3.2 Botella. Hazy dark amber colour with a nice above medium light brownish head. Aroma is dark malty and dark fruity with caramel, roastish bit too. Good palate. Flavour: Sweet and dark malty with caramel, fruit / dark fruit, some what and bit banana, notes of some bread too. Sweet finish of dark /roastish malt and caramel with fruit.
3.3 Copenhagen 2/8 2020. 50 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen, Vesterbro Torv, Aarhus. Some small chubby angels having a love affair on the label. Pours murky, opaque, dark brown with a big off-white head. Settles as thin, creamy layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing Aroma is medium i tense, sweet and fruity. Mild roast mingling with sweetish tart lemonade. A bit of sweet milk chocolate. Oranges and citrus. Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, oily, almost flat texture. Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish. Good balance between the the lemonade-ish sweetness and the lightly roasted malts. Nice.
3.8 Bárcsak minden dunkelweizen legalább ilyen lenne... Mondhatni igazi etalonalkohol.
3.1 Opaque brown with an off-white head. Malty aroma, mild roast. Taste is malt, slightly sweet, mild bitterness, creamy texture.
3.5 Hazy dark brown, light beige head. Yeasty, malty aroma, hints of dried fruit and chocolate. Sweet flavour, yeast, malt and some light hints of dried fruit and a little milk choc.
3.1 500ml Flasche. Klar und dunkelbraun mit mittelgroßer Schaumkrone. Malzig. Röstaromen. Leicht süffig. Milder Abgang.
3.3 05-02-20 // 500ml bottle at Baron, Mainz. Pours unclear darker brown. Beige to brown head. Average Dunkelweizen. Thicker body, light creamy with a mild roasted malt touch.
3.1 # 1718; 1/2020. Caramel, dried plum. Brown color. Dried plum, stonefruit, caramel. Quite good dunkelweizeizen. 0,5 l bottle, shop, Schönsee (D).
Tasted at Seven Sea Restobar, Bohol, Philippines
3.3 Fľaška z nemecka od kamaráta. Vôňa kvasinkova. Farba zlatista. Chuť kvasinkova.
3.4 Review from old notes of a trip to Bavaria. It seems I liked this one, nicely balanced dunkelweizen with a malty but not cloying note.
3.6 On tap at Kuchlbauer Brewery after a short cycle ride from Campingplätz Felbermühle, weather has been shocking but brewery architecture and beer is great. Pours conker brown but cloudy, taste is wheat, a little nutty and with a hint of chocolate lovely soft mouthfeel, very nice beer.
3.5 Bottle from bier-kaufen.de. Hazy murky brown colour, beige foam. Nose of banana, light roasted malts. Taste is malty, light sweet, quiet watery.
3.4 Bottle at home thanks to SinH4!! A bit hazy dark brown with fluffy dark beige head. Sweet plums, caramel, fresh bread, banana, light green leaves, cream, stroopsoldaatjes, sweet brown beer sugar syrup, fried banana in dough, pancakes. All the above sounds very sweet, but the beer itself is actually just about medium sweet, it just has sugary aromas. Under medium bitter too. Medium bodied with doughy feel. Quite enjoyable.
4.1 Dark amber-brown color, hazy body, good carbonation, two fingers white-brown head. Aroma of malt, freshly baked bread, spicy, cloves, grapes, raisins, a bit of caramel, red wine, wheat, freshly cut grass, banana. Sweet taste, balanced, good carbonation, a bit creamy, caramel malt, sweet fruits, yeast, cloves, banana, nuts. Soft and drinkable. Aftertaste is sweet with a slight hint of sour, baked bread, yeast, red wine, a bit of caramel, coffee, nuts.
3.2 Flasche 0,5l: Kastanienbraun, schwarz, kräftige Trübung, kräftiger stabiler feinporiger Schaum; frische + kräftig malzige Nase, Malzzucker, Getreide, dunkles Karamell, Bananen, dunkle Fruchtigkeit, getrocknete Früchte, Röstaromen, Kaffee, etwas Schokolade; eher trockener Körper, kräftige Hefearomen, kräftig malzig, Getreide, dunkles Karamell, cremig, kräftige Kohlensäure, leichte Röstaromen, dezente Hopfennoten, leichte fruchtige Säure; angenehmer malzig-trockener Nachgang mit Hefearomen
3.4 Dark brown body with tan large lasting head Aroma is bananas malts cloves yeast. Taste is malts caramel biscuits. Aftertaste is nice balanced.
2.6 Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield. Dirty, dark brown. Scummy, off white head. Nose has bonfire toffee. Soft smoke. Banana sweets. Taste is light sweet. Lightly dry. Medium body. Foamy carbonation. Some fruity bitterness to finish. Eek.
3.2 50cl Bottle @ El Corte Ingles, Seville, Spain. Hazy dark brown with a thin white head. Aroma is malt, sweet, straw. Taste is malt, caramel, bread, hints of spices and nuts. Medium body, average carbonation.
2.9 500 ml bottle. Pours cloudy dark brown, fluffy head. Roasted malt, clove, ripe banana, nuts, some estery notes, caramel. Mild bitterness, some malty sweetness, minimum sourness. Medium bodied, lively carbonated, dry acidic finish. Okay Dunkelweizen.
3.6 Bottle from Trinkgut in Kleve, Germany. The beer is hazy dark brown colored and has a large cream colored head, with very good carbonation. The aroma is malty and fruity, with notes of caramel, roasted malts, dried fruits, chocolate, bananas, cloves and other spices. The taste is medium bodied and starts light sweet with caramel, dried fruits, bananas, wheat and roasted malts and goes to light bitter with chocolate and spices. The finish is light dry, little sour and bitter.
2.6 Sehr dunkles, trübes Braun mit stabiler beige Krone. Verhalten fruchtiger, stark röstmalziger Geruch. Spritziger Antrunk.
2.9 Robe brun sombre, trouble, fine mousse beige.
Bien hecha. Repetiría.
3.0 caramel, bread, hay, cereal, coffee, nuts, pale, golden, amber, orange, red, brown, light sweetness, medium sweetness, heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, medium bitterness, very bitter, lightly sour, medium sourness, heavily sour,
3.2 A huge but short-lasting foam. Dark brown unclear color smells of roasted malts, fruity. Taste very roasted, caramel, not typical. Light body, medium carbonation, short finish. Nice, but strange.
