Lefebvre Blanche de Bruxelles

Lefebvre Blanche de Bruxelles

Bottle conditioned.

Also sold as Blanche de Quenast in Dia/Ed supermarkets, as Floreffe Wit for Floreffe Abbey, as Mediterranea for the Italian market, as Blanche de Francorchamps, as t Geheim van de Smit, as Manneken Pis, and as L’Alsacienne Blanche de l’Eté.

Ingredients: Malted barley; wheat (40%); coriander; bitter orange peel; sugar; hops; yeast.

Blanche de Bruxelles owes its natural cloudiness to the large percentage (40 %) of wheat that goes into its composition. The natural spice aromas of coriander and bitter orange peels are added during the brewing process. The brewing method, which includes infusion, is very slow. The beer, which is not filtered, is bottled and refermented with yeast and brewing sugar. You need only take a sip of this delicious drink to appreciate the fresh and mellow flavour with its hint of orange. It is really not like any other beer. Always served chiled, between 3°C and 6°C.

3.7 Hazy yellow with a small head.As you would expect wheat fdlavours dominate. Pretty predictable and fairly average. Not unpleasant but not one that will stick in mind. In fact tried it a few days ago and if I hadn't made some notes would have forgot about it already.
3.7 On tap at Hops, Crewe (where it is a regular). Pours a cloudy lemon yellow with a large foamy white head and good lacing. The usual susprects of bananas and bubblegum in the aroma. Spiciness is the first thing which catches the attention of the taste buds. There is lemon juice, contrasting with bananas and pear drops with hints of coriander. A decent witbier. Not a classic but perfect for a sunny afternoon.
3.6 Present for getting job at Dymchurch
3.2 330ml bottle - Pours a hazy yellow colour with a small fine foamy white head. The aroma is light, wheaty, citrus and coriander. A light sweet taste, wheat, citrus and coriander with a light spicy bitter finish.
3.4 330ml bottle. Pale cloudy straw colour with generous white head. Aroma is doughy malts, hay, hint of lemon; decent. Taste is doughy bread, sourness, vague banana notes; its nice but was hoping for more. Light to medium bodied, fairly smooth with a nice soft carbonation; good.
3.2 75cl bottle at home from online store but can find this one also in stores here. Pours pale opaque yellow, bit like a clear lemonade with big frothy white head but quickly disappearing. Aroma is moderate of wheat, some citrus and light spices. Taste is moderate sweet with some sourish notes going on, lots of citrus, wheat, hay, yeast, orange and orange peel and spices. Quite easy to drink and pleasant. Fruity enough in the finish and not too sweet which is nice, i like the finish. Easy drinking just slightly over carbonated maybe, but it's alright. Smooth and a bit watery but fizzy texture, moderate body. Could be a bit more flavoured for me. It's pretty ok.
3.0 Nice white beer with sour notes
3.2 Robe blanche trouble , fine mousse . Fines bulles , peu nombreuses. Nez pamplemousse , citron . Levures , épices. Bouche prononcé sur l orange , le citron , les épices en fin de bouche . Amertume faible . Final sucré . Aqueuse.

2.4 Bottiglia da 0,33. Schiuma adeguata ma poco persistente. Colore giallo opaco. Carbonatura eccessiva. Aromi erbacei e di agrumi. Gusto aggressivo ed agro. Finale intenso e lungo. Witte di media qualità. Consiglio 3/10

2.8 Decent enough, wheat slight banana taste

3.1 Bottle from Mozzas, Inverurie.it pours ever so lightly hazy pale yellow with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, doughy white bread, hay, touch of grass, cheap salted cracker and ritz biscuits. The taste is soft, quite smooth, cracker, ritz, sweet foamy banana, green banana, slightly chalky and cheap white bread. Average body and fine, prickly carbonation. Not a whole lot to, but it's drinkable enough. Inoffensive stuff.
3.1 Bottle at Gulating Pub Bodø. Pours a hazy yellow colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of phenols, banana, cloves and wet hay. Flavour of vinegums, lemon, dry hay and cloves. Has a slick mouth feel, light body and a light bitterness. Sweet and easy-drinking. Decent enough.
3.1 Blanche classique
3.3 Butelka. Mętne o blado żółtym kolorze. Piana biała, średnia, opadła szybko. Sporo cytrusów, skórka z limonki, trochę kandyzowanej skórki pomarańczowej, ziarno, trawa i trochę ziół, w tle delikatne nuty bananowe drożdze. Wysycenie raczej małe.

3.6 Draft @ 't Kantoor, Alkmaar. Cloudy golden yellow, creamy white head. Refreshingly fruity with lemon and orange, lightly grainy and creamy. Light bodied, lively carbonation.
3.0 Pours hazy golden with a full, white head. Aroma is banana and Belgian yeast. Taste is thin caramel, moving light lemon and banana. Finish is banana and Belgian yeast. Decent wit.
3.1 Bottle from Morrison's Camden. Very pale, hazy amber with a medium white foam head which dissipatees to thin after a moment or two. Nose is dry, gunpowder, lightly floral, touch of lemon. Taste is a bit thinner than I was expecting. Slight lemon citrus bite, lemon peel, floral, creamy wheaty cereal, Special K, touch of clove, touch of orange peel on the finish.
3.3 Bottle as Father’s Day. Light yellow colour with a thick white head. Aroma yeasty and citrus. Slight dry taste. With a smooth body.
