3.6 Bottle from Total Wine & More, McLean. Light amber body with medium head. Nose is hoppy, grapefruit, spices. Taste is hops, fruits, grapefruit and spices. Creamy texture. Finish is clean and crisp.
3.6 Very tight seal. Pours a burnt orange color. Very cloudy. Pours with a very nice thick, very pillowy head. Dust colored head. About two fingers. Excellent head retention, good lacing. Very, very pretty. Aroma is balanced between citrus and pine. There’s some grapefruit, some orange zest. There’s some malty sweetness, a little bread crust. Taste is like light IPA. A session IPA, yup. Pretty decent hop bitterness, but not overly bitter. Lots of citrus, orange zest, grapefruit, and lime. Yeah, the lime is a little different for IPAs. But, it’s clearly lime. A little hops resin on the finish, no, actually a lot. It lingers a bit. It makes the beer seem more bitter than it really is. Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Not so much watery though. It’s a little gritty, it’s not clean. The grit, plus the dryness of the beer makes it interesting to drink. Overall, it’s not bad. The aroma was pretty interesting to start, but it leveled off some. This could be the most beautiful beer, or at least IPA, I’ve ever seen. But it’s lacking in body and taste a little. It’s good, it’s not my favorite. Yes, I would recommend trying it, and I’d probably buy it again.
3.6 Bottle - Pours medium amber-orange, foamy white head. Big whiff of citrus and pine, hay. Taste of grapefruit, orange, orange peel, pine, sour dough, malt, with a bitter hops end. I must have gotten this fresh, because it had a nice foam and was a good bitter smack of hops (crisp). C’est bon.
3.2 Bottle at Huck’s place in Columbus, ms pours golden with a quick flash of a white head that leaves absolutely no trace. Slight pine and resin profile. Ample bitterness. Medium body with a quick but dry finish.
3.4 Pours a hazy orange-amber color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of earthy hops, citrus and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short citrusy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
2.7 Not sure of the age of this beer so maybe better then my rate. Pour is light Amber with medium white head. Aroma is weak but has a little citrus. Dry and a little tart witch I like but odd for a ipa. Would like to try again.
3.5 Hoppy aroma with notes of citrus and sweeter fruits at the end. Pours a luminous cloudy orange that is very attractive and photogenic. Taste begins with strong hoppy bitterness. Citric hops and orange balance the malts very well. The absence of grassy hops makes the flavor stand out. The finish is strongly fruity. Medium fizz and medium body. A very good IPA variation, perfect for a hot day.
2.6 Bottle - Lots of bubbles was the first thing I noticed on this beer. Light flora and citrus notes on the nose. Not a strong bitterness on the palate. Lots of citrus tastes going on here. Because of all the bubble it almost has the mouth feel of champagne, light, playful as you swirl it around.
3.4 Bottled. Hazy orange nice thick head. Has a nice plate with a orange zest and tangerine taste. Decent ipa.
3.3 12 oz. bottle dated best by 8/11/16 into a pilsner glass. A: Dark, mostly clear gold color with a small quick head, busy bubbles and patchy lacing. S: Nice sweet orange/tangerine scent. A faint bit of caramel. T: Not sweet! Very crisp tart flavor of some cross between citrus and evergreen. Seems distinctive and tastes pretty good though even if it is a bit thin. M: Thin body even for 5.5%. Average carbonation with a sour/bitter finish. Slight resin. O: This is different in a good way. I like milder IPAs so the ABV is agreeable and the bitter/sour hop note seems distinctive if a little odd. I’d buy it again.
3.9 I really like this. It has a nice, bitter aroma with a strong citrus note. Bitterness tries to fill the mouth but the grapefruit puts it in its place. Leaves a nice tingle on the gums.
3.7 12 oz Bottle from the AOPD Monthly beers The IPA poured a clear light amber with a small off white head. The Head dissipated slowly with some lacing. The aroma of grapefruit rind greets you. The taste was more complex and quite good. The ale had a medium body with citrus hop bitterness as the dominate flavor. The carbonation was average and worked with the overall texture of this ale. On a mission trip eight years ago I was able to enjoy the beers from this brewery in Beloxi. This ale has a nice smooth finish with citrus bitterness on the tongue.
3.1 12 oz bottle. Pours a nice hazy amber with an orange tint. Aroma is pleasant with tropical fruits. Rather piney taste up front, with notes of mango, and a decently bitter finish. Good IPA for the lower alcohol at 5.5%.
3.1 Amber pour. Light on flavor, semi bitter. Review from memory. Standard run of the mill IPA, mixes into a crowd.
3.3 Mais citrica do que aromatica, com toque de maracuja. Amargor persistente e um pouco desbalanceado. Vale experimentar.
3.4 A little better than I expected, based on the lower ABV% and IBU. Seemed hoppier than 60 IBU, and decent quality from the dry-hopping. The balance is what seemed a little off though, thus drags down the rating a few points. Texture and feel could also be a little cleaner, but overall slighty above average for an IPA. The single sample was good...just don’t know if I’d get a 6 of this.
3.7 Fairly assertive grapefruit mango and light melon aroma. Straw gold, less than clear, dregs in bottle, light white head, little lacing. HUGE grapefruit with orange, mango, tropical and citrus flavors, pineapple. A little astringent, otherwise palate is spot on for style. Overall a fine ’local’ IPA. Sad it took me this long to try this one.
3.2 6 oz pour from refrigerated bottle into sniffer glass. Hazy, orange, decent fizzy off-white head. Nose is malts and citrus, orange and pineapple. Body is thin and crisp. Taste is bitter, orange, pineapple, lime, maybe a hint of mango. Not bad.
3.6 Pours a nice light golden color with off white head. Aroma is piney with tart sappy citrus texture. Flavor has a sweet and sour muscadine vibe with a pleasing toasty caramel finish.
3.7 The aroma is juicy, tropical and bright with some notes of mango, pineapple and a touch of peach. Interesting and nice.In the taste I get more of a bitter, resiny, citrus rind flavor to it. A little of the juicy, tropical fruit flavors come out but they seem to clash a little with the bitter citrus rind flavors. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with carbonation being moderate. Overall it was a pretty good beer, the different hop flavors just didn’t seem to come together as well in the taste as they did in the aroma.
3.7 Clear, golden pour with a rocky, white head. The aroma is very fruity with notes of mango and orange peel. It has a medium body with oily texture and average carbonation. The taste is bittersweet with more bitterness in the finish.
3.0 Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a hazy gold with a thin white head, aroma us of light hops, kind of stale as I realized this was bottled over 2 months ago now, flavor has a hoppy front end but has kind of a skunk flavor too. Maybe would be solid if fresh, but just doesn’t quite do it.
3.3 A bit old and tired. Slight oxidation characters showing thru. Solid beer underneath but shame it’s a but old
2.8 Huge rocky/fluffy head. The colour is lightly golden and a bit cloudy. The nose is lightly citrusy and a little bit fruity. There’s a little bit of light fruit. There’s some nice earthiness and a touch of flint. Some definite tartness in here - a bit of very light lactic tartness. Meh. I think this might have been good once bit it’s a bit clashy now.
4.0 Bottle poured a clear orange amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of biscuit, orange zest, lemon zest, pink grapefruit, peach and tropical fruit. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, peach, orange zest and pink grapefruit with a smooth dry bitter lingering citrus finish.
3.2 IPA 甘酸っぱい、梅酒っぽい
3.6 first taste is hopps and more hopps. light malt backbone to balance it off. slightly piney. pours cloudy orange in color with a thick tan head. had out of a bottle at home.
3.2 Bottle. Pours golden with a huge off-white head. Smells of sweet citrus hops. Tastes of citrus, but very thin.
3.7 [Tap] Dull orange pour with about a half inch of white head on top. Tropical fruits, pineapple, citrus zest and resin in the aroma. Flavors of herbal hops, pine sap, grapefruit, mango and lemongrass. Mild caramel and biscuit malts in the background. Nice balance. Firmly bitter finish. I was pleasantly surprised by this beer.
3.4 Amber pour with an off-white head. Aroma is fruity hops, citrusy. Taste is citrus hops, little fruity. Dry. Pine aftertaste. Nice lacing.
