Left Hand Hard Wired Nitro Coffee Porter

Left Hand Hard Wired Nitro Coffee Porter

SUPER SMOOTH WITH CHOCOLATE MALT, COFFEE AND TOFFEE NOTES. Innately predisposed to be smooth when Poured Hard, this nitro coffee porter builds a pillowy, toffee-sweet head. Coffee and flavors of caramelized sugar, cacao and hints of blueberry lead to a light, smoky finish.

3.9 From a tall can purchased in the Greater Vancouver area. A black beer with a moderate beige head. Nose of coffee and cocoa. Soft and creamy on the palate, as expected, seeing it's nitrogenated. Nice.
3.5 Nitro smooth, fine bubbles in foam. Thick mouth feel. coffee flavor and some gritty roasted malt
3.9 On tap at the Archives, Burlington, VT. Pours a huge very thick creamy tan head and has a dark brown appearance. Thick dirty sticky lacing. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of vanilla, coffee, sweet malt. Flavours of chocolate, coffee, vanilla beans, some lactose notes. Smooth, slick and creamy mouthfeel. Good stuff!
3.4 Canned from K&B. Smooth nitro mouthfeel. Lightly sweet and roasty. Some nice roasted coffee notes. Full flavored coffee porter. Good porter for kicking back with.
4.4 Super smooth. Very sweet and chocolately
4.0 Light roast coffee aroma. It's unfair to rate a nitro beer's appearance, they're all 5's. Roasty coffee flavors compliment the porter style. A little on the sweet side. Palate is also impeccable on nitros. I recommend.
3.4 Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall tan head that shows the nitrogen (smooth head with no movement at all). Naturally, the aroma is very well muted given the nitrogen with some vanilla, lactose, coffee and roasted malt noticeable, but little else, including earth and a dose of raisins, but the nitrogen takes away the scents dramatically. Medium-bodied; Smooth profile with the nitrogen taking shape and the lactose and cream coming out first with a dose of roasted malt, earth, mushrooms, hay, nuts and coffee towards the end along with a touch of caramelised sugars and a dose of vanilla towards the end that shows some good flavours if not a bit muted from the nitrogen here. Aftertaste shows the nuts, earth, raisins, figs, caramelised sugars, lactose, vanilla and especially the coffee notes (although more from a cracked bean instead of a brewed variety or even ground) and ending with a subdued cream and earthiness at the very end. Overall, a decent and flavourful beer, especially for the carbonation component (nitrogen) and the canned variety - but the coffee flavours were noticeable and enjoyable, if not too exciting throughout. I sampled this 13,65 ounce can (smaller given the nitrogen pack in the aluminum) purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 15-January-2019 for US$2,99 sampled at home in Washington on 02-April-2019.
3.6 Coffee and malt aroma with some cocoa. Malt, chocolate and coffee taste in a full body. Long full finish.
3.5 Good, but not strong enough of a porter to stand up to the taste-dulling nitrogenation. Coffee notes are prominent--comes across as more of a nitro coffee than a nitro porter--with mild cocoa and roast with a slight green pepper bite in the finish. Very easy to drink, but on the mild side; can't help but think proper carbonation would suit this pint much better.
3.8 Ar: Coffee, with chocolate, cherry, and ash accents; rounded malt and black licorice. Ap: Dark brown and opaque; large nitro head with excellent retention and excellent creme texture. T: Rounded, smooth coffee; cocoa and a light sweetness; black licorice and a touch of char; bitterness is very low; a hint of ash and more smooth coffee on the finish. P: Light body with soft, typical nitro carbonation; finish is dry. O: A good candidate for nitro; a smooth, well-made porter with a rounded coffee profile.
3.8 On tap at 10 Railroad St. in Morrisville,. VT. Opaque, near black with a fine, creamy khaki head and incredible lacing. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt and chocolate. Taste of coffee, milk chocolate and roasted malt. Medium body and low carbonation.
3.5 Pint at Winking Lizard Macedonia Ohio. Smell malt. Dark brown in color with a very light tan head. Taste the malt with a slight taste of coffee. Very creamy. Medium body. Coffee after taste. Very drinkable and smooth. Nice beer. Cheers!
3.5 A nice nitro stout. Not too strong. Could use a little higher alcohol content.
4.0 12oz bottle. Pours almost black with a one finger creamy tan cap. On the nose, dark roast coffee, cocoa, caramel, roasty malts. Taste wise, dark coffee with roasty malt notes, light caramel, and molasses that heads into slightly sweeter dark malt/coffee heavier notes with light bitterness in the finish. VERY easy drinking. This would be a "go to" for me if I lived in the States.
3.7 Bottle from Whole Foods PM. Pours hazy black with white head. Nose is roasty dark malt, coffee, chocolate. Tastes super smooth, with dark malt, caramel, cold pressed coffee, chocolate, and a smooth finish. Delicious!
3.6 12 oz bottle. Pours black with full, foamy tan head. Aromas of wet freshly ground coffee. Flavors of creamy cappucinno (heavy on fresh ground) coffee, roasted malts and plastic.
3.7 Pours black with nearly non-existent head. Heavy chocolate, heavy roast and light caramel aroma. Taste is dark chocolate with some earthy notes, moving a strong coffee and roast flavor. Finish is smooth cocoa. A tasty porter.
3.4 Draft at The Beer Cellar in Glen Ellyn, IL. dispensed to a snifter displaying a black/brown hue, a cascading show that resulted in a silky, inch layer of froth, with wavy, curtain-like, ultra persistent cling to the lacing. The nose was dominated by rich & roasted espresso notes, with touches of cocoa, and malt sweetness. The taste was somewhat similar, but much less expressive, including modest roasted & earthy bitterness, and nitro effervescence that was probably good for the first couple sips before it diminished to nil. Less than medium bodied, the texture thinned, and showed some watery nature. Quite drinkable, but that might even become tedious without any fizz.
3.7 bottle, rated around Jan 2017 - Near black pour with a thick, tan, nitro head. It smells of roast malt, coffee, and chocolate. The assertive flavor is similar. It's also well balanced and smooth, an enjoyable brew.
3.5 bottle. near black with nitro head. chocolate malt with plenty of coffee. smooth, but thin. it's pretty good, but i'm not sure they're doing themselves any favors by putting this stuff on nitro.
3.6 Tap. Very dark brown with big beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, coffee and a little liquorice. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, coffee, medium sweet, little liquorice and medium bitter.
3.3 Aus der Flasche im 2016-10 getrunken. Super süffig und sehr lecker, aber auch wenig komplex. Verdammt gute Trinkstoff!
3.4 From tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is coffee and roasted malty. Bitter, dark malty and herbal. Dry, bitter and roasted malty. Dry, herbal. Densehoppy and roasted dark malty. Bitter and herbal finish.
3.8 Bottle picked up locally from notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a medium sized khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, dark fruit, earthy bitterness, good mouthfeel, good beer.
3.6 Dark brown/black color; Medium creamy body; Aroma of toasted malt, rich coffee, cocoa, & some vanilla; Flavor of slight roasted sweet malt, caramel, coffee, milk chocolate, and cocoa; Finish is slightly bitter; Not the biggest nitro fan - but this was pretty decent.
3.9 On tap at Colorado Plus poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, bakers cocoa and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of coffee, roasted malt and bakers cocoa with a smooth dry lingering coffee finish.
4.2 This bottled brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were very long lasting and left behind no visible carbonation opaque dark black brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The nice aroma was black malt coffee and dark malt. The smooth mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow mild roasted malt aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of black malt roasted malt coffee and dark malt. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.
3.4 Creamy and light. Not at all bitter. Smooth head and mouthfeel with subtle coffee tastes. Well-rounded but without much depth of flavour. I appreciate it as a porter you can drink several of. Super easy drinking.
3.7 black color; nice coffee aroma; nice smooth, roasted malt and coffee flavor with chocolate notes
3.8 On Tap at Elizabeth Station Clear deep brown with redish edges. Full thick dense tan nitro head. Light chocolate malt aromas. Some coffee and a smooth creamy body. Very tasty
