1.7 Refrigerated 24 oz. aluminum can poured into glass. Clear pale with medium white head which dissipates quickly. Aroma is corny, light body, low carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is corny and some light grain. Not good.
1.2 Can 731ml @ Hotel room, Comfort Inn Downtown, Washington, DC Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, corn, cooked vegetables and hint of alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long corn and some fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
1.3 Can. A clear, pale golden beer with a small, white head. The aroma is sweetish malty with some corn and fruityness. Soft on the palate, lightly warming and medium-sweet. Corn, some fruityness, alcohol and grains in the flavor, a touch of bitterness too maybe. Short finish. Not a beer worth drinking. 150618
3.0 24 oz can sampled on Monday night. Pale straw with a smallish head. Grainy corny hints of metal. Smooth easy to drink lots of beer burps. It didn’t suck, but I couldn’t help but think what a few more hops would have made this into.
2.1 24 oz. can. Pours a pale clear gold with a white head. Pretty standard, nothing attractive about it. This one is just plain malty throughout - bready, dry, and pretty sweet. Light-bodied, with high carbonation. Not a whole lot to say about it. Beats a good number of its peers, though.
3.0 Used to be my favorite in high school. Pours a clear yellow with ample carbonation. Nice metallic twang. Medium boost, medium mouthfeel. Not as bad as people make it out to be. RE-RATE: After many years of sadness drinking "craft" beer, I've come to the realization that Canadian pale lager is pretty much the best beer you can buy. I'm rating this beer completely honestly, no bull shit. This is a god tier drink. I honestly pity people who are still stuck on that hoppy sugar juice or the bourbon soy sauce beer. Fuck you.
2.9 "slightly stronger that the Blue, with a slightly stronger abv and flavor, and an ever so slightly bigger mouthfeel. an enjoyable session or mealtime beer."
1.9 24 oz. can: Pours clear gold with clinging bubbles that make it look nearly frozen... Very tall, whipped white head. Sweet corn malt aroma....and taste... A little soapy and soft..definitely no "Ice" bite to it...more like rice than ice. It should have been amped up into a malt liquor...just to give it some personality....pretty feeble.
2.3 Reviewed from notes. This was always poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a light yellow color with fast rising carbonated bubbles trying to fill a rapidly dissipating white foamy bubbly head. There wasn’t any lacing. The smell was fairly lacking for the most part, but there was some cooked corn/roasty perhaps rice-like. The taste was semi-sweet through that cooked corn. The palate sat extremely light and showed a great deal of sessionability about it. The carbonation was fairly light. Overall, its Labatt Ice, go figure, would I have it again? Probably not.
2.5 Bottle. Apple and barley malt aroma. Pale yellow with small head. Sweet corn and barley malt flavor. Clean - not bad.
1.9 Bottle (Old Notes)-Pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of corn and grains. Taste of the same. This is just another amped up Canadian Lager.
0.5 24 oz can after a fun racking session, nose is stale and really unappealing, some mineral with floral hop notes but clove phenolics that push hard into plastic territory. Any bread I found was quickly snuffed out by that clove/plastic nonsense. Pours clear golden with a lively sudsy off-white head. Watery light body with infinitesimal malt, sweet and floral with a touch of grass and more off-kilter bubblegum/clove. Headaches await. Sweet Odin’s ravens, this is fucking terrible! [2014.04.15: 0.5] Pint can. Much the same. There's the normal corn and floral character, but this stands out in its class for having harsher-than-normal alcohol burn and that distinct clove tone underlying everything. Man that is a hangover waiting to happen. [2018.10.13: 0.5]
1.5 This is a beer that I will never buy again to put it frank, not much of the classic labatt taste just not good in any way
2.1 Ah Labbatt Ice, l’image dans ma tete c l’ecole secondaire, l’hockey et ma jeunesse. Rien de special mais pas si pire.
1.9 First whiff is unappealing and a bit sour. There's a little bit of head retention in this clear, golden beer. The taste wasn't as bad as I expected, faint grains and a tad sweet finish. ---Cheers until next time! DMSR
1.4 Fucken bottle @ home, courtesy of BlackIPA. Real fucken chill bobobobonus, bro! Pours a clear golden appearance with a small white head. Really heavy skunky, lemon, corny aroma. Skunked out, nasty, sweet malty, corny flavor. No.
1.7 24 oz can - sweet grain. Not as tasty as the Milwaukee special reserve I just had. Off putting aftertaste. Oh well.
2.1 This beer is not as much about the flavor as it is something cold to drink. A decent call for watching a hockey game or a summer party. Still superior to Bud.
1.0 Bottle. This is better than most macro pale lagers. Its not a good beer by any means but if you want a pale lager you could do worse.
2.0 Not much to look at but once on the tongue there is degree of dryness on the tongue and a sort of reverberating crunchiness on the tongue and down the throat which isn’t entirely loathsome.
2.0 Tasted and smelled like labatt blue, a little harsher, much less expensive, $3.50 A six pack of 16 oz cans, a bit of a wallop after 4, better than expected
1.8 Product of the usa... Pours fizzy pale stare yellow, small white head with poor retention. Clean nose. Taste of light malt, bitterness, and a bit of booze. Better than i expected.
2.9 24 oz can. Brewed in the USA on the can. It is pretty putrid. I have had their dry beer and it isn’t nearly as painful is this. Re-rate, 473ml can. This is not the worst, a drinkable ice lage.r
2.6 This poured a clear light yellow color with a good sized white hear and some light lacing Nose is very light malts with some bread aromas. Light body. Carbonated mouthfeel. The flavor is light malt and bland, with no sign of hops. This is so devoid of flavor as to not be offensive. Served ice cold on a hot day it is drinkable.
3.2 Labatt Ice has a thick, white head and a clear, yellow-golden appearance, with some streaming bubbles and a surprisingly good amount of lacing rings. The aroma is of sweet corn and barley, and the taste is of sweet grains, a touch of alcohol, and just a shade of hop bitterness, but this is minimal. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Labatt Ice finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and very dry. Overall, this is a very good beer, and I think it’s certainly worth sampling. RJT
2.6 Poured into a pils glass. 24 oz. can, which is following a can of Labatt Blue. Only 0.6% higher in ABV, some ice beer. 2.5 A: Clear medium yellow color. I swear this is lighter than the blue. Anyway, it certainly gives a bigger head. Four fingers of frothy white head. Retention is average and some specks of lacing are left. 3.0 S: Like the Blue, this has a hint of maltiness to it without a lot of sickly sweet corn. No hops. Not saying this smells good, but it’s not terrible. 3.0 T: The taste is not bad either. Light bready maltiness. Mimimal corn. No hops. Not horrible. 3.5 M: Heavier light body. Carbonation level is reasonable. Slightly chewy with a touch of creaminess. 3.5 D: Easily one of the best AALs I’ve had unless my palate is just off today. I’m rather not have this again, but wouldn’t be too pissed if I did. Serving type: can Reviewed on: 04-24-2012 00:41:19
2.7 Has a pale golden color . Smell is of corn and grains. Taste is crisp, some grains and corn, light malts. Overall not a terrible beer, but price point is it’s best feature.
2.2 bread, spruce, pale, rocky head, clear, light sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, thin feel, bitter,
2.2 341ml bottle pours a pale straw color with a small white head and no lacing. Aroma is light grains and hops. Taste is light malt sweetness with a grassy hop bitterness which is undesirable and tastes cheap. Average macro lager.
2.2 Bottle can all types of ways it could come. It has lots of boozy smell and taste. Not good not bad . I would rather drink this then blue.
