2.631-12-19 // 500ml bottle shared. Thanks to my uncle. Clear golden. White head. Boring. Sweetish malty. Boring.
3.1Clear amber body with an average foamy white head. Aroma is malty with notes of rosemary and lavender. Taste is malty, caramel. Medium malty finish. Medium body soft carbonation oily texture
2.7A german, amber, clear Märzen with white head. Aroma is malt, bisquit, yeast, toasted bread. Taste is bitter sweet.
2.4500ml bottle at home, Stuttgart. Aroma is light malt. Appearance is light cloudy brown with a light brown-ish form. Taste is slight bitter. A bit watery. Ok.
2.9No association to christmas for me. just a sweet lager. Full taste with a touch of sugar and caramel and nice hopping
3.5Smaczne, lekko karmelowe, bursztynowe w barwie. Piana gęsta i nie opadająca.
2.4Nic szczególnego, zwykły łagodny lager. Kolor złoty, krystaliczny. Piana na początku obfita, opada po 2 minutach
3.6Bottle from a stall at the Edinburgh Christmas market.
Appearance - deep amber with decent lacing.
Nose - toffee and nuts.
Taste - more toffee and nuts. Tanya orange and honey.
Palate - mediumbodied and creamy yet sweet and tangy. Nice taper on the finish.
Overall - good.
3.3Orange golden, klar mit weißem Schaum. Leicht hopfig herb und etwas getreidig. Im Abgang leicht erdig.
3.7From bottle at Ganddal 24.12.18. Deep golden. Diminishing white head and lacing. Aroma of sweet pilsner malt, heather and dried red berries. Good drinkability.
2.6Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from local 'trinkgut', best before June 2019. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, malty, a bit floral-grassy aroma of grains, some straw and hints of honey. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, slightly floral-grassy taste of grains, some straw and traces of vanilla, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quite okay, nothing too great.
3.2Drunk from a flip top bottle on a train. Aromas of mild coffee, herbs, toast, cloves, and rye bread. Sweet and sugary, with a nice, fairly assertive bitterness. Light to medium body, with a grainy, sticky mouthfeel. A little weak, but pretty nice.
3.0Bottle at Beerbohm Lichfield; clear amber pour with a big bubbly off white head, aroma has spice and sweet malts, taste has slight winter spicing, mellow citrus, strong grain bill
3.1Light golden in color. Slightly sweet with mild flavor. Very delicious christmas beer.
3.1Copenhagen 15/11 2018. 50 cl bottle with swing cap from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. Drawing of vintage Santa with a bag full of Goodies - including beer - and a starry Night sky in the background.
Pours clear golden yellow with medium-sized white head. Settles as thin almost transparent layer of foam almost covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is malty without being too sweet. Grains, caramel, very light roast. Something moderately bitter lurking in the background.
Medium carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly prickly texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a more moderate but noteworthy bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet but intermingling with a moderate but more pronounced bitterness. Lingers shortly.
Not adventurous or very Christmas-like. But I suppose a solid malt base suits a Christmas Beer just fine.
3.4A bit too bitter. Slight astringency . Good body for the style, simple but enjoyable, bottle from Denns dresden
1.5Bier is zoet en kruidig van smaak. Heeft daarnaast niet veel bijzonders. Het bier mist wat bijzonders. -backlog de BierApp-
3.0From backlog. 0,5 litre Bottle at Christmas party at The in-laws. Golden with little white head. Malts, hops and some bitterness.
2.9Malz, Malz, Malz. Leider definieren sich viele Weihnachtsbiere, wie auch dieses nur darüber. Raffinierte Aromen sind leider die Seltenheit. Auch hier karamellig malzig rund, wenn auch etwas wässrig. Leider aber auch bedeutungslos.
3.3Fles 50cl thuis. Wat zoet. Licht kruidig. (3-2014).-----------------------.
2.6500ml bottle. Clear golden beer, small white head. Nose is pretty macro, grass, hop extract, grainy hops. Flavor is pretty malty, but with detracting grain notes. Finish is sweet and malty with industrial notes. Macro, but drinkable.
2.850 cl. flip-top bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra Nieuwegein.
Clear golden with a big white head. Malty grainy aroma. Bittersweet taste. Solid German brew but not very Christmas-like.
2.7Bottle. Dark clear golden with a short-lived white head. Aroma of grains and noble hops. Taste is grainy, slightly spicy and some floral hops. Medium carbonation. It's ok I guess but I wonder why I still bother with Mönchshof as they never fully satisfy me. At least there is a Santa Claus on the label and the family didn't seem to be offended.
2.9Helles braun schöner schaum, würzig malzig süßer Geruch, im Geschmack ebenfalls mir etwas zu süß
2.5Pours clear golden with a thick, creamy head, which does not last long. Has more body (and taste of alcohol) than the classic Hell. Not that bad, but it also does not live up to a great brew, suitable for Christmas.
1.8Nice bottle but no detail information about this beer here. Clear golden beer with a big fine white head, smell is typical Pils, grass, taste is also grass, very light malty, light body, thin, fizzy carbonation, not special, boring, I feel here not the special for the winter season,
(I have 0.5l bottle with best-before 22.06.18 and batch A1 01:52)
