Kulmbacher Mönchshof Kellerbier

Kulmbacher Mönchshof Kellerbier

The naturally-cloudy Mönchshof Kellar beer is the result of Mönchshof's centuries-long brewing tradition and of the love of traditional beer brewing. This amber color, mild beer appeals to lovers of unfiltered beer, the way it used to be. A tradional Mönchshof beer specialty.

3.2 Bottle @Birrifugio Trastevere (Rome). Ambrata carica, abbastanza limpida, schiuma bianca media e persistente. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Insomma...
3.1 Very nice keller, i really enjoyed it. Mönchshof is my favorite german brewery.
4.1 Secondo attese, molto buona
3.4 Barwa herbaciana, zamglone, z obfitą pianą, średnio trwałą, zdobiącą szkło. W zapachu słodowość, karmel, nuty tytoniowe i ziemiste. W smaku umiarkowanie słodkie, czuć trochę chmielu. Dość gładkie. 6,5 za aromat i smak.
3.0 High gravity for this style. Sweet medium carbonation low flavor. Nice overall but now very impressive. Flavors muted. Mouthfeel shows obvious carbonation.
3.0 50cl flip-top bottle from local italian store, not really sure if already tried this same one in Munich. Pours hazy amber color with fluffy white foam on top. Aroma is grains and slightly toasted malt, grassy hops, light caramel, nuts, honey. Taste is quite sweet and easily drinkable, with notes of malt and bread, grains, some bitter hops in the finish and a touch of sourness but mostly a very easy and smooth lager. A bit watery and simple overall but still pretty enjoyable. Light body, low carbonation. If you're not looking for something overly complex, this one works.
3.0 Hazy chestnut beer. From the bottle, it's quite fizzy. Strange taste and not great for its strength
3.0 Bottiglia.
3.3 Amber color, off-white, medium head. Sweet malty and yeasty aroma. Taste is a bit sweet, malt and yeast accented, just faintly hoppy. Medium carbonation, good mouthfeel. A decent Kellerbier.
3.3 Nice Lager
4.0 De Labirratorium. En copa hefe de Bavaria. Jugando a Fortnite.
3.2 0.5 bootle. Traditional flip-top bottle. Darker than expected, semi-brown, unfiltered, nice caramel malt color with huge off-white head. Pretty good. Aroma: yeast predominates, with sweet, caramel malt, moderately intense. A real "keller" effect even on the first sip: ripe, matured with a good little barrel of aftertaste, the caramel malts give a strange bitter, cotton-candy taste. Not too carbonated, but as much as it does, it has a refreshing effect. The yeast feels pretty in the aftertaste, maybe I would think that’s his fault. It could also be that a German hop I hadn’t even tasted was “crazy about it” and gave it a weird aftertaste. *** 0,5 bootle. Hagyományos csatos üveg. A vártnál sötéteb, inkább félbarna, szűretlen, szép karamell malátás szín, hatalmas piszkosfehér habbal. Elég jól néz ki. Aroma: élesztő dominál, mellette édeskés, karamell malátás, közepesen intenzív. Igazi "pince" hatás első kortgyra is: érett, érlelt jó kis hordó mellékízzel, a karamell maláták furcsa kesernyés, vattacukros ízt adnak.
4.2 As it turns outside below 10 degrees celsius this beer comes to the start. This sweet malted kellerbeer overwhlemes with its overall tune. A balanced beer for the winter months and a keller beer how it needs to be.
3.1 God pilsner med mild eftersmag af hvidtøl.
3.6 Medium dark, nice foamy head, mild end with a malty sweet taste.
3.5 Pours clear, dark mahogany with a two finger white head with tan notes. Aroma is caramel, malt and light roast. Taste is rich caramel, moving to bready malt and roast. Finish is the same. Good kellerbier.
3.7 Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours a murky caramel brown colour with a large creamy beige head. Aromas of grains, hay, nuts, caramel and bread. Taste is similar notes again with some added toasty malts and light grassy notes on the finish. Medium bodied with a smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Nice representation of a Keller beer. Good.
3.1 Bottle. Good foam, semi-dark colored. Yeasty and malty aromas, German hops, a little milky. Taste: malty, with a slight hop and yeast bitterness, a little fruitiness and nutty flavor. Pleasant lager with good body.
3.3 500 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy amber color with a white head. Aroma malt and caramel. Taste is sweet malts, honey with long sweet finish.
3.8 Pours a cloudy, golden brown coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of bready, grainy, slightly toasted malt with much lighter accents of herbal hops. Taste is a great balance of bready, grainy, slightly toasted malt and grassy, earthy, herbal hops, with a certain nuttiness and accents of dark fruits like date and raisin. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some grainy, toasted malt and earthy, herbal hops lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation. A rather nice Kellerbier featuring a great balance of grainy, toasted malt and bitter, herbal hops, with some nutty, fruity accents lending a certain complexity to this. A very enjoyable brew that bridges the gap between crisp drinkability and subtle complexity very nicely and is kinda impressive coming from Kulmbacher. I've had better Kellerbiers, but not many.
3.6 @ Weiberwirtschaft Würzburg, 8.18
3.2 Bottle from Burg Bieren, Ermelo. Aroma is malty with notes of caramel, bread, some straw. Sweetish flavour with a light bitterness. Medium body. Malty, bit sweetish, pretty smooth Keller.
3.3 Murky orange/brown pour. Light, but creamy and wheaty mouthfeel. Tones of malt, some hops. Sweet but balanced.
2.6 # 1024; 4/2018. Výrazná, sklepově zatuchlá příchuť. Kvasnicový, světlá čokoláda, karamel, meruňky.
2.3 Flaska från kompis. Bärnstensfärgad vätska med cremefärgat skum. Lätt sädig inledning i doft.
3.4 W aromacie słodowe i lekko drożdżowe. W smaku trochę ciemnych słodów, trochę owocowe. Goryczka niska, ale wyczuwalna. Nisko wysycone. Pełne w odczuciu. Smakuje jak pełny lager z dodatkiem żyta.
2.8 Bottle @ Nuremburg w friends/Dr. Yeast. Appearance: pours slightly hazy amber with ok off-white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, bread, light caramel, light earthy, straw and floral notes. palette: medium malty aroma, average carbonation, medium body, medium sweetness, somewhat balanced by a light to medium bitterness, average duration and a watery texture. Overall: decent landbier
