3.5 A modern American pale ale: hoppy with a high ABV. More substantial than I expected, almost an amber or copper ale. Bitter flavor with citrus and some subtle notes of grass, hay, and cereal malt.
3.4 Draft to pint glass Lemon, light cherry, nuts, citrus, hops Light amber, thick long lasting creamy white head. Spruce, cerea, and grass
3.7 Pours straw with a lacing white head. Aroma of pine, hops, and citrus. Aroma of the same, sweet malts, citrus, mild fruityness. Good.
4.0 Bottle-love this beer. Has a slight hoppiness to it but not overwhelming. Would drink this any time.
3.7 Sample from botlle at the Cardinal stand at Nærbø, Ølfestivalen 2013. Clear golden body with a white rim. Sprucy, light resiny, honeyish nose. Dry, light spicy, peppery, fruity flavors. Medium body. Dry tongue.
4.0 Fresh 12oz Bottle at home - Dogtown Pale has everything that I’m looking for in a American Pale Ale. It has dry citrus hops upfront, sweet malts and piney bittering hops in the back. Dogtown is bright and crisp, well balance and full of hop goodness! Classic American Pale Ale.
2.9 Golden with thin head. Aroma of citrus, pine and orange. Taste of Spice, citrus, hoppy, malt. Blanaced but not my favorite
3.7 From tap at Monk’s American Bar Stockholm. Pours orange brown with small head. Aroma is hops with fruits. Taste is is full of hops, citrus with a good bitterness. Very good pale ale. Close to an IPA.
3.1 low aroma, appear clear golden with a frothy head. a light bitter taste, and a light thick palate.
4.1 Bottle. Golden in color. Strong taste of hops and citrus. Bitter aftertaste
3.9 Light amber pour, nice hoppy (pine, citrus) nose, refreshing malt sweetness and hop bitterness on the palate and finish. A good beer not a great one.
2.9 Ok. Maybe old. Hoppy for sure but was lacking that punch that would probably come from freshness. Passable.
4.3 Clear copper color. Light grapefruit citrus scents. Pine and citrus push back and forth to own the flavor. Finishes nicely leaves a nice citrus rind flavor behind. Great full flavor pale ale.
4.0 Wonderful hoppy aroma. Golden color with moderate head. Good hoppy flavor without being over powering. Moderately heavy body.
3.5 On tap at streetcar bistro. Transparent gold with a tight bubble white cap. Aroma of tropical fruit, caramel, pine. Taste is a lot of toffee, pine, citrus and sweet fruit.
3.6 On tap, pours a pale brown color without much head. Lots of hop flavor that lingers.
4.3 Nice Golden color, nice white head. On the hoppy end of the pale ale spectrum for sure, but very well made. Really nice.
3.0 It has a Great aroma but the flavor is too bitter and has a bit of cardboard in it... I hope that’s just because it might be old.
3.5 Quite faint aroma of cloveish hops but the taste catches up. Citric and rather bitter hops on top of a moderate maltbase gives this PA a strong and charismatic taste for its style. Not all the way to an IPA, but a bit :-) A good one!
3.4 very surprised, like this pale ale very much, almost as good as the ipas i was drinking
3.3 On draft at Nano: pours clear dark golden, minimal head. Pine, grapefruit, caramel malts, fresh green on the nose. More of the same on the tongue with hop bitterness and herbal, earthy notes. Distinct Lagunitas but nothing spectacular.
3.4 On draft at Nano: pours clear dark golden, minimal head. Pine, grapefruit, caramel malts, fresh green on the nose. More of the same on the tongue with hop bitterness and herbal, earthy notes. Distinct Lagunitas but nothing spectacular.
3.7 Pours a golden clear with 1-2 finger white head and heavy lacing. Bitter grapefruit hops drive throughout. Toasted, bready malt flavors. Medium bodied with sticky mouthfeel. Very long finish. Respectable Pale Ale!
4.1 On tap @ Ölrepubliken - Amber with a foamy head. Nice mix of citrus, pine and caramel in the aroma. Very well balanced taste with malt toffee and notes of peach, grapefruit. Really nice pale ale.
3.4 Pours a deep golden copper color with a two finger head that laces down the glass... On the nose there is some upfront pungent citrusy grapefruit thats falls into a bit of sweet wheaty malt. On the palate its got a really nice mouthfeel with juicy pine and citrus leading into an earthy malty bitterness. Well balanced with a complex set of flavors.
3.6 355ml Bottle - Amber with a foamy head. Grapefruit, pine and toffee in the aroma. Nicely balanced taste with a solid malt backbone and notes of peach, grapefruit and toffee. Refreshing and well made.
4.0 This is probably my all time favorite Pale Ale. Sweet, creamy head and a rich and compelling hoppiness ends with a clean and refreshing finish. A really great beer.
3.4 Bottled. Pours golden with with a white head. Smells and tastes sweet hoppy with a grassy hoppy finish.
3.6 12 oz bottle at Paté Paté, Copenhagen. Copper color. Strong fresh citrus and pine aroma. Tart, citrusy and piney flavor with minerally bitterness in finish. Good fresh hop-forward pale ale.
2.9 Draft. Yellow, clear, musty aroma highly carbonated, sharp finish. Strong bitterness in the finish. Just ok.
