3.5 Bottle from Drankenhandel, Leiden. Brown appearance. Aroma is sweet, dark fruits, malt and caramel. Flavour is boozy, bitter, earthy, malt, liquorice and caramel.
3.7 A nice full bodied belgian with a significant alcoholic bite to it. But that’s expected since it’s so strong. But the belgian flavours are nice. online saveaur bier
3.5 330ml bottle from bottle shop in Dinant - deep mahogany body with a frothy white top. Gusher. Not getting a lot out of the aroma, a bit sweet and a bit of aniseed. That aniseed lifts it in the taste and has a decent amount of yeast there too. Big alcohol burn at the back, almost Benadryl in texture. I didn't see that coming, who would have predicted that?

1.2 Une bière franchement décevante. Fade très fade. Un goût d’une bière faite à la va vite.
3.6 Pours cloudy, dark mahogany with a one finger, beige head. Aroma is light dried fruit, some toffee and Belgian yeast. Taste is raisin and brown sugar, moving to roast and Belgian yeast. Finish is light roast. A good Belgian dark.
4.0 Ale fuerte belga. Rosa afrutada con sabor a frambuesa o frutos fes bosque. Dulce sin exagerar. Muy buena.
3.5 Zacht donkerbruine dubbel, licht zoet, smaakt lekker, blijft lang hangen. Drop, licht bitter.
3.0 Toque bastante tostado con un toque a alcohol
3.2 Cerveza de color ámbar, con gusto dulce debido a sus frutos rojos y con regusto a regaliz, un toque más fuerte de su hermana caracole
4.7 Verschrikkelijk mooi bier
4.6 Wat een topper... Schitterende samenstelling is dit. Speculaas. Caramel. Smooth maar krachtig. Een grand cru ineen jasje van stout. Wel een Bier om te eindigen. Want hierna smaakt je topper flop.
4.1 From the 75cl bottle. Brown with a frothy head that turns creamy and lingers. Some evident floaters. Aroma of berries, tangerine, Christmas spices. Taste is fairly well balanced between the tart berry notes and an underlying nutty sweetness. A very mild, somewhat numbing bitterness rounds out the finish. Body is medium, carbonation is prickly. It calls itself a brown ale but is plainly better classified as it is: a Belgian Strong Ale. Nice!
3.9 Brown silky head. Sweet bready aroma some cherry. Taste Woody caramel hint of sourness in the finish
3.6 Copenhagen 17/8 2018. 33 cl bottle from Den Belgiske Ølbutik, Jyllingevej, Vanløse. Nostradamus dressed up as a Snail with a set of Binoculars on the label. Can understand that this one has won several medals in the World Beer Championship - but probably not based on the label illustration. Pours hazy medium brown with a slightly bubbly, off-white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing. Aroma is intense, musty and strong. Dominated by dark fruits and alcohol. Caramel and humid cellar peeking in. A sour, bitter streak rummaging in the background Strong carbonation. slightly thick, oily, very lively and prickly texture. Slightly sticky. Flavor is lightly sweet followed by way stronger sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a bit boozy. Less overwhelming than in the aroma. Light burn. A not very sweet but quite boozy Belgian.
3.8 Bottle. It poured a cloudy brown color with a thick tan head that has good retention. The lacing is nice. The aroma has Candi sugar, toffee, cocoa, vanilla and dark stone fruit notes. The taste is heavy on the tongue and sweet. A bit warming as well. Very nice sipping ale. Liquor Express
4.3 330ml bottle from ‘t Brugs Beertje, Bruges (€4): Strong & rich, this one was a beer with a definite kick from the warming alcohol which goes well with the dark fruits, the dates & raisins the most pronounced with the plum a nice touch too. I enjoyed the banana & cloves around the middle to help the balance along with the caramel but I especially enjoyed how drinkable it seemed given the strength. There was a great balance throughout with lots going on & it's definitely a beer I'd pick up again too.
3.2 Pours hazy brown, moderate brown head. Nose is burnt sugar with some chocolate. Lighly sweet malt with toffee and dark fruit. Minimal bitterness.
3.8 There is a lot going on with this beer. Aroma is very sour and tart, probably from all the stuff that was fermented. Appearance is a medium-dark brown or dark amber color. Very murky and dense. I noticed the sludge as well. Flavor is tart at first, then becomes sweet....almost overly sweet. Brown sugar, clove, caramel, fruits such as grapes/raisins, bananas, fig, perhaps cherry. All of this sweet and tart, followed by a noticable hoppy finish. Good to have something good like this imported from Belgium........not one of those local microbrew "Belgians". Reminds me of a bit of North Coast's Pranqster, but stronger and more flavor.
3.6 Bottle from beershop in Bordeaux . Dark reddish color, off white head. Malts, liquorice
3.6 Bottle - Dark cherry and nice soft roast malts. Deep brown with a rich light brown head. Dark cherry, cocoa and some nice toasty malts. A little over carbonated but quite nice and balanced.
Bouteille 33cl, My Beers, Voiron.
4.3 Degustada en Botella.de.33cl,buen cuerpo,color rojizo oscuro,sabores a caramelo,ciruelas y algo de regaliz
3.7 W aromacie suszone owoce, przyprawy, czekolada, czerwone owoce - super. W smaku przeszkadza leciutki metaliczny posmak. Poza tym dużo się dzieje. Czerwone owoce i orzechowa czekolada naraz, pikantna przyprawowość, leciutko rozgrzewające, goryczka niska., ale zaznaczona. Co będę kłamał... lubię takie!
3.4 Appearance: Pours opaque dark brown with a lasting beige head, excellent lacing. 4/5 Aroma: Heavily toasted malt, caramel, yeast and licorice, with hints of wood. 8/10 Taste: Toasted malts, coffee, caramel, dark fruits, yeast and spice, with a hint of alcohol. Quite Sweet, slightly acidic, roasted flavour. Sweet malty and spicy finish with caramel and dark fruits. 6/10 Mouthfeel: Watery, medium to full bodied, moderate carbonated. 4/5 Overall 12/20
4.4 It pours dark brown with a brown head. It has excellent head retention and plenty of lace. It starts with a malty chocolate aroma with alcohol. Various aromas of nuts are also present. In addition, it also has a good deal of cherry and plum notes. There are flavors of plum, alcohol, nuts and cherry. The cherry flavor becomes more pronounced as it warms. There is a bit of spice. There are low chocolate notes in the background. Overall, an excellent presentation for both the aroma and flavor.
4.1 I found and I drank this bottle directly at the Pibar, Lausanne with Raoul. In my opinion, it is simply the besr beer from this brewery that I have tried until now. It is a really good doble malt, hundred times better than a moretti on the same style. It is the kind of beer with strong personality, drinking that step by step, thinking about a lot of things about this world, even the fact that the beer is a big business. This one has a nice black body, regular carbonation, white and brown foam. The taste is robust so malty and fruity, a lot of plums, an impression to eat the plums of my grandfather at Vers-chez-les Blancs. The alcool is present but it is well balanced, some hop, cynnamon, ginger bread, all these aromas destroy your mouth on the good way, a bit complex and better at the final at a normal atmosphere, great job guys!!!!
3.8 bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma beige media grana media persistenza, color mogano intenso limpido, al naso malto lieviti belgi spezie vino porto, in bocca è vinosa malto tostato caramello uvetta sotto spirito e zucchero di canna, carbonatazione decisa, corpo rotondo, dolce con amaro moderato nel finale. 02.12.17
3.7 33cl bottle at home. Appearance: clear chestnut brown with big, creamy white head. Aroma: caramel, dried apricot and fruits, banana, sweet spice. Taste: pretty high sweetness and medium bitterness. Notes of dark malts, unripe banana, bread, caramel, some alcohol and a trace of kahlua. Pretty boozy. Palate: medium bodied, slightly sticky texture and lively carbonation.
