Left Hand Good Juju Ginger

Left Hand Good Juju Ginger

Ingredients: Water; Malted barley; Ginger root; Hops; Yeast.

Our beer is basically a pale ale brewed from a relative low gravity, with some of the hops which would normally be used in the beer replaced by freshly ground ginger root. The beer is light in body, lower in alcohol, has a distinct ginger aroma, and has a very crisp finish. It was initially brewed as a refreshing alternative to the plethora of wheat beers which are popular in the summertime. Popular demand turned it into a year round beer.

3.4 12 ounce can at home . Big white, fluffy head. No lace on glass. Golden in color. Smell the ginger, somewhat smell like lemon also. Taste the ginger. Pretty smooth with no after bite. Pretty unique brew. Pretty good beer.
3.6 Bottle: Poured a golden with white bubbles. Nice ginger aroma. Taste ginger root.
2.6 I got a case for 12.99 so considering that it was all right. Had a lot of trouble drinking a few in a row.
3.2 12 oz bottle from Beer52.com. An amber pour with a fast fading white head; beery ginger aroma; an immediate ginger hit in the mouth, but much softer than expected; then a warming root ginger prickle, leading to a rather thin finish. Clean, refreshing and well balanced. Much better than most ginger beers.
2.6 Bottle - Pours medium amber with thin head. Aroma of fermented breads and ginger. The flavors are same, but additionally floral notes, definitely ginger... with a dry hops finish.
2.7 Aroma of ginger beer and ginger, pours a hazy Amber color with light carbonation and not much head. Watery body with a a ginger beer taste and a light ginger finish.
3.0 Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from One Stop Market. Appearance is clear light amber with tiny sparkle, 1/2 finger width fizzy head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong ginger over mildly malty base. Taste is as aroma--can’t really make out too much other than the ginger. Palate is light bodied with lively carbonation and ginger finish. Overall, a straightforward experience. No nuance but if you want an alcoholic subtler version of a ginger ale, this is for you.
2.5 Pours copper with a thin head. Aroma is full of ginger. The flavour is far too sweet but some nice ginger notes in it. Not a good beer tbh.
2.8 Poured from bottle...really not that bad...ginger is minimal...drank with szechuan food...paired well
1.6 3/20 ginger and beer. Doesn't work at all. Had a couple of sips then put it down the drain.
2.7 Bottle from Beer52. Golden-amber, no head, prickly fizz. Smells of ginger powder and plastic. Tastes better than it smells- more dry ginger powder, a little lemon. Sweetish, maybe a little watery and lager-y though. Grew on me as I drank more, but maybe not enough.
3.0 a little on the weaker side - watery body. Fruit and ginger on the nose and especially the flavor where there’s not a whole lot else going on. OK.
3.9 Lots of ginger on nose and on the tongue. A nice spice beer. Clean crisp and very herbal.
3.5 Bottle from LaBodega, clear Amber beer, nice white head. Aroma is ginger. apples, malt. Taste is lemon, malt, ginger, grapefruit. Palate is light, carbonation moderate. This is good, but kinda watery.
2.5 Frisch vom Hahn im Hopfenreich. Es ist wirklich gingerbetont. Ansonsten wenig aufregend.
2.7 Tap at whole Foods Bedford Deep golden bordering on amber. Huge ginger on the nose with some faint sweet bready caramel maltiness underneath. Very herbal and a bit distracting imho. Reminds me of a cough drop, not a fan.
4.0 This was poured into a nonic. The appearance was a glossy to hazy burnt off orange to bent amber color. Some transparency. Light carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Filmy little bit of a white head. The smell had the spicy ginger root up front. Sly little bit of citrus hops. Nicely "carrying" sweet caramel to toffee malt backing up to rye aroma nicely. The flavor takes all of the aromas to blend at a nice pace. Rides all together on into the aftertaste and a semi-quick finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. Fairly decent sessionability about it. Overall, as a "ginger" beer, I see nothing wrong with it. Me, I’d definitely come back to this. Great stuff
3.2 Dark Amber thin rimming white head; aroma is ginger sine sweet malty notes ; flava is ginger with malt graininess; feels light slight fizz; finishes dry malty with notes of ginger throughout.
2.9 Draught at DC Gotanda. Very light ginger notes, minimal sweet malt base, fairly watery on the palate... Unnecessary import really...
2.8 Bottle. Pours a beautiful looking translucent bronze color with a small white head that soon fades to a fine ring. The aroma features dried ginger, as opposed to fresh ginger, and there is a touch of musty earthiness. The taste featured the same dried ginger as detected in the nose, and there is a touch of cooked vegetables. The malt base was thin and weak, The finish short and dry. Overall: meh
3.3 Draft at Bru Craft. Clear golden orange with strawberry highlights. Soapy white foam. Not much lace. Reasonably strong ginger but not overpowering. Well balanced with medium caramel malts. Juicy but watery body. Hints of peach, lemongrass, straw and duck sauce. Not that complex but not as awful as other reviews here might suggest.
2.5 Pours a clear deep golden with little head and disappears quickly.....aroma is ginger spice, pine.......taste is perfume, ginger, falls off quickly, thin mouthfeel. Good idea, badly executed.
2.7 Pours medium amber light head. Aromas big bad ginger (Love the smell), slight maltiness behind it , not much else. Flavors are kinda weird, as the ginger is mingled with grass/hay, and comes off as a spicy herbal. Lightly sweet bland finish. Watery feel. I little herbal bitter aftertaste.
3.4 12 oz bottle with a 15 Oct. 2016 BB date on the neck. Look Clear orange-copper body with a small, short-lived head and minimal lacing.. Aroma: A nice mix of bready malts and ginger (of course). Flavor mildly bitter; moderately strong ginger comes across as being of a good strength although it does dominated the malts. Feel: Lighter side of medium with lightly prickly carbonation. Overall: Like pale beers and ginger ale? .. does a ginger malt beverage sound appealing? If so, you’re likely to like this. I did and found it quite refreshing on a warm day.
2.9 Bottle. Ginger aroma. Ginger flavor overwhelms. Effervescent mouthfeel. Refreshing but not very complex.
3.6 Aroma: ginger, bread, Appearance: golden with a white head Taste: light sweetness, lightly bitter, Palate: light body, oily feel, average carbonation, abrupt finish good ginger ale
1.9 I poured it from the bottle into a pint glass. It pours a brownish amber with almost no head and no lacing. The aroma is ginger. The taste is ginger, bread, and a little salty. It’s thin, carbonated, and a little bland. I wouldn’t get this again.
2.9 Bottle shared at Leighton’s place 14/04/2016. From Beer hawk. Bright golden orange coloured pour with a a loose off white head. Aroma is kinda soapy floral ginger, lavender, hint of seaweed. Flavour is composed of light grains, thin, a little soapy, seaweed, ginger. Palate is thin and light, highish carbonation, semi drying finish. Meh.
3.1 33cl bottle shared at the mid-April tasting @Leighton’s. Many thanks to Fergus for this one. It pours a clean golden colour woth a small white head. Aroma is sweet and full of ginger. Taste is also sweet and full of ginger with some honey melon notes too. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, ok
3.1 Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Fergus. Pours crystal clear orange-gold with a foamy, white head. Spicy ginger in the nose, herbal tea, bread. Medium sweet flavour with sturdy ginger, some ripe apples, bread. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Spicy ginger finish, some sugary bread, ripened apples. So so.
