La Binchoise Blonde Tradition

La Binchoise Blonde Tradition

Also known as La Binchoise Blonde with a 6.2% abv.

Available with two labels - Blonde in Wallonia and Fakir in Flanders and Canada. Though it is also relabelled as La Molagnarde Blonde. This is a particularly good blonde beer with lots of strong, clean citric hop character throughout. The orange peel that is included amongst the ingredients tends to only come through in the nose. We find this beer is great when served straight from the fridge as a little of the freshness is lost as it warms up.

3.3 8/8/2009 4:04:13 AM Bottle at De Spuyt. Dark orange body with rocky, creamy head. Citrus nose. Taste of oranges and citrus. Malt flavours too. Spicyness in the finish. Good.

3.7 330 ml. bottle. Purchased @ De Hopduvel. Clear sparkling golden, fizzy, egg-white head. Nose is rather sweet, yeasty, tad milky, touch yoghurt, spices, sweetish, tad fake lemon, a bit too yoghurt-like. Taste is quite mainstream, soapy, not very expressive, tad sweetener sweetish, some artificial lemon, light wheat, touch washing powder, white sugar, far from expressive or overly interesting, sweet mellow lemonade, light ginger, sweetish lemon, sugar, a small touch too soap / washingpowder,… It drinks very easily with nothing objection,… Overall quite a solid background beer I suppose. It is a bit like a mellow, enjoyable, refreshing lemonade in a way, maybe the strong artificial lemon & sugar notes give me that impression. Fine carbonation, light wheat-like touch. I sort of liked it.
3.5 Appearance: Yellow golden, slight haze. Lots of white head. Some sediments at bottom. Aroma: Fruit, citrus. Floral, hops. Taste: Lots of fruit, nice light hoppiness, floral. Bought: Saveur-Biere.com, 330 ml, €2.20 Info: 11/4-2015, 75/300M
3.5 bottle. When the brewer tells you to drink the beer really cold, you should fear for it to give you a less-prefered taste.... But OK, here we go , Ill play along. Served straight from the fridge. Pours rather clear blond, much visual sparkling . Ok white head declines almost instantly to a steady layer of white foams. Smell is mildly bitter and has some yeast. Taste is bitter , some fruity ( intense ) yeastprofile. Fresh from the bitterness, as well as an overripe-fruity taste profile. High carbo, light mouthfeel. Hey , all and all , it aint to bad. Im actually surprised by that
3.2 Pours a hazy light golden with a white head. Yeasty aroma with citrus zest. Taste is yeasty.

2.9 330ml bottle. Golden orange in colour with a lasting white head, good lacing. Aroma is of yeast, lightly sweet, some floral hops, some light spice and faint citrus. Flavour is a little malty, some coriander, some oranges, floral, quite dusty. Yeasty mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. FInishes with a little bit of spice and lots of mustiness. Not the most enjoyable for sure.
3.6 Amber with rich off-white head. MIld sweet aroma. Soft taste, honey sweetness with mild bitterness and some carbonation.
3.5 Very drinkable and pleasant light Belgian. Pours blonde with good head and lacing. Light sweet finish. Had as eulogy pub on tap.
2.9 Ordinary blonde, cloudy with creamy head; malty and fruity, orange, peach, apple, thirst-quenching but thin finish, not bad but nothing special and rather forgettable.
3.0 Bottle at home. Lively carbonation with floaties. Very pale with thin, white head. Yeast, wheat and spices in the aroma. Thin palate with a wheaty, slightly fruity flavour. Pleasant

3.6 Tap at Eulogy Tavern, Philly - as Eulogy Busty Blonde, 30/11/13. Had presumed this was a re-badge but no free Wifi to check. Had this before but new for the rate so job done ! Lightly hazed golden with a moderate white covering. Nose is Belgian yeast esters, citric fruit, caramel, spice, straw, farmyard, light brett notes. Taste comprises citric dipped straw, bitter orange, yeast esters, caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweet and lightly tarte fruit notes in the finish with a pinch of spice. Solid Belgian affair.
3.3 Shared a 33cl bottle from Cora (Luxembourg). Pours a cloudy golden yellow with floating particles and a light fluffy white head. Aroma is yeasty, citrus and spicy. Medium carbonation and medium to light body. Flavour is a mix of sweet notes and bitterness. Overall, a refreshing and nice beer.
3.0 75 cl bottle (as "La Binchoise Blonde"). - Strong golden yellow, clear but with floaties. Strong carbonation. Perfumed, sweet aroma. Starts very fruity, sweet and yeasty, with notes of lemon, white grapes, and dextrose, lightly spiced with coriander. Gets smoother and more interesting when warmer. Light citrussy hop notes and a pleasant tartness save this beer from being little more than a fizzy lemonade. Finish is light, fruity and a bit sour. - Not too bad, refreshing blonde.
3.8 Bottle 0,3, pured in a tulip. Cloudy yellow-golden with floaties. Puffy off-white head disappears quickly. Intriguing aroma: orange, chinese parsley, bready malts, a bit peppery and phenolic ofc. Unbalanced taste between spicy sweetness grassy bitterness. Fizzy carbonation, light bodied, crispy. Deep warm finish slowly comes down into throat.
