3.012 ounce bottle
A modest surprise, this low alcohol release packs enough flavor to almost stand on its own. Should you stumble across a bottle at your local store with the need to tackle the style then you could do far worse. At less than $1.99 this cheap tick is well worth the investment.
AROMA / APPEARANCE
Wheat crackers, hay, and crisp malts freely move upwards with a gentle feel that livens the air. The surging ivory head briefly feels like a distraction but then settles into a calm haze.
FLAVOR / PALATE
Wheat crackers decorated with a light nutty spread cool the palate. The alcohol texture definitely feels lacking though the body still contains enough to be interesting for a few sips. Unlike the NA porters or other styles it doesn't feel like a watered down version of a real beer. If for some reason I had to choose a true low alcohol release I would certainly reconsider it.
2.4Pomarańczowe. Mętne.
Piana porządna, duża. Drobne oczka.
Aromat brzeczkowy. Nie przypomina weizena
Smak też nie. Ale jako bez alko nie jest źle.
3.0Very full golden colour, rich banana smell. Very easy to drink in company with friends
4.1Hazy amber with a generous head.
Malty, wheaty smell with a hint of clove. Taste reminding me a bit of Belgian blondes, sweet with stone fruits flavours with here an additional banana finish. Low carbonation.
2.9Bottle, 50 cl, Getränkeland, Binz. Pleasant low-alcohol Weizen. Some typical features are actually there, e.g. banana aroma.
4.0330 ml bottle into weizen glass, best before 7/30/2019. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with insane retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Amazing appearance. Aromas of lemon, banana, bubblegum, clove, peach, pear, red apple, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of herbal, wood, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, banana, bubblegum, clove, peach, pear, red apple, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of herbal, wood, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, woody, floral, grassy bitterness; and pepper/clove yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, banana, bubblegum, clove, peach, pear, red apple, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, wood, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitter/spiciness balance; and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal NA cardboard off flavors. Overall this is an excellent NA hefewiezen. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/spicy/drying finish; great soft feel. Awesome balance between classic German yeast complexity and pale/wheat malts; with nice earthy hop presence/balance against sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and amazing style example for being NA. One of the best NA beers I've had for sure.
2.8Hazy yellow color with tall off-white head. Aroma of fruit and banana. Taste is medium sweet, no bitterness, but it`s not disturbing. Surprisingly well tasting low alcohol beer. Pretty good.
2.5Color is bright yellow, very foamy. Aroma is strong with bread notes. Taste is very wheaty. Decent alcohol free beer
3.0Flasche geschenkt bekommen. Das beste alkoholfreie Weizen, das ich bisher getrunken habe. Orange, trüb: lang haltende Schaumkrone. Aroma: Malz, Frucht, Nelke. Geschmack: Süß, Banane, Hefe. Mild.
3.3This is a pretty good n/a Weizen from a part of Germany not really known for that type of beer. You get a whiff of banana and grapefruit as you raise the glass to your mouth, then just a smithering of excess sweetness as you swallow your fist gulp.
2.9330ml bottle at Bier Markt. First time rating a non-alcoholic beer. Over 1900 ratings in, guess it's about time! :) Pours a huge foamy bubbly white head that sticks around quite awhile and has a pale yellowish appearance. Aromas are perfumy and floral. Flavours of bananas, wheats, all fairly mild but still quite noticeable. Pretty good for a non alcoholic beer.
3.3330ml bottle at The Black Sheep Beer House @ 0.5% ABV. Pours hazy gold with a tall off-white head. Aroma is bananas, yeast. Taste is light sweet, wheat, cardboard, malt. Very decent for an alcohol free beer.
4.0Pour une sans alcool, très bonne. Belle couleur ambrée. Je recommande.
2.4Żółte, równomiernie zmętnione. Piana średnio obfita, złożona z średnich i dużych pęcherzy, znika niemal całkowicie. Aromat weizenowy z dominującym bananem, trochę pszenicy. W smaku bardziej zbożowo, znika goździk i pojawia się jakaś cukierkowa nuta. Nieprzyjemny, sztuczny posmak. Nasycenie średnie. Goryczki brak.
2.9Bottle. Not bad at all. Some bananas, a bit too malty, a harsh but seems like proper weizen.
2.4Tallahassee, Fl - ABC fine Wine & Spirits - Betton - 11.2 oz bottle, Hazy, medium golden, thick snow white head, trace of lacing. Aroma has some bubble gum accents, a hint of banana artificial flavor. Trace of bubble gun, hint of cloves, bready, yeasy finish. Mouthfeel has a distracting pastiness to it. Not the worst alcohol-free beer I have had.
2.7Piwo bardzo mętne o kolorze pomarańczowym z super pianą. W aromacie guma balonowa. W smaku drożdżowe i bananowe.
3.250cl Bottle from Deka. Murky golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of banana, wort, hint of clove, medium sweet, minerals. Flavour is medium sweet, wheat, some lemon, banana, light spicy, minerals, soft bitter finish. Light bodied. Fine low alcohol if you ask me.
2.8Banana, cloves, some cereal in nose. Pours hazy yellow with white head. Taste is medium dry with cloves, banana, cereal. Low bitter finish, lively carbonation, rather watery. Overall pretty solid considering it is a non-alcoholic weizen.
2.6Even though Krombacher as a genuine Pils brewery has only recently expanded their range to Weizen, incl. a low alc version, the result is quite reasonable. Standard, but good quality, very drinkable, very refreshing.
3.0Hazy, huge, amazing head. Correct, not too intensive weizen smell, that is bananas. Tastes also of bananas, but still dry. A bit empty, watery, but refreshing beer. Does not have the common low alcohol note, which I hate. Being a low alcohol still has many pluses of a regular weizen. Worth trying.
2.3Bottle at Sokolovňa Trenčín. Clear yellow colour with soapy white head, unpleasant lemon aroma. Taste is not distinctive, bit of lemon, quite sweet, no finish.
3.0Bottle at Sokolovňa pub, Trenčín.
Hazy yellowish with top white head. Aroma of yeast, almost like regular one.
Taste yeasty, but also with some sweetness typical for n/a beers followed by metallic finish. Almost there! But still I have to search for good n/a beer
2.5Bottle @ Sørens. Pours hazy dark yellow with a creamy white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, little sweet fruit, grass. Flavor is sweet, wheat, yeast, fruit. Thin to medium body, average carbonation, sweet finish. 270817
3.1Ar: niezle, duzo bananow, bardzo drozdzowo, slod, swiezo, ziarniscie, dobra intensywnosc. Wyg: metne, pomaranczowawe, piana bardzo gruba, dosc trwala, roznoziarnista. Sm: wysycenie srednio-niskie, lekkie, mniej mulace od klasyczynych weizenow, super pijalnosc, slod, pszenicznosc, ziarnoistosc, tresciwosc, lekki kwasek, troche bananow, sporo drozdzy, odrobina cytryny, troche za slodko i dziwny slodko-gorzkawy sztucznawy posmak. Pos: troche dziwny, slodko-gorzkawy, niezbyt przyjemny, pszenicznia tresciwosc. Ov: jeden z lepszych alkofrei weizenow jakie mozna dostac w zwyklym sklepie.
2.7From backlog. Bottle at bar. Hazy orange color, white head. Bittersweet taste with citrus, wheat, yeast, a bit of syrup and grass. Bittersweet finish with citrus, wheat, malts, yeast and grass. Very nice non-alcoholic hefeweizen.
