3.4Sampled from a 750 ml bottle from notes. Pours an amber/reddish/purple color with a small pinkish head. The aroma and flavor have sweet raspberries, mildly tart, a touch of bitterness, the aroma and flavor are decent, thinner and almost a touch watery in mouth feel. Good, not great.
3.6"well, i kinda like this one better than most here. smells of fresh picked raspberries. the look and feel are about what’s expected of the style, but it’s not over bubbly like Lindeman’s and some others can be. the flavor is quite nice as well. Lots of raspberries, but not so sweet you can’t tell it’s a beer. Dry bittersweet smooth finish, like chocolate dipped berries. nice after dinner sipper."
3.7Bottle - vintage 2006 - Raspberry and some balsamic. Hazy copper with almost no head. Sweet raspberry, earthy notes and rotten fruit. Great for the age.
3.7@ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Cloudy dark ruby color, nice head cover with a thick rim, no lace. Taste begins with mild malt that blooms some in the palate. On the swallow, sweet raspberry takes over, but it gradually turns more sour as it fades. A very nice balance, a little more sour and tart than the Belgian lambics. Recommended.
3.0On tap at La Fine Mousse, Paris. Pours red with pink head. Fruity raspberry aroma. Sweet raspberry flavor, sour at the end. A bit artificial.
1.1Man this is not good. Aroma is of raspberry candy syrup, almost no discernable beer character. Appearance is a reddish brown with a pink head that fades to nothing in a flash. Taste is worse than the aroma. Raspberry is initially ok then immediately turns to syrup and cloying sweetness. Palate seems dry until the sweetness takes over and it turns to cloying crap. I wouldn’t drink this again if you paid me.
2.7Bottle. Murky pinkish purple color, off pink head. Nice raspberry aroma with subtle citrus and straw. Taste is very sweet and simple fruit.
2.3bottle pours ruby auburn red nose is sweet raspberry juice no real funk notes tasted like fruit juice small white head
2.8Rating #1000. Bottle. Pours a bright red with a good-sized, rosy pink head. Aroma is fresh raspberry, strawberry, wild strawberry, raspberry candy. Taste is a bit stuffy, semi-sweet. Raspberry, but also quite musty. Not that pleasant. Not much tartness or sourness. Palate is alright.
2.6Pours ruby red with large head. Nose is all berries, sweet. Taste is big sweet berries, sugary, syrup, candy, soda-like. Hardly tastes like drinking a beer. For the style, not bad, but not very enjoyable. Too sweet.
3.1Bottle. Poured a reddish/pinkish tinged color with a small sized head. Raspberries. Semi-sweet with a lighter tart finish. Somewhat artificial, but still somewhat enjoyable.
3.3Bottle from Saveure cons 2013-08-13 Göteborg
AR: raspberrie juice, wee tart,
AP: redish clear, frothy redish white head
F: raspberries, fizzy, we tart, dry but sweet,
2.7Bottle 33 cl. Pours dark orange in color with a small head. Raspberry juicy aroma with some funk too.
Raspberries, sweet malty notes. A bit too sweet for my liking.
4.3huge, sweet fruity flavor, almost candy-like. a touch of oxidation (old bottle). gorgeous red hued, cherry cola color, with a modest head. fruit and yeast esters prevail. soft malt flavor mixing with sweet/tart fruit flavor -- cherry/raspberry. the flavors compliment, though in the end the fruit leaves it’s lasting trace of flavor. utterly under rated brewery, fantastic beer. reading some of the super low ratings, i’m thinking, if those folks bit into a handful of organic raspberries at the farmers market, they’d remark, "too much raspberry flavor!" if you get anything but a clear pour, it’s because you didn’t decant correctly.
3.4Pours a nice ruby/dark pink with a light pink head and lots of lacing. It has a great raspberry aroma that's not too strong, and it's the same with the flavor that leads to a great, sweet, balanced finish over a medium body.
2.912oz bottle pours a ruby red with off white head. Aroma is raspberries. Raspberry and wheat taste.
2.0Super sweet...super artificial. Did not like it at all. Like syrup.
3.0Bottle 33cl, an amber red beer with medium pink head. Aroma is of course fruity on red berries and raspberries, acid notes, not too sweet, no artificial notes, finish has light malty touch and light peppery hops, not bad.
3.1Pours a reddish brown color with a finger of pinkish eggshell foam. On the nose its tart raspberry and a touch of malt. On the palate its a nice blend of light malts, fresh raspberry, touch of yeasty earth and a nice dry finish.
3.3Farm-like smell with hint of raspberry. Raspberry flavour is in there but quite subtle, surprisingly. Somewhat dry. Some sour notes.
1.8Picked this up for $9 at Hunger Mountain Co-Op on "Shelton Day" of sorts. Enjoyed in a wine glass at room temperature. Poured a dark plum brown with a solid white head but the head has some pink notes around the bottom. It fades slowly. Smell..you can pick up the raspberry as soon as the cork pops. It has that slight medicinal syrupy raspberry smell and that’s all I can pick up. Taste is weird. It tastes more like a Raspberry Cider than a beer.I can’t pick up any alcohol or even be able to tell it’s a beer. Very watery candy raspberry taste.
3.5Pours a murky purple brown color, a grayish purple head. Aroma is super fruity, smells like raspberry sorbet and rapberry jam. Taste is nice raspberry, kinda like jam, has the seedy taste quality to it, a bit thin palate, needs a little extra punch, but overall its pretty good.
2.2Very fruity aroma, as might be expected, but tastes only faintly of raspberry. Surprisingly dry with a bit of bitter aftertaste (like the taste of raspberry seeds). Bit of funkiness. OK but I won’t seek this out again.
3.7Hazy red pour with small,of white head good lacing.faint raspberry nose. Dry, raspberry. Very nice. Light body.
4.2Amazing--a bit more "rounded" berry-like sweetness in the aroma and beginning, with the finish and aftertaste adding the necessary lambic sour counterpunch. Mmm...
3.0bottle. pours a ruby/brown with pinkish/white head. Artificial raspberry in the aroma. Bit funky. Light, watery, fizzy, highly carbonated, mildly fruity. The raspberry is quite mild, more of a white wine/champagne taste. I went back and forth on this, but overall a letdown. Quite dry.
3.2very nice aroma but little head. very nice raspberry flavor. not very sour but it has a nice flavor
2.4Cloudy pink-tinged amber color. Sizable pinkish head. Plenty of lacing left behind. Big raspberry aroma, sour raspberry. Smells sort of like a raspberry candy. A little fake. Tastes like malt. Not much in the way of any fruit flavor at all, surprisingly. Watered down, thin. Not very good.
3.3Brown-red. Aroma is tart raspberries. Body is medium-light, bubbly. Flavor is lightly sweet, and rather watery compared to other examples of the style, especially for the abv (if indeed this is really meant to be a framboise). Good, nothing exceptional.
