3.7 From the bottle. Certainly a strong coffee aroma, the flavor is coffee bean, fruity. The bean fruit flavor continues into the finish. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I kind of like it
3.9 Bottle. Black with a beige head. Roasted malt aroma with notes of coffee and some dark chocolate. Very flavorful.
3.6 Didn’t know this was a sweet stout, sorta off for style i guess. This one has a simple balanced roasty flavor. its smooth and unoffensive, Pretty good overall, could drink a few of these.
4.0 Tap at brewery. Very dark with Brown head. Nice chocolate cordial aroma. Roasty, chocolate. Creamy with a dry finish.
3.3 Sample at SBWF 2016. Black with a tan head. Aroma of coffee, some chocolate and caramel. Similar taste. The body was on the light side.
3.2 Intense coffee, bitter, dark, toasted malts, cacao. Hazy, dark brown, small, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. More dark, toasted malts, cacao, coffee, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Just about OK Sweet Stout, bit harsh coffee in aroma, lacks complexity in palate. Keg at brewery, Milwaukee.
3.5 On tap at the Heartland Bar in the Sheraton Madison, WI., dispensed to a shaker displaying a black/brown color, with a frothy layer of tan head foam, and waves, spots & streaks of lacing. The nose was malty and nicely creamy, but not heavily roasted, with chocolate, moderate coffee, some caramel sweetness, and subtle hints of spice, herbs, and greenery. Medium bodied, with soft carbonation, the taste added a roasted & earthy bitterness that expressed some dryness into the finish. Described as an Organic Coffee Stout, and a Sweet Stout here, but only a moderate amount of both were presented. Not overly robust, but flavorful, nonetheless.
3.7 Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is chocolate, caramel, coffee, taste is sweet toffee, creamy, light coffee, chocolate.
3.1 Distinct coffee aroma with malty, toasty notes. Pours dark brown with creamy tan quick foam. Rich, roasted malty flavor with strong coffee. Coffee becomes a little bitter at the end. Medium body with moderate fizziness.
3.2 12oz bottle at home - pours black with a tan foamy head - smells of malty chocolate espresso - tastes hoppy coffee flavor is surprisingly absent.

3.1 Bottle from Hopology, Nottingham. Deep ruby black colour with a very thin tan head. Aroma is sweet coffee, taste very light coffee, but big sweet. Not as much coffee, as i expected.
4.0 Poured from a nicely chilled 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass, clean. 1st, coffee; then not coffee but stout; then, coffee with cream and sugar, then stout and finally, stout coffee with stout; both black, both good. A tasteful gas, this.
2.5 Aroma is coffee. Taste is somewhat weak coffee taste and on the lighter side. Overall just OK.
3.2 Black pour. Coffee in the aroma. Flavor is coffee. Very pronounced. A roasted coffee flavor throughout. Really dominant.
3.5 Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty coffee aroma with hints of chocolate. Roasted malty coffee and chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty coffee and chocolate finish.
3.5 Draft at Milkboy. Opaque black/brown pour with a solid tan head. Splashes of lace. Creamy cold coffee. Notes of carob, chocolate easter bunny, chocolate liquorice, burnt roasty flavors. Caramel toast. Cigarettes. Too deep a brew for the faint of heart.
3.6 Bottle 12fl.oz. [ As Lakefront Fuel Cafe ]. Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, strong coffee, moderate chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, sweet coffee. 3.3 Bottle. Pours a black color with one finger head. Fresh coffee bean, vanilla, roasted malt. Slight lactose. Light sweetness. Creamy. Pretty good coffee stout.
3.1 Bottle at The Roebuck, Leek (Titanic) Pours a deep brown colour with a thin beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, some caramel, slight vanilla, a little roasted malts and subtle dark fruits, maybe strawberry quality. Taste of roasted malts, coffee, some chocolate, subtle caramel and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, roasted coffee bitterness in the finish. Nice aroma of sweet caramel and chocolate but the taste is quite roasty and earthy, like cold espresso. It’s ok but not sessionable.
2.6 Bottle - Nice black pour with a creamy light tan head. Nose is metallic, with dark, chocolatey roast, acidic coffee notes, and a bit of vanilla. Taste is the same, with more of a mocha milkiness to it. Thin, watery body with ample carbonation. Not enough coffee and not a beer I’d go to again.
3.6 Bottle. A- Coffee, chocolate, roasty, subtle vanilla. A- Black color, dark liquid, light brown head. T- Roasty, bitter chocolate, slightly dry, coffee. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, dry roasty finish. O- This was tasty but still left some to be desired. The coffee on the nose is nice but doesn’t translate to the palate more than just a bit. A tad messy but again, it was decent.
2.3 Good amount of coffee on the nose and the tongue. The head was thinner than I like and the body was light medium and it was nearly black.
3.0 Light, coffee bean aroma. Flavor is heavy bean malts, and actually lighter on the coffee flavor.
3.1 Poured from the bottle into a shaker glass. Black with a tan head that settles quickly. Aroma is roasted malt with some chocolate notes. Flavor is quite roasty, but like the aroma it doesn't have much else going on. Not really picking up the coffee in the aroma or the flavor. Medium bodied with fairly high level of carbonation. Decent brew but very one note.
3.5 Bottle at GBBF ’15, day 3, 13/08/15. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a moderate light beige swirl. Nose carries good coffee vibes, burnt caramel, light spice, dark malts. Taste comprises sweet coffee, biscuit, toffee, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent coffee number.
3.9 Bottle. Black with virtually no head. Lovely coffee flavours dominate. Smooth and creamy. My first from this brewery and an excellent start.
3.9 12 oz bottle from J J Liquors in Edgewater. Black appearance with a tan head. Rich, earthy aroma with a fresh roasted coffee and espresso flavor. Nicely done overall.
