"Dark Lager"

Ingredients: Water, Malt, Roasted malt, Unmalted cereals, Hops

The elite among beers: this is because of its nobility and fullness, rich taste and effect. It used to come to the table to crown a banquet. Today a glass of dark beer on the bar is something usual. Dark beer drinkers are cosmopolitan in outlook, sybaritic by nature and are true connoisseurs of taste.

3.3 Dark brown color, very malty. Medium carbonation. Taste: light bitter finish. Watery texture.
4.0 The beer has a lovely look. The color of the beer is a nice dark brown with a ruby red touch. The beer is quite clear. On top of the beer there is a nice layer of brownish foam, quite soft. The bulk of the foam collapses quickly, to leave a nice minimal drape. The smell is very nice. I smell a lovely bitter roast aroma, with hints of coffee and chocolate. There is also a nice sweetness. The smell is in quite good balance. The taste is slightly less. There is the same delicious roasty toasty flavor, but there is a metaly flavor to. This isn’t that nice. Accept for thes, the beer is lovely. Great.
3.1 Pours dark brown from the can. The tan colored head is creamy and rich, but soon fades. Aroma is plenty of dark chocolate and caramel. Nice. Taste is marked by a sweetness that verges on cloying. Here also is plenty of chocolate. Medium bodied. Decent enough, a touch too sweet, and not as balanced as the other mass produced Slovenien dunkel from Union.
3.4 Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into a goblet. Appearance: Dark, brown, almost black colour, depending on light it may vary to deep red. Medium foam. Aroma: Gentle aroma of barley and caramel. Palate: Medium body, gentle carbonation. Taste: Gentle sweetness. Roasted malt. Bitter aftertaste. Overall impression: One of my favourite beers and one of the most drunk. But as I can recall, it use to have more full body, it was thicker.
2.6 Clear brown liquid, large head. Aroma of pilsner. Light body, strong carbonation. Taste is bitter but weak.
3.0 bottle @ supermarket. brown colour, medium body, semi carbonated, malty, caramel and a bit strange aroma that I can’t name it
3.3 Bottle 33cl. brought from Slovenia by my colleague Huub, thanks pal. Poured into a teku glass. Clear amber brown, tall creamy beige head, mostly diminishing, heavy lacing; aroma roasted malts, dark fruits, caramel, licorice; taste light heavy sweet and slightly bitter, roasted malts, sugary, toffee, light retronasal smokiness; aftertaste sweetbitter, sugary, slightly roasted; medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation; nice dunkel.
2.1 Clear and dark brown in colour. Malty nose. Weird and somewhat off putting sour aftertaste.
3.0 Ciemnobrunatne, nieprzejrzyste. Piana drobna, beżowa. Opada do kożuszka na powierzchni, bez śladów na szkle. W aromacie ciemne słody, lekko słodka nuta. Trochę paloności. W smaku ciemne słody, ale nie jest słodkie. Lekko kwaskowy posmak. Kawowe w posmaku, jak zimna, słaba, posłodzona kawa. Przeciętne.
2.9 Doznievajúca kávaová príchuť celkom ulahodila môjmu jazyku ,aróma nebola taká akú by som čakala pri tmavom pive ale inak ľahké na pitie , no nič extra špeciálne
2.7 Clear dark brown with tan head. Subtle aroma of caramel. Medium bitterness, mostly caramel with some roastiness. A bit too carbonated. Not bad.
2.7 Fľaša, Čierna farba, hnedá pena. Vôňa karamelu, lieskových orieškov. Chuť sladová, karamelová, jemne oriešková. Pražené slady, jemne horká dochuť.
3.0 33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from my parents. Dark brown with a thin off-white head. Faint roasted malts and caramel in the aroma. Taste is sweet to bittersweet with a sour note in the background. Nice one.
3.1 33cl bottle. Pours dark brown colour with medium head. Nice caramel smell. Taste is too hoppy too fast. Bitter aftertaste. Quite average.
3.9 Really easy-drinking and still flavorful brew, in 11.2 oz bottles in Bled. Avoids the overly sugared-caramel notes of other beers of the style, while retaining some essential malt sweetness. Alcohol burn is minor but detectable at the right level really. Good stuff and sessionable too!
3.7 330ml bottle from Moneo restaurant, Rovinj, Croatia (25 kuna): Quite an enjoyable beer from Laško & one I’m very pleased to have tried, there was a very nice dark roasted malt flavour with good sweetness & the odd milky taste coming through that all worked well together. The balance of the beer was a good one & it proved very easy to drink, it’s definitely one I’d order again when in the region.
3.0 Chestnut color, off white head, some lacing. Caramel, grain and malt in aroma, sweet malty taste, medium bodied, a bit roasty aftertaste. It does not offer much but it is still quite good and drinkable.

2.7 33cl bottle riverside in Novo Gorizia. Pours a mostly clear caramel amber with some tight, white head. Nose is mild, some cereal, toast, a little caramel. Flavor has a nice roasty character I wasn’t expecting, bread, toast, mild brown sugar. Watery finish.
2.9 Bottle. Pours clear chestnut, small fizzy beige head, dissipates quickly, minimal lacing. Aroma is light and roasty, grain. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, a bit acidic, roasty, not a lot else. Medium body.
3.0 Barwa ciemna, piana beżowa, wysoka, dość szybko opada. W aromacie nuty palone, kawowe i słodowe. W smaku czuć na końcu wyraźną, przyjemną paloną goryczkę. Przyjemne nuty kawowe i słodowe. Bardzo przyjemne w odbiorze piwo.
2.6 On tap. Nose and taste are slightly sour fruits, dark malts, syrup. Dont know if sourness is intended.
