Lagunitas Hazy Wonder

Lagunitas Hazy Wonder

How can something so hazy be so bright? This Fascinating ferment is full of fabulous Sabro, Citra & Cashmere hops for a smooth tropical fruitiness. A slightly bitter, densely hazy phenomenon that's strangely light in mouthfeel, keeping you satiated and still coming back for more.

Hazy Wonder is a West Coast Hazy IPA free of schlarf, or the little bits or yeast and hops that murk up hazy beers. Full of not all but most of the "C" hops including Cashmere, Comet, Citra, Chinook, Centennial, and honorary "C" hops Simcoe, Sabro & Mosaic.

3.5 Can. Looks golden. Aroma of citrusy hops, pale and lightly sweet malts, and dough. Flavor the same, just sort of bland. Not bad for a widely distributed hazy IPA though.

3.0 Bleekgeel bier met kleine witte schuimkraag. Fris, citrus. Bitter, licht zoetje. Beetje flauw.
3.4 Can from supermarket. Slightly hazy color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, floral hops, resin, mango, a bit of pine and grass. Bitter finish with citrus, floral hops, resin, mango, caramel and grass. Okay brew.
3.7 Citrus tropical hop aroma and flavor with some piney in the finish to balance. Nice smooth hazy base beer. Easy drinking enjoyable beer.

4.2 fresh! bitter! citrus (bergamot, seville oranges), good bitter aftertaste. bright sunny hazy beer. a full mouth of NEIPA! bring it on!
3.5 Can 355ml a cloudy golden beer with low head. Nose on resin and agrumes. Taste is medium bitter and quite sweet. Aroma on lemon, agrumes, resin, ok.
3.4 Can: Drank from the can like a man. Aroma is fruity, citrus. Taste was hoppy, fruity, bitter, lively.
3.3 12oz can consumed on a Sat night at home. Pours a golden orange with decent amount of haze. White head quick to dissipate. Nose is citrus and tropical fruit. Taste leans a little more towards the bitter side of the aisle with citrus rind playing a role. There's good tropical fruit elements like mango and maybe mild pineapple. Finish is pretty dry with bitterness lingering. Somewhat underwhelming overall but nothing I'd turn down if offered.
3.7 [as Lagunitas Hazy Wonder IPA] On tap.
3.4 Tap at Huppel the Pub, Den Haag. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, tropical citrus, light toffee caramel. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a fresh, light, crisp, light pineapple, light floral dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
3.3 Assez sympa, hazy, pas trop d'amertume.
3.7 Tap, twee keer afgelopen week. Licht zoet en zuur. Aangenaam in mond, fris, fruitig, zomers ipa. Hoppig, zacht bitter. Leuk glas, jampotje.
3.5 12 oz can on United flight 4569 from Albuquerque, NM to Chicago, IL The ale poured a lemon juice color with a Big Foamy head. Floral hop aroma greets you. The aroma of lemon and lime was very mild. The taste had more citrus (grapefruit) and apricots. A very smooth hop profile. Not bitter. The ale has a medium body with average-fizzy carbonation.
3.3 Liquide doré légèrement trouble avec mousse très courte. Nez fruits tropicaux, mangues et ananas. En bouche, on retrouve le nez sans sucre avec une belle amertume terminale, propre !!
3.3 35.5cl can from a friend. Thin white head. Hazy golden pour. Nice bitterness.
3.4 Can from supermarket. Very hazy and very light-yellow pour with white head, retaining rather badly. Aroma of tropical fruits, pineapple, mango, next to a hoppy sense of straw & earth. Taste is mild sweet and moderate bitter. Easy and attractive NEIPA, not as sweet as some others, well in balance; pity of that bad looks.
3.2 Decent hazy IPA with citrus and juicy notes. Not overly bitter. Cloudy with a medium weight.
3.3 Alone at home. Hazy pale yellow colored beer with small white head and no carbonation. Hopped floral aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is hopped bitter fruited.
3.4 Pours hazy yellowish golden with a medium white head. The aroma consists of orange, grapefruit, pineapple, and pine. The taste is moderately bitter, although the sweetness is more intense then the bitterness. Pine and coconut stand over pineapple and grapefruit. Mild herbal elements and lemon are found underneath. Long, mild coconut finish. Medium bodied. This is good and I like everything in here. I just feel that this isn't as flavorful as it should be.
3.4 Can. Poured a hazy golden color with a white head. aromas of mixed fruits and citrus hops. flavors of the mixed fruits and citrus hops. It was somewhat juicy.
3.6 5/1/2020 - Can from Beer Baron. Pours a mostly clear straw color with a finger of white foam that lingers. Pineapple, guava and light mango aromas on the nose with some faint citrus notes. Low perceived bitterness on the palate but not really a NE IPA. Prickly pear, crisp carbonation and tropical fruit on the finish. Enjoyable.
3.5 Lichtgeel bier met schuim wat snel wegzakt. Smaak is bitterzoet en fruitig met iets van sinaasappel en ietwat thee. Drinkt heel makkelijk weg.
3.1 On tap at Stanley’s. Pours a near clear dull yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has slightly earthy citrus and light tropical fruits with a bit of sweet grain underlying. Flavor has earthy light citrus and a bit of grass and hay backing.
3.2 Light smell of maybe flowery hops?? taste is same, smooth mild flowery hops taste that is pretty good with time...medium mouthfeel, one dimensional, but it's a pretty decent dimension...gets better with time.......Had at hickory tavern for lunch as pandemic still carries on amongst the unvaxxed with 911k US deaths...omicron varient spreading quickly and I even got it from Megan a few weeks ago, but was triple vaxxed and it was pretty much nothing
4.1 The bitterness of an ipa soured up to elevate the perfect balance of this great rendition.
2.6 not great this classic west coast maker should not trying their hand at an east coast version. Not juicy, not very hazy, certainly no bursting smells and tastes.
3.8 LCI. Uit blik geschonken. Prima IPA, tropisch fruit, fris mondgevoel, hoppig, zachtbitter. Drinkt lekker weg.
3.4 12 oz can 12/14/21 (Binny's Montgomery Mix A Six) 41° In Shaker. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and floral. Taste of the same with some spiciness coming in. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and quite tasty.
