheat brew it is surprisingly very clear golden color with small head. A strong fruity smell and taste that is different for me since I have never eaten passion fruit before. While unique in that aspect it as interesting as it is good. To top it all off it was a tad bit cheaper than most other beers of comparable nature. Might have to get some more of this one.
2.8Sweet malts, artificial fruitiness, fairly sweet. Not horrible, just kind of generic fruity wheat beer.
2.8Hazy golden color; Medium body; Aroma of yeast/wheat, some fruit, & spice; Flavor of slight sweet malt, tropical fruit, light grain, and citrus; Finish is slightly sour/tart; Refreshing - decent.
3.2Pours clear golden with a medium white head, excellent retention. Strong passion fruit aroma with notes of biscuit, caramel. Light refreshing body, smooth, good carbonation. Lightly sweet, gentle bitter finish. The passion fruit is predominant but not overwhelming. A really enjoyable American wheat with a tropical twist.
3.5Pours a golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is wheat and bread malts and some fruit, a little skunk. Flavor zippy tropical fruits, passion fruit, and citrus with wheat malts. It does lose some of its flavor pretty quickly. Has a crisp, highly carbonated body. Nice and refreshing.
2.9Nice golden pour, white foam. Aroma is quite grainy, classical malt domination and not that much fruitiness - although I was expecting to find some because of added passion fruit (and I bought it because of that). OK, maybe some berries there if you look hard enough. Taste is bready, carbonated and only very mildly hopped. Fruit character is somewhere there, some slight sourness, but overall quite subdued. OK beer but well, not really special, regardless of the alleged passionfruit.
3.612 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 11/16/2016. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, passion fruit, melon, berry, pineapple, pear, wheat, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, and floral/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, tropical fruit, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, passion fruit, melon, berry, pineapple, pear, wheat, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, and floral/yeast earthiness. Light floral bitterness and slight tart/tangy wheat on the finish; lingering notes of lemon, passion fruit, melon, berry, pineapple, pear, wheat, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, and floral/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of pale malt, tropical fruit, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Minimal dryness. Light-medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately bready/grainy mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.4%. Overall this is a nice fruited pale wheat ale. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt, tropical fruit, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful, well balanced, and not watery feeling for the ABV. A pleasant and nicely enjoyable offering.
3.3Bottle from ABC Stores. Slightly turbid gold, fine lacing. Subtle fruit aromas, medium to light body. Lost its zing pretty quick but showed some appetising flavours of honey, citrus and passionfruit. Nice.
3.5I had this at Horseshoe. Pours gold with a white head. Taste sweet, citrus, fruity. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.
3.1Slightly hazy yellow pour with a white head and good retention. Minor lacing. Highly wheaty taste, bordering on baby Hefe. I don’t taste the passion fruit. Smooth and crisp mouthfeel. Not bad.
4.1B-. Pours a clear straw color with white head. A lot of fruit flavor, Juice like
3.5Taste like juice, but will get me drunk. slight bitterness on the back. Not sure about that? I’m confused but OK.
2.512oz bottle to tulip. Pours hazy gold, light sediment, white ring head. Aroma of wheat, cereal, passion fruit. Taste of same. Mouthfeel is light. Simple bready cereal malts with wheat and tart passion fruit.
2.6Hazy gold. Wheaty, yeasty, fruity aroma. Taste is similar. Dry wheat malt with some light sweetness and tartness from the passion fruit. Crisp and refreshing but not very exciting. Decent overall.
3.2Hazy golden color with minimal white head. Wheat aroma, small amount of fruit too. Lighter body. Hint of passion fruit, kind of wish there was a more pronounced flavor there. Still not bad for a warm weather beer.
