Left Hand Jackmans Pale Ale

Left Hand Jackmans Pale Ale

Jackman’s American Pale Ale is brewed true to the style - medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing, with plenty of hop flavor and hop aroma. It’s noticeable hop bitterness is contrasted by the spicy and floral characteristics of the highest quality hops grown in the U.S.

3.2 On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. This is a light hazy dark copper-ish body with a big and almost everlasting fluffy off-white head. Some fruity tones in the aroma with peaches, strawberries, caramel and snow. Nice. Tastes like tutti-fruity lemonade - without the lemon. Really - almost scary light drinkable. This means that it’s perhaps a bit of lack in the mouthfeel, but that’s all caught back in drinkability. A nice APA. 19.02.2012
3.5 On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. A retired APA from Colorado finds its way to little Bergen to spend its last days? That’s almost cute. :-) Pours a slightly hazy deep golden body with a medium creamy white retention. Nose is pineapple, citrus and hints of pine. Taste is mild citric tones, light malts and hints of strawberry. Creamy mouthfeel. A filling and quite tasty APA. I like it.
3.1 this wasn’t awful, just bad for the price at 9.99 a six. it was really just a platform for the left hand flvor profile that had to be a result of the yeast strain. i can see why the retired it...
2.9 I’m wondering when this beer was retired, being as I had one last night. Average beer at best and little darker and at little more character than a traditional American Pale Ale.
2.4 Aroma - very fruity, floral, somewhat sweet; Appearance - deep golden, fluffy head, laces quite well; Taste - balanced though mild front, fruity back, long finish that’s pretty dry; Palate - extremely crisp, average body; Overall - now I understand why this brew is retired, such a letdown.
3.5 Into the glass pours an amber-colored beer with a fine, long-lasting head. It smells lots of aroma hops, coupled with a slight herbal note. Starts hoppy mild, very aromatic, fruity and subtly sweet. The middle part is hoppy, aromatic, again with an herbal note. Goes into a mild-hoppy finish, with some bitter herbs!
3.2 Bottle @ Gloria, Kuopio. Originally rated on 8.8.2009. Unbalanced pale ale with a sticky and stingy taste.
3.2 4 Oct 2010, bottle. gold, slightly hazy, w/ steady bubbles. really nice malt and hop balance. thin body but in a good way. nice crisp bite at the end. more malt than hops in flavour. very nice! crisp and refreshing.
3.2 Reviewed from notes. Pours a caramel-copper color with a short white head and not too much lacing. The nose brings some citrus and floral hops, more toward the citrus end. Some light caramel and malt. The flavor is a bit toward the malty end of the APA spectrum, though the citrus hops do put a nice touch on the brew. A bit of mild bitterness and a good body. Drinks pretty well overall. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-14-2010
3.3 On tap at Patricks. Deep golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is peaches, hop, malt, fruit, citrus, caramel. Flavour is peaches, hop, malt, fruit, citrus, caramel. Medium body. OK beer.
3.1 The beer pours a nice orange-golden color with a white head. The aroma is wheat and apricots, with a little bit of grass mixed in. The flavor has a light amount of bitterness along with some grassy hops and a little bit of orange citrus. Easy to drink, but maybe a little bit past its prime. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
2.4 Nose of honey and muesli. Appearance is bright amber and the head disappears fairly quickly. The palate bagins a little grainy with a hint of that honey and has a drying hoppy finish. A decent structure but with an unexciting texture. Quite balanced but lacking individual distinction.
3.4 On tap @ Patricks. Almost clear, deep golden body with a diminishing white head. Aroma is smooth fruity with some caramel, not particular strong aroma, but very nice. Flavor is almost like aroma, not very strong but really nice. Soft caramel, fruity, medium sweet and balanced bitter aftertaste. Medium body. A top beer within its style.
3.4 Draught @ Patricks Pub og Restaurant, Kristiansand Pours cloudy amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of caramel, malt and fruity hops. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.
3.2 Draft at Patricks, Kristiansand. Pours hazy amber, small head. Aroma is citrus, floral, hay. Taste is medium bitter, light sweet. Medium body, thin, average carbonation.
2.9 Kinda dry, really a run of the mill APA, not something that’s especially good or great but passable.
3.3 Bottle from dad (cheers) dad, think he picked this up from a pub in Glasgow, November 2010 Pours mid-amber with a filmy white head. This is soft in the mouth and has that fairly typical American sweet pale ale flavour. Soft in mouth, bit of latte, late hoppy bitterness. A6 A3 T7 P4 Ov13 3.3
3.1 Oured yellow with a smallish head. Some bitterness and quite refeshing summer drinking brew.
3.9 Great herbal smell and light caramel pour with off white head. Great pale ale.
3.1 bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear amber colour, large off-white head. Malty, floral hops, hints of caramel.
3.1 On tap@Patricks.Pours copper with a small white head.Aroma is fruity and kinda hoppy with some peach and citrus.Flavor is sweet and malty with some bitterness and biscuit notes.Medium body, average carbonation.Nice fruity beer.
3.1 Bottle, 5.2%. Caramelly and grassy aroma. Hazy yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour starts off quite fruity, a bit of sweet grapefruit, some other, softer fruits. Clean bitterness in the finish, not very strong, though.
3.3 12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small, creamy and dense white head. Aroma is pinewood hoppy. Fruity hoppy, pinewood and bitter. Lingering fruity and bitter to bone dry finish.
3.0 Bottle. pours a clear and copper beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, sweetness, caramel and hops. The flavor follows the nose closely. The palate is sweetness. Overall a good beer.
3.0 Pours amber with a beige head. Aroma is malt, light caramel and light citrus. Flavour is malt, light caramel, citrus and grapefruit.
3.2 Bottle from Oak Tree. Pours amber with a foamy off-white head. Aroma of roast caramel with some possibly piney hop. Med body; foamy carb. Flavor is light citrus/pine over some roasted caramel. APA it is. It’s drinkable, and some florality pops up now and then. If it’s what you’ve got, drink it. It’s fairly tasty, but not worth a great deal of effort to chase down.
3.3 Bottle @ Local Tasting, Nov 2010. Pours clear golden with a small white head and lacings. Citrus, peach and caramel. Medium bodied. Smooth. Dry end.
2.7 Medium everything! Straw color, body, head, hop bitterness. Nothing wrong, just not exciting.
3.8 [355ml bottle, Appellation Wines, Edinburgh] Slightly opaque orange colour on the pour, aromas of citrus hops and pine. Very easy drinking American pale ale, got the moreish piney hop flavour with a rising dry bitterness. Could definitely have a few of these, no question – rivals Sierra Nevada for quality [24102010]
3.4 Pours pale amber with white head and some lacing. Pleasant notes of caramel and spruce. Well balanced taste with a slightly bitter finish. Crisp and sessionable.
