3.1 Pours a hazy gold with minimal white head. Aroma is your typical wheat malt sweetness. Taste is much the same. Nothing too special here, but certainly not bad. just average!
3.4 Pours hazy yellow with white head, aroma has notes of banana, clove, and some slight fruity esters, touch of biscuit and bread. Taste is nice with notes of banana, bread, some slight nuttiness as well, with some clove, slight fruit with pears, finishing slightly dry. Pretty full mouthfeel, nice carb level.
2.8 Karaktärstypisk med jästsmak, frukig och frisk. Lite tunn. Amerikanarna har svårt med veteöl.
2.5 Bottle at Cafe Fiasco Hazy golden, no head at all. I want a big fat head on my weissbeers. Light aroma of melon and cloves, some yeast in taste with strawberries and banana Dry ending with some spice that stays for a while.
3.2 My fiance blindly picked this beer out for me from the Gene’s Haufbrau beer menu, and turned out to be a decent blind pick. Classic hefe flavors on display here, meaning bananas and cloves and hay and oompah bands. Too watery, sure, but not a bad attempt at the style, compared to some of the more hideous hefes to which I’ve been submitted. (8/08)
2.5 Cloudy, pale amber with thick white head. Fruity with spicy tones. High carbonation, acidic and citrus. Medium to light body. Bitter finish.
2.9 Pours a medium yellow/golden clear bod… ehrm… make that hazy body, I was a bit too eager when pouring. The white, average sized head quickly reduces to a thin layer with almost no lacing capabilities. The aroma is weak but pleasant: light yeasty with banana and spices. The taste is moderate sweet with hardly any bitterness. Banana and honey flavours. Medium carbonation. Decent brew, but not top notch. [35.5 cl bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Ullevål Stadion, Oslo]
3.3 Bottle 355 ml. Poured hazy golden yellow in colour with thin fast disappearing whitish head. Sweet wheat in aroma mostly and something that could be perhaps described as sour banana. Flavour is filled with spices and sweet wheat mixed with banana. A bit different taste in this hefe-weizen. A bit sweet though.
3.3 A - Pours a clear golden-yellow color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down fairly quickly to a super thin ring around the glass leaving behind only a touch of lacing. S - Aroma is a mix of some fruity (banana) and citrus (orange and lemon) with some supporting spices. Also a bit of wheat aroma mixed in. T - Starts off with a mix of some citrus (lemon) flavor and some background wheat and light spices. Through the middle, some banana flavor and a bit more spices come through. The finish is a mix of banana, spices, and some wheat that lingers nicely. M - Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth and very crisp. The finish could have bee a bit more clean, but still feels fairly refreshing. D - Very drinkable. With the exception of the finish, the flavors are really nicely balanced. The spices especially play a nice supporting role without taking over. Could have used a bit more punch and the finish could have been a bit cleaner.
3.0 Cloudy dark yellow pour with a large fluffy white head. Aroma holds banana, nectar fruit, grain, and a touch of caramel. Flavor is much the same, with more pronounced banana presence and some additional citrus fruit. A little bit more balance with some notes of lemon zest or something like that would be great. Palate is light and crisp. Not bad.
3.1 Hazy straw with a robust white head. The nose holds lost of fruity banana esters, dough, angelfood cake, and nectar fruits. The flavor holds caramel angelfood cake dough with mild banana esters and a crisp nectary finish. Palate is light but crisp.
3.7 Reviewed from notes. Pours a hazy golden yellow color with a nice white head that lasts for awhile at about two fingers. The nose is some light bubblegum, citrus, clove, and a bit of banana. The taste is light wheat and bubblegum plus a bit of spicy clove. Good light body and carbonation. Drinks quite well; a really nice summer beer. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 11-14-2010
3.0 4/8/11. On tap. Ridiculously cloudy orange pour with basically no head. Sour bubblegum aroma with clove and a hint of caramel. Sweet banana flavor with some caramel... a bit watery.
2.7 For an American wheat ale it isn’t too bad. Literally had it at work as i was ending my shift (work in a kitchen).
3.2 Predominately hazy yellow/orange color with a white head with ok retention and lacing. Some large bubbles appear in the head. Some light gold highlights at the bottom. Several small bubbles streaming from the bottom. Quite a bit of sediment floating around. Aromas of orange, banana and lemon. Some spicy notes similiar to coriander. Some wheat notes. Maybe even a bit of green celery. Some pepper. The taste mimicked the aroma in that it provided the fruitiness of the banana, orange and lemon. Some wheat bread flavors follow and the spicy tones bring up the rear. Not much bitterness is detected. Medium/thin mouthfeel. Crisp and refreshing. Smooth and mostly watery. Thirst quenching. Doesn’t coat the palate very well. This beer is ok. Another refresher for Summer. I could probably set a few of these back with ease. It’s nothing outstanding or overly complicated. Fairly solid all the way around. Very similar to other wheat, "Wit" beers, but not quite as spicy.
4.3 Has a really big yeast flavor to it, almost like an supersized Hefeweizen in flavor. A really good German wheat beer.
3.0 0.355l bottle @ Henrik, Bergen. Pours a hazy yellow orange body with NO head what so ever. Nose is hay, wheat, some yeast and quite citrusy. Lively carbonated and light-bodied. Quite wheaty, but there is also a sour note with some tiny sweetness to it. Apple perhaps? It’s a wheat alright, but the body gets a bit to watery near the end for this to be a great wheat. Never the less, a sweet and refreshing beer.
3.1 Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours a yellow, hazy colour with little foam and some yeast residue. Aroma is a little sweet and some yeast is there as well. Taste is sweet and pleasant with a little bitterness. Not being a fan of wheat beer this was a pleasant surprise.
2.6 Tasted early at night with Azlondon 26.12.2010! Bottle 33 cl. Orange, hazy with a small white head. What a fudge, what have I written here, some wheat and hps. Wheat with a bit sour ending.
2.8 Courtesy of Nordcore, thanks! Appearance: Light orange, cloudy. Some white head. Aroma: Lemon, yeast, hops. Wheat. Taste: Hops, yeast and lemon. Info: 355ml bottle, 26/12-2010
2.9 The beer pours a slightly golden orange color with a large white head. The aroma is wheat, flowers, sugar, butter and some honey. The flavor is butter and sugar, along with some wheat, flowery hops and vanilla. Very interesting, but a little bit buttery and too sweet. Medium mouthfeel and high, prickly carbonation. Not sure if this bottle is off or not, but it is not up to Left Hand’s usual standards.
3.1 Bottle. Semi hazy light orange pour. White head. Aroma is clove and banana. Taste is similar plus a heavy dose of yeast. Pretty tasty.
3.9 A wheat beer with a cool logo! I had this with scallops and the beer was much better than the scallops. Had hints of banana which you really could notice and I like this one.
2.6 Pours a light yellow with lingering foam. Tastes sweet with a lemon grass aftertaste, standard American Wheat mixed with hefeweizen yeast.
3.7 Very hazy yellow-orange. Aroma of yeast, wheat and orange. Taste is the same. Relatively low carbonation, very smooth and refreshing.
3.0 Pours hazy amber-orange with very small very shortlived off white head. Aroma of yeast, bananas, citric and hay. Crispy acidy mouthfeel, flavor is sweet and yeasty with some fruit and cereal notes. Very drinkable! Acidy fruity on palate. Finishes slightly hoppy, with fruity acidy aftertaste.
3.2 22.10.2010, 0,33l Bottle. Pale golden yellow colour without head. Very hazy beer. When I opened the bottle it smell of yeast. Aroma is wheaty. Its refreshing and there is a kind of maltsweetness. Not too much bitterness. Very nice beer.
2.8 355ml bottle. Hazy golden body with white head. Aroma of flowers, weat and bananapeel. Taste of weat, banana and hops. Medium bitterness and aftertaste.
2.6 Bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is yeast, wheat acidity, grass, or perhaps hay. Taste pretty much the same, with some spices. I’m not a fan.
3.9 Had this outsidle albanay, NY. Good beer and I would have bought a six pack if i could have found one
