Lagunitas Sumpin' Easy

Lagunitas Sumpin' Easy

Dip beneath the flotsam of categories. Past nouns. Beyond exclamations! Down to the autological: words possessing the very property they express. Short is short. Sesquipedalian is long. Sumpin' has that thing on the tip of the tongue, and Easy just rolls off as easy as Sunday morning. Sumpin' Easy is everything we've learned about making hop-forward beer expressed in a moderate voice. Pale, cold, slightly alcoholic, and bitter. It's all we know.

3.5 Golden, Clean, White Beerhead, with frothy, medium and lacing foam. Ok retention. Clear Hoppy characters on the nose, such as citrus, orange, somehow grapefruit, elegant floral and piney hints. Light Sweetness, Soft carbonation, Medium bitterness, crispy touch. The taste is a balance performance of hops and malts. The bitterness is not lingering but dry in finish. A pretty enjoyable beer.
3.4 Keg at lagunitas tapkabinet. Pours clear golden, nose is lemon, orange, pine, taste is sweet, fruity, dry toffee. 3.4
3.7 Clear, golden color. Medium sized, white head. Citrus and bread in the aroma. Pleasant, hoppy bitterness in taste. A good one!
1.9 Can shared with Tom - sorry again. Also old, oxidized, cardboard. Not good, but expected.
3.6 It poured a hazy gold with a white head and sticky lacing. The aroma was floral, light citrus and pine. It was clean and light.
3.3 0,33 litre Can, gift from The in-laws. Light Golden with white head. Malts, hops, grain, pine, Citrus, some bitterness.
3.6 [Can (32oz)] Pours a clear gold with an average size long-lasting frothy white head. Some lacing on the glass. Nice aroma (7+) with lots of fruity hops, some spicy hops and bready malt in the back. Flavour of fruity and spicy hops -- I'd prefer less spicy, and more fruity myself -- along with a moderately bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. Pretty good Pale Ale.
3.6 Rated in 2019 and now 2020. This is a composite review. 12-ounce can pours clear pale yellow-gold with a 1/8" off-white head; loads of rising bubbles in glass; lots of clingy residual lacing. Aroma: lemon, floral, pine. Flavor: grapefruit, tangerine (tastes a bit like baby aspirin), pine, toaste. Mouthfeel: light- to medium-bodied, slightly creamy, yet crisp, finish. A decent chugger for a hot summer day, although ho-hum on a cold winter's night.
3.9 Espuma blanca que permanece, color Marillo transparente con bstante burbuja brotando, aroma intenso, cítrico y dulce en nariz, sabor que inicia en un amargo prominente que se torna en un regusto agradable
1.9 A big 20 oz can, I never saw a can like this before, its almost a crowler, but aint. It has a cool orange muscle car on the the label, I suspect its a chevy or even an olds from the 60's. Just $2 at chalet in boardman, nice place. I suspect its actually hazy pale from the previous raters. I drank this right out of the can from a really cold fridge. Very mellow for an ale. Pretty good carbonation. Man, this can is so big, bigger than a pounder fer sher. Sesquipedalian is long,a nd so is this can! How about this, they put a phone number on this can for you to call them: 707-769-4495. I think I'll give it a f=try and see if somebody actually icks up, that would be halarious.
3.4 Draft at Bru Craft. Hazy pale gold with a dense bright white head. Thick lace. Grassy lemony IPA with lightly toasted cracker malts. Pine. Pineapple. Orange passionfruit. Grapefruit. Quinine. Feels slightly plastic but still has a good bite for a Session IPA.
3.1 Pours a dull pale yellow with a foamy white head. Simple wheat flavors with very low bitterness. Not bad but nothing special.
2.6 0.35l can. Pours cloudy golden with white head. Aroma of tropical fruits and citrus/citrus peel. Taste is mango, passion fruit, citrus peel. A sting of bitterness in the finish. Acceptable. Unbalanced flavour and not a very good mouthfeel.
4.5 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
3.6 On tap at Lagunitas TapKabinet Amsterdam. A bit hazy light golden with big white head. Soft caramel malts, light bready as well, soft lime, herbal hops. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied as well. Has those nice US tasting malts, they're always a bit more rounded somehoow that European malts. Good use op hops too. It's nothing amazing, but a very classic and drinkeable US pale ale.
3.5 On tap at Lagunitas Tapkabinet, Amsterdam on 21-June-2019. Hazy pale amber in colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus and pine. Medium body and carbonation. Bitter on the palate, followed by a hoppy fruity body. Wheat, orange and floral hops. Nice, although a little too bitter.
3.2 Canned from K&B. Sightly sweet fruity hop character up front. Well balanced brew. Pretty easy drinking. Not super flavorful, but not bad.
3.1 Nice aroma of grapefruit, pleasant taste. Nice lasting head. Moderately bitter. Yes an easy drinking refreshing brew
1.8 Smell is pretty much non existent...Bland taste...kinda like a lightly bitter selzer water...nothing of note, let alone good
3.9 Dose in einem Whole Foods in den USA gekauft. Einfache ein wunderbares Bier. Aroma: Fruchtig (Tropische Früchtem, Mandarine, Grapefruit, Zitrus). Geschmack: Süß aber dann Bitter. Hopfen, Grapefruit, Tropenfrüchte. Etwas Erde.
3.9 Can. Bright gold body with a fluffy bright white head. Nose of funky leather and rich grapefruit. Hints of dried flowers. The taste is largely grapefruit rind and almonds. The finish is leathery with notes of hay. Smooth and light in the mouth. This one is really easy drinking and refreshing. Very well done.
4.0 Pours a pale golden. Lacing on the glass. Hops forward with . Wheat makes it lighter even with the hoppy bitterness.
3.6 Lagunitas Sumpin Easy ABV - 5.7 1 Pint Can, $2.50 Appearance - Clear golden, puffy white head, two fingers worth. Visible carbonation. Looks real good. (3/3) Aroma - West Coast hops; lots of pine, grapefruit, citrus, lemon zest. White bread, malty. Balanced. (9/12) Taste - White bread, malt, grains upfront providing a solid foundation for the hop bitterness that follows. Grapefruit, pine, slight earthiness. Bitterness lingers through the finish. Easy to drink, great balance. (14/20) Mouthfeel - Lighter side of medium bodied, dry. Very smooth and easy to drink. Drink ability - 3+ (4/5) Overall - Good solid beer, not overpowering in any way. Nice balance. (6/10) 36/50 - Very Good
3.3 A little more hoppy than I expected from a light beer, but good for what it is. Also a little more bitterness than I expected. Not to much malt taste either. Not a bad beer, but not a really good beer. middle of the road
3.1 Straw yellow with rather small nose and small head. Taste is fresh, light hoppy and with malty notes. Palate rather short and malts.
3.8 Light, pine-like taste
3.8 Fruity aroma, easy to drink. Just like the label says...Good flavor, not too strong.
3.2 Balanced, on the sweeter side. Tropical notes, low ibu. Full flavored and on the lighter side. Good brew!
3.5 From a tall can. Pours a clear gold with a thick off white head. Aromas of pepper and pine. Flavors are moderately bitter pine and citrus.
