Leffe Royale Mapuche

Leffe Royale Mapuche

5.0 Mapuche! What to say about this one. Incredible what Inbev calls his beers, almost as incredible as Ratebeer that got fucked by them.
3.7 33cl bottle, poured into a Leffe badged chalice at home two days before its BBD of 3rd June 2017. Bright amber, clear and clean: white head started thin and soon fell away to a wispy covering and a collar. Floral, perfumed aroma; the taste sharp and crisp with a hop bitterness. Strange honey like sweetness seeps into the mouth mid-sip, must be from the malts? First time I have come across this hop variety (knowingly), like it.
3.4 Fles gedeeld met familie. Roodachtig, licht troebel bier. Weinig aroma. Smaak is fruitig en ietsje hoppig. Nasmaak is bitter. Goede boddy.
Golden color with a white head. Aroma is malt, apple, hop. Flavor is malt, apple, hop, sugar, dried fruits, flowers, grass. Medium body. OK beer.
3.0 Wypite dawno temu, ocena przepisana w ramach uzupelnienia profilu na ratebeer
3.0 330mL bottle from International Beer Collector. BB 26/03/17 Deep golden body, clear, decent size fluffy white head. I’ll admit it - I’ve never heard of Mapuche hops; not even sure how to pronounce it - Maa-poo-chee? Me-puh-che? Anyway - sort of honeyed malt on the body, as with the other Royales, touch of old apricot, ripe nectarine, bit of cut herb & earthy spice. Decent mouthfeel to it, doesn’t feel like a 7%er - kind of not the idea choice for a start of evening beer; better keep it low key - creamy kind of carbonation. Hops don’t particularly shine through on the palate, but its nice enough - honeyed malt again, bit of chewy bread crust in there, more ripe stonefruits, finishes quite floral, slightly metallic bitterness, lingering spicy phenolics. Preferred this to the other Royales do date; wouldn’t call the hop character prominent, but there’s a complementary flavour in there.
3.2 Alone at home. Goldblond colored beer with large diminishing white head and medium carbonation. Hopped spicy aroma. Medium sparkling palate. Finish is sweet hopped spicy.
3.1 330ml bottle. Clear sunset orange with small white head. Aromas of orange marmalade, caramel, grass and some belgian yeast notes. The taste has marmalade on toast, nectarine and a light grassy character. Fairly light bodied with moderate carbonation. Solid but somewhat one dimensional.
4.0 Bottle from Match, Grevenmacher, Luxembourg! Pours hazy amber colored with a high white head. Aroma has lots of peach and tropical fruit. Taste has sweet peach, mango and grapefruit. Very sweet fruity finish. Best one from the Leffe Royale series so far!!!
3.1 Clear, golden beer with small head. Aroma has flowers, fruits (apricot), malts and some honey. Taste has mats, fruits (apricot and peach), flowers and some dry bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Quite ok, nothing special, but I have some weird love on Leffe beers.
2.3 Aus der Flasche getrunken (mitgebracht aus Brüssel). Klares Altgold mit extremer Schaumkrone. Etwas eigenartiges Aroma in der Nase. Harzig-moosig im Geschmack. Im Nachtrunk wässrig. Enttäuschend!
2.9 The beer has got a clear amber colour with a small head and medium body. Aroma of malt and bread. Taste of malt, Belgian yeast, bread, flowers and fruits. Sweet yeasty finish.
3.0 330 ml bottle. Clear golden body with a medium sized, dense off-white head. Aroma has malt, some dry fruit and hint of flowers. Flavor is sweet malt, some dry fruit, grassy bitterness and harsh alcohol. Medium body and aftertaste. Drinkable but not very elegant actually, feels a bit raw and unbalanced without complexity.
3.6 330ml bottle in a Leffe chalice glass. Fruity aroma of fruits, Golden color, Slight bitter sweet taste, Belgian yeasty, medium body, light-medium carbonation, White head, Nice beer!
3.3 Ran into this one on the beer menu of restaurant het Pakhuisin Groningen and gave it a try. Not too bad. Sweet amd a nice palate, could have been worse
3.3 From belgiuinabox. In Grimbergem glass. Playing Blackwell Epiphany. I find it drier than the other leffe royales and with a slight metallic touch. Not bad but I prefer the crystal version much more, and even the standard leffe blonde
3.2 Bottle. Frothy White good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy and light yeasty aroma. Slightly perfumed. Light bitter flavor. Average light bitter slightly metallic finish. Oily palate.
2.7 Bottle at home. Aroma is floral, malt, herbs and spices, perfume, air freshener, candy, hint of hops and a touch of fruits. Flavour is above moderate sweet with some lingering bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. Not good but not bad either, at least it’s better than the other Royale varieties I’ve tasted.
2.7 Clear but fairly deep orange. Dense little head. Aroma is fresh and herbal. Taste has an odd sweetness to it.
2.6 At a tasting, thanks, smallish head, clear deepish orange color, candy, biscuity, pungent yeast aroma, biscuity, fruity, candy flavor with a nutty hint, light bitterness. Not that good.
3.3 Bottle copper colour with small head.Aroma is fruity of peach and malty, lively mouth feels and even sweet with some nots of herbs and caramel.I must say I do like most of the Leffe beers and even this is ok.
2.5 Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Yoav. Clear deep golden. Aroma of cardboard, fruitiness, candy, honey. Sweetish flavor with malt, fruitiness, candy, and a slightly bitterish finish.
3.0 Bottle @ home shared with Thompson. Clear golden color, average sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly sweet, slightly hops, sweetish maltiness again, perhaps a slight bitter hint as well in the finish somewhere. Average body, average to decent carbonation. Mwah, not great.
2.9 Bottle @ benzai and shared by benzai... Small white head... Clear amber colour... Smell hops malts some yeast.. Taste lots of yeast and hops not bad but nothing 2 special...
Carbonnation moyenne. Trouvée à la brasserie Vanuxeem - Ploegstaert.
