4.2 Lekker stevig biertje
EXCELENTE
2.9 (Bottle) Lovely clear red-brown hue. Overcarbonated, good initial head for the style but faded fast. Heavy caramel/vanilla taste, not much else. Warming/?fusel alcohol afterburn. Boring yeast profile and slightly over bitter. I'm just not getting the dries fruit/banana/bubblegum other reviews are describing. This is actually one of my favourite beer genres, but this drop seems made to a formula without much love.
3.5 Good but heavy, heavier as the Fehér Nyúl Calm Storm. So may Fehér Nyúl Calm Storm is smoother and easier to drink. Okay, Calm Storm is a Baltic Porter :D
4.4 75cL bottle at home Hazy amber appearance with a frothy, mostly lasting beige head. Aroma is deep, complex, and intense. Malty, vinous and alcohol, notes of nuts, dried dates and figs, banana, yeast. Taste is sweet and strong, very vinous, earthy notes, dried fruit, yeast, nuts, honey. Texture is full, mostly oily, high carbonation. 8-4-9-5-18
4.1 La Trappe Trappist Quadrupel 10.0%. Bubblegum aroma, full bodied, reddish Amber, caramel malt, bubblegum, banana, honey, nutty finish. Complex Quadruple from the only Dutch Trappist brewery 🇳🇱
3.8 Robe brune , belle mousse blanche.
Cuerpo medio. Aromas a caramelo, frutas maduras, banana, levadura. Excelente.
3.7 Pours mahogany brown with a thick light brown foam. Nose is sweet, toffee, dried fruits, some hidden roasty tones, aceton. Mouth is burnt sugar, toffee, bread, dried fruits, vanilla.
4.4 Pleasant aroma, nice complexity across the tongue. Balanced sweetness and a hint of banana. Easy drinking for a ten percent beer. Recommended.
3.9 A small bottle purloined, er, uh, purchased 😆 at Liberty Wine Merchants on Commercial Drive in Vancouver. A 4 ounce pour into a small snifter. A murky dark amber orange with a trace of pale head, very chilled, so not much on the nose. I could let it warm up a bit and re-nose it, but nah, full throttle ahead! Absolutely wonderful dried stone fruit and malt notes on the palate. I thought I’d tried most of the renowned quads, but apparently not this’n. Pretty damned good, but I’ll let it warm up a bit and try some more. Stand by then..
Probabilmente bevuta troppo giovane
2.6 330 ml bottle. Pours clear amber with beige head. A: caramel, dried plums, T: bit fizzy, medium body, alcoholy, harsh, either I had oxidized one or I just hate Quadrupels because this was the first one
4.0 Vidange
3.7 Bottle. Malty and spicy yeasty aroma and taste, caramel, light sweet, light to medium bitter. Full body, malty spicy caramel bitter sweet finish. Ok.
3.9 Primera cerveza denominada Quadrupel del mundo. Color ámbar caoba. Espuma color crema. Toque a vainilla, canela y caramelo. Copa trapense
3.7 Aroma is on the lighter side and has hints of orange, banana, clove and other baking spices. Amber body with a tan head. Tastes boozy, sweet and oaky in equal measure with an abrupt aftertaste. Pretty good; definitely a sipper.
4.0 Quad belga. Marrón claro. Poca espuma. Dulce afrutada cereza. Carbonatada medio alta. Retroguto dulzón agradamable. Cuerpo medio.
3.9 Dark amber, creamy lasting head. Dry fruits in aroma with lot sweetness. It continues in taste. Well hidden alcohol. High carbonation, moderate body. Nice beer to enjoy. Well balanced.
4.4 Dark amber, sightly hazy. With a good off-white head, great lacing. Aroma: A heavy blend of both esters (banana, vanilla), malt (grains, caramel, nuts), hops (passion fruit) as well as dried fruits. Mouth: Full body. Sweet but also a welcomed touch of bitterness. Also a hint of alcohol.
4.7 Quadrupel is La Trappe’s heaviest ale with a stunning amber colour. Its warm and intense flavour is rich and finely balanced. Malty sweet, slightly burnt, and pleasantly bitter with a sweet aftertaste. Quadrupel continues to ferment after bottling and offers aromas of banana, almond, vanilla and others. Lagret i fem måneder
4.2 330ml bottle at home, drinked in the La Trappe glass on 25/05/2021 BB 07-2023 Pours a dark orange with very nice off-white foam and good lacing. Lighter color than the other quadrupels i had already tried. Aromas of malt, fruits, yeast, sugary, caramel and alcohol. Taste is warm and sweet with malt, caramel, burnt sugars, vanilla and many fruity notes including dry fruits and banana. Some licorice in the finish. Taste is extremely pleasant but more on the sweet side, that's not bad at all i love it. High 10% abv yet extremely drinkable and kind of medium-lighter body than other quadrupels, less dense. Oily texture, smooth and good carbonation. Great sweet and pleasant but a bit dry finish. It's very smooth and easy compared to other quadrupels but every sip is a pleasure, such a great taste..
4.0 Genietbier. Vol, zoetig, fruittonen in de smaak. Heerlijk bier
3.6 Bottle, 33 cl, Bishop's Arms, Uppsala. Pleasant ale: warming, malty, dry, some sweet accents.
