3.5 How: Bottle. Where: Systembolaget. Appearance: Amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma: Citrus, tropical fruit, malt. Body: Medium body and carbonation. Flavour: Citrus, caramel, fruit.
4.6 This is fantastic. This is definitely a big ol imperial brown ale. It’s an absolute malt and coffee bomb and it’s 100% delicious. It’s has a huge brown sugar aroma which is amazing, and a nice roasty maltiness that just dominates. It’s super sweet, super tasty and just an overall malt bomb, but in a good way. It’s how I would want malt to be presented in a beer. I love how lagunitas pumps out these beers that are so delicious, but so reasonably priced. It blows my mind. Just another testament to how awesome they are. Cheers! Pick up this malt monster now.
4.0 Bottle from Systembolaget. Malty and hoppy smell, with wort and caramel. Similar taste. Nice.
3.5 Mørk brun klar med høyt beige skum. Lukter nøtter, brent karamell og humlelukt mot grapefrukt. Balansert, kjenner malten og humlen godt. Grapefrukt, nøtter, brent karamell og sitrus. Middels lang.
3.8 Clear, ruby-copper colored, medium to off white head, good lasting. Aroma is of malt, caramel, toffee, fruits, some floral and hoppy fruity notes. Taste is medium+ sweet malt, caramel, toffee, candy, fruity and floral hoppy notes, medium bitterness, dryish finish and bitter aftertaste. Medium+ bodied, soft carbonation, bit sticky, even some resin. (bottle)
4.2 22 oz bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Nice aroma of malt and citrus. Clear mahogany color, pock-marked beige head that stays at 2", bands of lace. Taste is dark malt, citrus, medium carbonation, a return of malt, then nuetral hops to finish, with a little malt returning at the very end. Balanced and complex. Highly recommended.
3.7 Pours a medium brown with a khaki head. Aromas of malt and some chocolate. Taste a lot more grapefruit and pine hops than you smell. Light to medium mouth feel with nice lacing in the glass. Nice beer with a pronounced hop finish.
3.5 Rich malty aroma, some chocolate, like a strong brown ale. Barely see through brown color with a very small cream colored ring of foam. The taste is surprisingly mild for Lagunitas. Brown ale characteristics, some smoke in the aftertaste, creamy and very drinkable. By far the least hoppy beer I have had from this brewery. Good silky palate, substantial for the ABV. Overall, this is a good entry in a category that is usually not my cup of tea. I have to disagree with RB on this one, it’s a brown ale, not an ASA.
3.7 Bottle from Chi-town brewery. Pours dark copper. Aroma is caramel and toasted malts, faint cocoa, earthy and woody notes, and faint floral notes. Flavor is dry and malty up front with light caramel sweetness followed by some roasty and earthy hop bitterness. Medium body.
3.5 Bomber from the brewery. Pours hazy nut brown with a bubbly beige head. Tastes like nutty malt, grapefruit hops, toast, grass, and straw. Light/medium body and medium carbonation. Smells like toasted malt, nutty, dried fruits, and straw.
3.6 bomber from md liquors...malty yet hoppy nose...really yummy good balance...nice smooth finish..yum..
3.6 Bottle. Clear brown with an inch of off white head that lasts pretty well. Aroma has toffee and some chocolate, lots of citrus flowers and grapefruit. Luscious texture with moderate carbonation. The richness of the malt doesn’t overpower the hops but pulls them into a broader palate. Chocolate and toffee, citrus overtones, enough bitterness to keep it drinkable rather than have the sweetness hang around. A well-made beer that doesn’t pretend to be for sipping delicately.
3.6 65cl från systembolaget. Längtade efter en brownale och denna satt fint till tacosen.
3.6 Bottled from Systembolaget Dark brown with a small, tan head. Sweet aroma with brown sugar and fudge. Sweet, slightly oily, flavour. Red berries, fudge and wet grass. Medium to high bitterness.
3.5 22 bomber to tulip. Pours ruby brown, tan short head. Aroma of pine, brown sugar, baking chocolate, dark fruit. Taste of same with some fall floral spices and nuts. Booze is acidic in finish.
3.6 Bottle to glass - pours a dark, tinted amber with a sudsy light beige head. Aroma is very malty and rich, caramel but well rounded with a floral, pine edge. Medium body and carbonation. Pretty standard for the style, malty toastiness, nice bitter finish with apple and traces of spice.
3.4 From bomber to tulip. Moderate chocolate aroma dominates. Slight bready background. Clear copper-brown with retained off-white head. Taste is sugary and sweet. Slight floral aspects and finishes rather bitter.
3.7 Beautiful deep amber beer with very little off white head. Aroma of dried fruits and toast and light sense of coffee. Really nice taste with lots of sweetness but balanced by roasted malty notes and some coffee notes. Pleasant experiance.
3.5 A dark Amber color with a foamy tan head. Aroma of malt, bread and a hint of chocolate. Tastes of bread and mat with some caramel and hops. Medium body with a malt finish.
3.7 Tempting lacy head. Fresh fruity smell with some promising tones of oak. Robust flavor with malt and acidy fruit, a little coffee, some bready parts and warm grass lawns. A bit too much alcohol perhaps. Can be recommended, though.
3.7 Beer tasting @ fillepolo 7/10-16. Fruity and hoppy with pine needles and grapefruit, also caramel. Body is medium, the finish is fruity and hoppy.

2.7 Tasting @ fillepolo 20161007. Bottle (650 ml) from Systembolaget. Lite tunn och tråkig.
3.2 22 oz. bottle. Smells hoppy. Thin head. Cola in color. You can taste the hops and some malt. Some sweet notes. Puts a little buzz on your tongue. Above average ale.
3.4 Malty, jam, alcohol, light coffee, actually a bit boozy. Deep amber colour, medium off-white head, lacing. Heavy sweet, medium bite, salty, layered malts. Medium/fullbodied, small lively bubbles, sweet, salty and warming finish.
3.9 22-oz bomber. Pours reddish brown with a fluffy off-white head that dissipates to a clumpy, sticky head. Aromas of brown sugar, toffee and piney hops. Flavors are brown sugar, a bit of toffee, earthy hops, bread and a touch of herbs. Rich, creamy mouthfeel. Really very nice.
3.6 650ml bottle from Systembolaget. Clear mahogany, dense and fluffy off-white head, good lacing. Biscuity and toasted aroma, caramel, nuts, citrus zest and burnt dark sugar. Medium carbonated, a bit fizzy, full-bodied, sweet and chalky mouthfeel. Sweet caramel taste with citrus zesty bitterness, toasted and chalky, grapefruit, nutty, earthy and resinous. Long pine bitter finish.
3.3 Bottled: Clear, dark red brown with a mid-sized, creamy head. Malty aroma of fudge, toffee and dark berries. Malty taste of fudge, brown sugar and some licorice. Somewhat harsh finish.
3.8 Reddish brown with firm head. Nose with hints of pine and some hoppy freshness. Taste is sweet with some cacao and bitterness. Lingering almost caramel touch. Leaves with a longlasting finish keeping up the sweet notes and warmth.
