2.6 Ruskean kuramainen lasissa. Tuoksu on makea, banaaninen ja kypsän hedelmäinen. Maussa on sokeria, ruista ja maltaisuutta. Ei ollenkaan hapotusta.
3.0 On tap at Suuret Oluet Pienet Panimot - Tampere, pours a clear amber, no head. Aroma brings out lots of juniper berries, soil, and earthy rye notes. Flavour is quite fruity, with lots of red berries, juniper berries, soil, and earthy rye. Lots of berries, with an earthy, soily finish. Flat carbonation. Interesting stuff.
3.7 from Cask @ Bryggeri helsinki. giallo ambrato scarico, quasi aranciato. velata. Schiuma beige minimale, debole la persistenza. aroma intenso, citrico, scorza di limone, cereali, nessun sentore di luppoli aromatici. gusto acido, senza essere troppo impattante, fruttato, agrumato, marmellata di albicocche. Corpo debole, carbonatazione bassa, spigolosa senza eccessi. Equilibrato ed armonica.

3.3 Score: 7 / 4 / 6 / 3 / 13 From bottle at BKL 2018. Amber-brownish, hazy body, with a small, beige head. Aroma of red fruits, spices, dried fruits, caramel, slight barnyard. Tastes quite similar, but sweeter, with some more honey. Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with a low carbonation. Finishes medium sweet, a bit spicy, fruity, with honey, caramel. Good. Pretty sweet and not that unique as expected. Still with nice berry notes and well drinkable.

4.4 Tasted from tap as well as from various containers in various places. As typical Sahti, looks cloudy with almost no head at all. Very low carbonation and low bitterness. Sweet, strong taste with herbs, fruits, banana & juniper. Style of ancient beer. Lammi’s Sahti is close the best Sahti you can ever find available commercially but remember: good Sahti strongly divides opinions - usually you either love or hate it.
3.6 8 2 8 3 15 Draft shared at Bryggeri Helsinki. Murky brown with a few off white bubbles. Aroma of banana, toffee, caramel and condensed milk. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet. Medium bodied with very soft carbonation.

3.0 Bottle. be like an archaeologist tasting this historical beer stye, very old technique and juniper!
1.9 I didn’t care for this, my first true sahti. The aroma is quite pungent, almost curdled milk. The flavor has a similar funk to it that just didn’t work at all for me.
AGAIN: Fass. CBA. KW18. 8/2/7/4/16 WacholderKräuter⚡ & holzige UnblendedWeizenbock🙌 ...passe an...bin sozusagen bereit ;)
3.5 Tap @HBF 2016. Murky dark brown color. Tiny size, white head, stays as a ring. Sweet, raisins, juniper and smoke in aroma. Yeasty, sweet, raisins, banana, juniper in taste. Sweet, banana and fruity juniper in aftertaste. Soft to almost no carbonation. Nice and mellow. Very drinkable.
3.5 30th March 2016 Bryggeri Helsinki. From an (official) plastic bottle, about a 6 pinter I reckon! Hazy amber beer, no head. Very modest carbonation. Nice tangy fruits, dried fruits and crystallised fruits, not that sweet. Orange, lemon and cranberry ensue. Traces of spice and herb. Light fruity tangy finish. Nice Sahti, goes down very easy.
3.8 0.33 l bottle @ Bryggeri Helsinki. Brown cloudy colour. No head. Taste is a bit sweet since sahti has no hops at all. There is also some banana taste. Lammin sahti is my favourite in this style. Well, I have sampled actually just a few of them, since they are not widely available.
3.5 Many thanks to Janne for this - Pours brown - nose/taste of banana bread, tree bark, sorghum, juniper branches and light tobacco - medium body
3.7 From my Sahti source VastActiv, so they now put this in bags however he diddnt think he could get through customs with it so poured in some traditional plastic bottle. Pours a flat brownish red with no head. Nose is tobacco, berry, and bready. Tastes of juniper, fruit punch, banana bread, menthol cigarettes, and some pecan. Chewy mouthfeel. I had the American made version of this brew on tap which seem more juniper and less menthol. Either way love me some Sahti not sure what it is about this strange brew.
3.7 Sample at Örebro Öl & Whisky 2015. Spicy, malty and yeasty smell. Similar taste. Low carbonation. Well hidden ABV, felt more like 5%. I think this was my first real sahti.
4.6 On draught at Villi Wäinö in Helsinki and stopper-bottled direct from the brewery. That means it was the Finnish version, not the collaboration brew or something transported informally to some far-off place - Lammin Sahti has no hops and so does not travel. I am too old and polite to launch a screaming rant at ignorami who think that just because they don’t get it there is something wrong with it, rather than that they have limitations. Sahti is a folk beer style. It pre-dates Ratebeerians by several centuries. You judge it by its own standards not today’s simpler ones. If a sahti smells and tastes of banana bread that is because it is supposed to taste like banana bread. It is a rye beer fermented with bakers’ yeast or cultivated softer-end wild yeast, filtered by and infused with juniper (branches not berries) then packaged for consumption. By all means conclude it is not for you but don’t even dare to contemplate that it is not for the world. It will outlast IPA à la mode, I would like to bet. And this is not A sahti, it is THE sahti. The other Finnish sahti brewers may be the equal but none yet surpasses it.
3.5 On tap at The Ruck. Pours a deep brown to black with a thin tan head. Warm banana and juniper. On the thin side of medium, tart and roasty. Pine and banana, warm roast, a hint of cocoa. Sweet into the finish,a bit of smoke, cocoa, banana.
3.2 Tap @ Brygga. Pours hazy beige. Bananas and wheat with yeast. Fruity with banana and some licorice and yeast. Sticky with wide body, sour and sweet.
