Laugar Aupa Tovarisch

Laugar Aupa Tovarisch

Russian Imperial Stout.

4.1 33cl bottle from beerbay.net. Pours pitch black, with minimal brown foam, fine. Aroma is rich, nutty, vanilla, coffee, chocolate, figs, molasses. Body is only partially dense, smooth, with limited carbonation. Taste is intensely roasty, with good underlying sweetness too. Final is not particularly strong, still consistent with taste.
3.9 Noire, belle mousse brune, fines bulles.
3.7 13-FEB-2021, bottle @Mortens. Almost black and almost no head. Roast, soy, touch of smoke. Sweet, bitter, no carbonation. Really tasty but faulty.
4.5 17-09-2020 @laovejaelectrik Torrelavega De color oscuro. Sabor a café, chocolate y regaliz.
4.0 Stout impérial avec beaucoup torrification. . .
Textura oleosa, cuerpo medio-denso y carbonatación baja. Imponente.
5.0 10-09-2020; bottle; at home (bought at Kaapse Brouwers Bottle Shop). The looks of the beer are great. It seems like it is a very decent RIS. The beer is pitch black. In the light some dark ruby red notes can be seen. On top a slight layer of grayish brown foam can be seen. Foam retention is not that high. Hardly a drape is left after a short time. During pouring off the beer, some flakes dropped into the glass. This doesn't look as appealing, but whatever. Overall, it looks great. The aroma of the beer is very nice. It is that typical RIS bouquet. Malts give nice aromas of chocolate, coffee. There is nice roast and toast. Coffee, some toffee, some notes of vanilla. There is some oak wood. Hops are nice and herbal, with some leaf notes and some earthy touches. Very nice. The taste of the beer is nice too. There are loads of nice sweet malts and bitter hops. The roast gives some bitterness too, and a slight savory note. Quite nice. It is well balanced. Very rich. The palate is very nice. Smooth texture, full body, rich. Carbonation is low. The beer is silky smooth and nice and thick. The finish has a pleasant warming alcohol note. Also roast and toast and chocolate are there in the back, together with nice oak and vanilla and earthy and herbal hops. All in all, a very decent beer and a true RIS. Congrats.
3.7 Bottle left behind by Jf thx Sexy A: chocolaty, cacao, light light licorice, caramel light roasty App: pitch black no head. T/p: full body with sweet finish of short to med duration. 4.6 Ordered online at SAQ, savoured on Christmas Eve while watching The Hobbit, fantastic moment, quite the perfect pairing. Beautiful!
4.4 Bottle. Jet black, medium brown head. Aroma is sweet, loaded with burnt espresso, soy sauce, intense roast, and bitter cocoa nibs. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy, with a soft carb. Finish is sticky, medium bitter, loads of coffee, and sticky, sweet charred malts. This is a huge old school impy stout. Good stuff!
4.3 Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from online. Pours black-brown with a frothy, beige head. This is just a great imperial stout, with rich and meaty dark malt character, a little ham and smoke, rounded chocolate, alcohol, sturdy roast, mellow earthy bitterness. Full bodied, moderately chewy, with fine carbonation and velvety texture. Warming finish, with further dense dark malts, rich cocoa, touches of peat and cured ham, burnt honey, toasted caramel, restrained bitterness. Exceptional depth crossed with high drinkability. No mucking about, either. Just great stout.
3.8 Bottle. 12%. Black. Brown head, three fingers, good retention, beautiful lacing. Difficult to see the carbonation through the darkness. Texture is almost creamy, rather unctuous. Aroma is molasses, ripe fruits, maple syrup, black chocolate, hints of coffee, caramel. Taste is molasses, ripe fruits, maple syrup, heavy chocolate, black chocolate, dried fruits, sugar, caramel, hints of coffee. Sweet with a bittersweet finish. Alcohol is well integrated. Rather bitter aftertaste. One of the best RIS from Spain.
3.8 Negra oscura. Casi nula espuma y poca carbonatacion, cuerpo denso de trago sedoso. Sabores principalmente torregsctos y cafetosos.
3.8 Black and thick pour, no head, no lacing. Aroma of roasted barley, chocolate and dark fruits. Tastes sweet, with some burnt bread crust, chocolate, coffee and dried fruits. Viscous, full bodied, no carbonation. Old school Russian, solid.
Quel palis gustatif! (12/2023 181002) (2800-290619)
3.9 Bottle. Almost black. Vanilla, oak, soft vinous notes,, Hints of smoke and roast in the aroma. Full bodied. Vinous flavor. Sweet, vanilla, licorice, roast, grapes. Complex. This is nice.
3.9 Bouteille.
3.8 Bottle. At home black colour with small off beige head.Aroma of ash tree and soya good full body with roasted nots of chocolade and coffee really strong overall beer.
3.7 Bottle from HonestBrew. Pours a black colour with a thin mocha head. Aroma of dark chocolate, burnt caramel, some molasses, liquorice, slight soy sauce and subtle smoke. Taste of dark chocolate, liquorice, burnt caramel and malts, slight molasses, soy sauce, spicy dark dried fruits, a hint of smoke and subtle alcohol. Full bodied and slick texture. A long, bittersweet, spicy fruit, chocolate and burnt malt bitterness in the finish. Rich, sticky, malty, sweet and booze stout.
4.3 Color negro, opaca. Cuerpo oleoso. Enorme Imperial Stout de trago largo, agresiva y potente, no me canso de beberla.
3.6 Black color with almost no foam. Aroma is quite savory with fish sauce notes and root beer. Taste has malt syrup, roasted grains and a bit of soy sauce. Medium plus body with low carbonation. Pretty legit RIS.
3.6 Süffiger, weich malziger Beginn. Starke Holznoten, geringe Herbe. Süffig bleibend, viel Schokolade, etwas Kaffee. Langer, intensiv malziger Abgang. Gefällt. 10/11/10/11/12/11
