Originally brewed by Thwaites, the brand was contract brewed at Marston’s Wolverhampton plant (Banks’s) from 2013, then bought completely by Marston in March 2015. The brand initially continued to be sold under the Thwaites name and logo, but by 2016 the Thwaites name had been dropped.

2.9 Bottle. Amber color with thick off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, red fruits. tsste, caramael, red fruits, light sourness, papery, english hops.

3.9 red-amber with a decent white head. aroma is strong and pleasant of fruity berries, somewhat piney and resiny. taste is slightly dry, good caramel, strong bitterness. this is the most exact average of what a good bitter you'd expect to be. great. this is a surprise.

3.0 Clear amber with a foamy white head. Has a mild berry fruit aroma and flavour, with an astringent kick and dollops of caramel, finishing with a mellow bitterness

2.4 Bottle. Karamelová farba, slabá biela pena. Vôňa železitá, karamelová, umelá. Chuť prázdnejšia, železitosť, karamel, mierne kakao.

3.2 Copper colour, off white thick foam. Nice bitterness with malty tones in the finishing. Almost creamy texture and typical British ale mouthfeel. Nice.

3.0 0,5 l beer from Lidl Germany. Clear dark copper with a one finger white frothy head in the glass. Looks good. Pale fruity smell, some citrus with some malt. Taste is hoppy, some bitterness, citrus and low licorice. Not bad.

2.8 Svi ti Engleski Bitteri su mi ista pašta.. Pitanje je samo da li su neki mrvicu sladniji i samim time manje vodenastiji.. Uglavnom , aroma tih piva je hmeljno-herbalna , okus prvenstveno gorak onda dolazi nekakva vrlo slaba sladnost i suhovoćna slatkost i još neki začini nešto kao đumbir ili čak malko borovine.

3.0 Bottle from Lidl SK West Mids brewery no.16 Pours clear amber with thin off-white head. Light caramel notes on nose. Sweetish, med bodied, caramel flavors. Okay

3.3 Bottle via Lidl SK. Moderate body, med-light carbonation. Quite clean, mostly malty. Med-light caramelly nutty flavour. Mostly dull bitterness, with hops character absent. Not much more to say here. Rather easy drinking, good basic thirst quencher.

3.5 Classic bitter. Very nice flavours biscuits, toffee, yeast. Light bitter aftertaste. Really tasty beer.

3.4 Bottle@home, from Tuulensuu, Tampere, Finland. Medium, averagely balanced nuances of amber malts and some English hops. A hint of red berries. Medium taste spectrum and medium/short aftertaste with amber malts. Medium, soft body with medium carbonation. Overall, much bolder than would assume from the percentage. Good. 5 3 7 4 15

2.7 50 cl bottle at home. Drank on January 31st 2020 as Lancaster Bomber (4,4%).

2.7 Clear amber color with a small white head. Bitter grain and malt aroma with light bitter dry aftertaste.

3.1 Bottle. Clear dark amber colour with a medium slightly off-white head, nose is malty, grassy, roasty and buttery with notes of caramel and biscuits, taste is sweet, roasty and malty with a moderately dry finish and a full body.

3.6 Ich finde den Namen schon mal toll. Ein Bier nach einem häßlichen Bomber zu benennen, passt zu den EU-Abspaltern auf der Insel. Das Bier wird als "full-bodied" beschrieben, was durchaus zutrifft. Es ist ein schön vollmundiges Amber Ale mit einem Stich Pumpernickel und Marzipan. Es hat mir eigentlich recht gut geschmeckt. Danke an die Craftbier-Box von LIDL.

3.2 Creamy off white head left a spotty cover on a clear amber body. Caramel & malt aroma. Medium bodied, sharp on the front with a creamy back. Sweet caramel, sugar, jam & berry tastes with a long tangy finish. Decent Pint.

3.0 Butelka 0,5 l, z zestawu z Lidla. Piana barwy brudnej bieli, średnio obfita, dość gęsta, opada do warstwy, z bardzo ładną pajęczynką koronki. Kolor ciemnobursztynowy do miedzianego, lekko zamglone. Aromat jest niezbyt intensywny ale przyjemny, nuty karmelowe, toffi, biszkoptowe, lekkie diacetylu, estrowe czerwonego jabłuszka, truskawek i poziomek, żywiczne. W smaku pólwytrawne, lekko cienkie, toffi, karmel, przypalanka, pieczone jabłka, przyprawowość, ziołowość, żywica. pełnia niska, wysycenie średnie, goryczka średnio niska, o ziołowo-przyprawowym charakterze, zapewniająca balans. O dziwo całkiem dobry, pijalny bitter z dość bogatą, chociaż niezbyt intensywną, paletą aromatów i smaków. Dobry balans słodowości, estrowości i nut odchmielowych.

3.3 A strongish flavoured English bitter. Some brown bread flavours coming from the malt, like the slightly sweet Hovis biscuits. This is balanced out well with the bitterness of the hops on the aftertaste, which give something quite punchy that I can’t place, then a touch of white grapefruit and a lingering aftertaste of darjeeling tea. Perhaps doesn’t stand out massively in its originality but nevertheless a good example of this type of beer.

3.8 Esta buena. Tostada suave.

2.6 Too little bitterness to my opinion with a bit of a watery taste. Not bad but not sensational.

2.6 Piana o kolorze ciemnej bieli, wybiła mi niewysoka, zwarta, złożona z drobnych pęcherzy i nielicznych średnich pływających na powierzchni, dość szybko się zredukowała do niewielkiej ilości po bokach, szyła na szkle. Kolor ciemnej herbaty, piwo jest średnio klarowne, wysycenie spore. Zapach kwiatowy, słodowy, owocowy (np. cytryny). Smak tutaj przewagę ma słód, z lekkim podbiciem goryczki, jest trochę trawiasto. Szału i zachwytów nie ma.
