Kulmbacher Edelherb Premium Pils

Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

3.0 Golden color with good head. Nose Malt, crackers, grassiness, pleasant enough. Taste: Malty, very clean with a pleasant bitter hop aftertaste. Very drinkable. Good German pils.

3.1 Bottle picked up at REWE, Getränkemarkt, Zolling, consumed at home Friday 14th August 2020 listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music, he is playing Gene a long forgotten but fabulous group. Pours pale silvery gold excellent clarity, white head atop. Soft mouthfeel, good but not a standout Pils, light fruity, dryness but not overly so, some light sweet maltiness, a little mineral edge. Goodm
3.3 Not top tier but still good
3.1 Mild dry taste. Herbish but the body is a touch thin. Decent German pills but not memrable
3.1 Classic german pilsner nothing special but not bad either
2.2 Bottle from the local Edeka. Gold with a frothy white head that lingers. That was the highlight. Smells of sheet metal and thyme. Taste is bitter, full of dust and tired old grains. The herbal and metallic finish is particularly unrewarding. Medium bodied, balanced carbonation. We’re near the expiration date here so it may have been better fresher, but I doubt I’ll give it the chance.
3.7 Golden, clear, one finger white head, medium carbonation. Malty aroma, but also citrus like lemon and grapefruit, completed by yeast and baked bread. Nice taste, bitterish, perfect carbonation, floral, citrus, yeast. The finish is medium in intensity, bitter, very nice.
3.1 Bottle, lidl. Golden clear. Lager pale malty, slight earthy herbs. Med bodied, earthy, almost english feeling herbyness. Light citrus is finish.
2.9 Pours clear light amber with a three finger, white head. Aroma is caramel and hops. Taste is caramel and light plum, moving to hops. Finish is hoppy.
2.7 # 201; 1/2016. Výrazněji chmelený ležák se sladovou chutí. Mírně nakyslý, tóny ovesných vloček. Žádný zázrak.
3.4 Draft at the Post. Pours clear gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like dough, corn, and light citrus hops. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like dough, corn, and light citrus hops.
3.1 Clear yellow colour, white foam. Crispy, sweet malty, light bitter finish. Well done pilsener.
3.1 Not nearly one of the best pilsners unless you like very highly hopped versions. But the hops are a bit ashy. D&S Dresden
3.5 Aroma of grain and noble hops. Taste reminds me a lot of Warsteiner. Palate a little watery, but great flavor. Grassy hop hits nicely in the finish. Very crisp. I love German pils.
3.9 Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
3.4 Clear pale yellow beer with medium head. Aroma is malty and spicy with some herbs in the background. Taste is medium sweet and malty with lots ofhops. Cripsy dry, light but full of taste. Overall a very nice German style pilsener.
3.0 Clear light golden beer with medium white head. Aroma is malty, herbs, spicy. Taste is medium sweet, malty, hops. Cripsy dry finish. Light body, but not watery. Overall descent classical German beer.
3.0 On tap, Haus Wertheym in Frankfurt. Light golden colour, nice white head, light sparkle, classic looking German beer. Quite pleasant, lightly bready, touch of spicy hop, not super dry/bitter as pils go but (not the first time for this) it’s another solid if unexciting German lager.
2.8 Bottle. Light golden, average to large and mostly lasting head. Light - moderate, malty and dryish - lightly sweetish aroma, faint - light bread, light - some herbal/grassy hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty and dryish - lightly sweetish flavor, faint - light bread, light - some herbal/grassy hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and dryish- lightly sweetish, faint bread, light - some herbal/grassy hoppyness. Pils with notes of bread. Could be drier. Nice head though.
3.0 500ml bottle from beershop-bg drunk at home on a cold January evening. Pours crystal clear with a thin, fast-settling frothy head, medium lacing and fast-rising carbonation that lasted well. Pale gold in colour. On the nose, herbs and flowers over a base of honey malts. In the mouth, light texture with slight dryness, minimal sweetness, mid bitterness but rising at the finish, complex honey and bready malts with herbs and flowers similar to the aromas, lower than average carbonation before a short, crisp bitter finish. Overall, striking a great balance between malt and hops, this is a crisp, refreshing pilsener.
3.3 Riecht hopfig, leicht malzig.
3.0 Bottle. Clear pale golden color with white head. Aroma is lightly grassy, bready, sugar icing, light cat. Taste is herbal hops, grassy, sugar icing, pale malts. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Quite ok!
3.2 Bottle shared by dad. Clear yellow golden color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, pleasantly grainy bitter, quite pleasant round mouthfeel. Average to decent body and decent carbonation. Ok.
2.2 Growler at a tasting at Oren's place. Thanks tom. Clear pale yellow with no head. Sweetish aroma with notes of malt, some honey and herbs. The flavor is sweet and mild bitter with notes of black pepper, honey and herbs. Light-bodied.
3.4 9/2/18 - Tallahassee, Fl - Beer Stop - 330 ml bottle. Sparkling, medium gold, nice bubbles, but bly snow white head. Hint of honey along with the grain in the aroma. Flavor has a nice honey sweetness to it, some bready notes, a touch of light saffron spice. Crisp, refreshing mouthfeel.
