This beer is a celebration of the mighty West Coast hop, grown east of the Cascade mountains. Multiple varieties are used in this ale, at several different points in the brewing process. With emphasis on late hop & dry hop additions, we serve up tropical fruit and citrus flavours & aromas on a bed of pale and Munich malt.

4.2 Got in a BIF from TheDoctor. 22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/9/2018. Pours slightly hazy medium golden/amber color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of rapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and slightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is a fantastic IPA. All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink will the modestly bitter/drying finish, not aggressive. Feels like Centennial, Amarillo, and Simcoe. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; great bready malt backbone, mild residual sweetness with lingering bitter dryness. A highly enjoyable offering. Loved the classic west coast hop profile.
4.3 Bottle from Chez Ben. Slightly hazy medium amber with a small lingering white head that leaves tight lace. Nose is bright citrus and tropical fruit with some resin on top of a light bready background. Light sweet caramel with a medium grapefruit and lemon peel bitterness, but also highlighting mango and passion fruit along with some floral notes that become more prominent as it warms. Mouth is medium slick with slightly soft carbonation and a quite dry finish. Very well balanced and does not present as bitter as you would expect at 75 IBU. 9/8+/4/4/18-
3.0 Nice ipa, WR, west coast but not too bitter, fruity cascade aroma
4.0 0,66l bottle. Pours amber with small white head. Pine, resin, citrus. Nothing surprising, but more than the sum of its parts. Quality from start to finish.
4.2 A great beer to celebrate the return of the sun on this beautiful sunny sling day. Sweeter than acidic, a bit more on the orange side than citrus, which I like.
4.3 Bouteille 660 ml.
3.7 Bottled. Clea rbody, small white head. The aroma is sweet and the taste is a perfectly balanced grapefruit hoppy with a great finish.
3.8 650 ml bottle from St Jovite Metro. Pours a clear golden orange colour with large white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is piney hops with citrus and grains. Flavour is resiny pine, grapefruit zest and grains. Fine carbonation. Nice.
3.9 Bottle. Hoppy aroma, mostly piney and dank. There's a hint of citrus peel as well. Taste is nice and bitter, quite standard for a well made west coast IPA. There's grassy hops, there's grapefruit and tropical fruits. Bitter finish, this is an example of a good old school IPA.
3.4 Cloudy gold,small white head.Very vague dms in nose/palate.Lemony hops,light malt nose.Soft carbonation,soft malt, citrus/bitter hops (old bottle)
Chouette chouette !
3.7 Pours light hazy apricot. Nose is pine and resin, wood. Tastes like resin, pine, citrus, butter. Not bad
3.6 Courtesy of Sergey Cloudy bright golden color, fluffy peaks. Aroma of armpit, hop bag, a bit funky. The mouthfeel is one of the dryest in an IPA that I can remember; the malt has some bread and cereals tone, the bitterness is strong, the hopping is resiny, lightly funky. Not very fresh, but very good.
4.0 650ml bottle (thx, JC!) bottled 2017-05-17 shared at Alex’s. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. First nose is tropical fruits, after - bready and malty. Taste is tropical fruits bitterness, resiny and piney. Very good.
3.6 Hazy, dull tan, medium head. The aroma is orange, grapefruit...just nice bright citrusy hops. Bitter, orange rind, touch of grapefruit, with an indistinct pale malt.
3.8 From bottle, tried at Mont Royal, Montreal. Large, white head, orange/golden colour, hazy. Aroma: citrus, grapefruit peel, pine, spruce. Bitter taste, full body, long finish, lively. Pretty good!
3.8 Purchased May 2017 in Quebec. Drunk June in U.K. Light lingering creamy head. Orange, slightly opaque. Fantastic aroma: pineapple passion fruit. Sweet and full bodied. Well balanced hop profile. Very good and easily drinkable
4.0 660ml bottle. Hazy gold, creamy white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, peach. Taste is tropical fruit, peach, citrus, caramel, pine notes. A really nice IPA.
3.8 Pours golden with a white head. Earthy floral hop aroma and taste with some tropical fruit notes. Light bodied, a bit of an earthy bite. Notes: Bottle from Montreal trip (Dec ’16), opened Apr ’17.
4.3 Bottled at Ottawa gathering. Cloudy deep golden, mid sized head. Dank lychee and grapefruit aroma. Dryish with solid body and crisp, rounded mouthfeel. Pink grapefruit and lychee dominates. Crisp bready malt. Really bitter finish. The crisp dryness makes it super drinkable. Edgeless, hoppy and absolutely beautiful. One of the best IPAs anywhere.
3.7 A hazed golden ipa with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops and grapefruit pulp, nice and resinous. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with loads of citrusy resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light tropical fruits, light mineral notes, nice and smooth. Bottle tasted with GRM and Omhper, March 2017.
