Lakefront IPA

Lakefront IPA

Pours a radiant copper with a rocky white head that lasts, and leaves a soft lace on the glass. Cascade, Chinook, and Citra™ hops dominate the aroma, yielding a citrusy, floral bouquet. The hops give a nice bite, but this beer is well-balanced with a full body and a rounded, malty flavor to back up the hops. It finishes smooth with a lingering hop flavor reminiscent of fresh ruby red grapefruit.

2.8 Very mild flowery IPA smell...taste is smooth but pretty one dimensional...lightly bitter but malty mouthfeel...lightly sweet finish...decent but not my style...had from mix pack brought by Mario, a friend of Ann's from Florida when they were here for Halloween 2017
3.0 давно то було, але вражень не лишилось. певно не щось аж-аж, але я люблю IPA golden, hazy,
3.4 August 19, 2017 - bottle at Tammie’s house. Nicely balanced, citrus and some pine. Nice brew on a sunny day with the lake view.
3.4 Golden brown with an off white foam. Nice mango blast as the bottle is opened. Floral pine with herbal notes. Juicy fruit with sweet caramel and a peppery finish.
4.0 Very nice American India pale ale. Perfect bitterness. A little high in alcohol content, otherwise very good.
3.9 Jackson's Blue Ribbon Pub, Wauwatosa, WI, draft. Smells like honey. Looks like an unclouded IPA. Great taste, smooth, refreshing.
3.3 0.3 bottle. Pours dark orange color with medium to high white head. Nice aroma of mango and tropical fruits. Flavor is medium to high sweet, very malty. Finish is medium long, medium bitter. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.3 12oz bottle copper pour with off white head aroma is citrus and floral taste is slightly sweet medium sour medium carbonation
2.6 Golden orange mildly-hazy brew with a good and lasting head. Nose is muted. Mostly biscuit and a bit of hoppy pine. Taste: a bit syrupy and muddy. Earthy notes with a bit too much sweetness. Like a double-fermented ESB gone awry. Avoid.
4.2 Earthy mix of American hops, brewed with Cascade but somewhat different than the typical grapefruit/citrus bomb. Solid malt base accentuated with some caramel malt for color. Moderate malt sweetness and great mouthfeel. Lingering hop bitterness is pleasant and interesting, without being harsh. In a crowded field of American IPAs Lakefront stands near the front of the pack.
5.0 Pours golden copper. Thick, medium, off-white head that lasts a while with good lacing. Smells Pine, malt, Herbal, dank. Tastes bready and doughy malt, Pine, hints of citrus and floral. Finishes dry and A light bitter linger. Medium body and creamy lower medium carbonation. Surprisingly not bitter for the amount of hops flavor.
2.7 Bottle thanks to cgarvieuk. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - fusty orange. Burnt earthy thing. Taste - yeah similar. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture. Meh finish. Overall - no, no!
3.2 Bottle at ash’s. Pours hazy orange, nose is crystal malt, grapefruit, taste is sweet, dry, citrus, toffee.
3.1 Bottle at ash’s... Copper amber.. Thin white lacing.. Soft caramel crystal nose...
3.4 Orange body foamy white head. Citrus in the aroma. Taste is sweet, a touch of bitterness, but not crazy-bitter. A decent IPA.

3.5 355ml bottle from drygate. Pours hazy golden amber with a thin white head. Aromas of orange, light resin. Taste is light sweet, more orange and resin. Pretty straightforward US IPA.
3.3 355ml bottle at home on 5 Mar 2017, from Drygate Bottle Shop, Glasgow, floral, orange aroma, murky golden amber with a thin off-white head, a harsh orange, toffee flavour, sweetish earthy floral finish.
3.1 12 oz. bottle. Hazy copper, off white head. Aroma was pine resin, pine cleaner, fruit. Taste was mild bitter, pine, spruce, long piny hops finish.
3.4 Pours copper in color with a slight haze with a soft white head. Light fruit hop aroma. Dry fruity hop flavor with a medium bodied malty backbone, fairly dry. This a solid beer but probably a bit behind the IPA train at this point in time. Notes: on tap at the Columbia SC airport, Feb ’17
3.5 Fat på Thunder Bay Grill. Bärnstensfärgad med vitt skum. Fruktig doft med passionsfrukt och ananas. Bra beska och maltbas, lite fruktig.
3.4 Bitter citrus fruits, bitter orange, grain and cereal malts, light caramel. Slightly hazy, dark gold, small, creamy, off-white head. Light bitter. More bitter citrus fruits, orange, grapefruit, lively carbonation, medium body. Keg at brewery, Milwaukee.
3.6 Bottle. Hazy golden/amber body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of blood orange and Turkish Delight. Flavour of flowery hops and grapefruit with a bitter finish. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Light fizz. This reminded me of Sierra Nevada’s Pale Ale, albeit a bit rougher around the edges.
3.4 Hazy orange with a white head. Aroma of wheat and hops. Flavor is sweet with grass and straw coming through. Some hops upfront but it quickly disappears with with a wet finish. Not bad.
3.3 Pours in yellow clear liquid with medium size good lasting white head. Aroma of spruce, mango, exotic fruits. high bitter, lightly sweet. Light body, thin feel, average carbonation, strong bitter finish

3.6 Pours a nice deep amber color. Aromas of citrus. Strong hop flavors with malts and a dry finish.
3.3 Draught at Rams. Dark and roasty IPA with a considerable malt backbone and earthy hop balance. The 7 ABV killed me tonight/wasn’t expecting it. I’m afraid the beer must suffer.
3.0 12oz bottle. Pours amber with a ton of chunks floating about even though I pulled up from the pour and left most of the sediment in the bottle. Below average IPA imho but it’s drinkable. meh
