Left Hand Milk Stout

Left Hand Milk Stout

This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800’s. The early brewers touted the health benefits of the milk sugar in this beer which today relates mainly to the increased amount of calories(no real health benefits…sorry). The milk sugar adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an outstanding, year ‘round stout.

4.1 Best milk stout out!
3.7 Pint poured at Steve’s snappin dogs at the Denver airport. Pours almost black with a creamy beige head. I couldn’t pick up much aroma. Tastes creamy and sweet with hints of coffee, malt and sugar. Easy to drink
3.8 Very cool unique milk stout, stands out. Nice and clean and with a hint of maple or something i can’t identify. Backhouse boulder
1.9 Milk stout
3.5 Mustana lasissa jättäen vain vähäisen vaahdon. Tuoksussa on maltaisuutta, savua ja hieman makeutta. Mausta löytyy pientä suklaisuutta ja laktoosin tuomaa pyöreyttä. Maltaisuutta on, mutta loppuosassa on pientä vetisyyttä.
3.3 Bottle from Nassau. Very dark black brown with fine cappuccino head. Rich malty aroma. Pretty smooth with apricot and toast, very drinkable stout if occasionally missing bitterness you might look for in other styles. But merits its popularity I think
4.1 It has a creamy taste of milk chocolate, it is very sweet in the mouth. Very interesting nitro beer
4.4 Pours dark creamy with a taste of milk chocolate, it is very sweet in the mouth.
3.2 # 490; 10/2016. Velmi povedenej stout. Jemný, kávový, s výraznými praženými tóny.
4.1 From a can to a glass. Pours a dark brown/black with hints of ruby around the edges. Aroma is Chocolate, Roasted malts, slight coffee. Taste follows the aroma with notes of earthy hops and some dark fruits in the sip. Medium mouthfeel. Very tasty beer!
3.7 On n’a un goût onctueux de chocolat au lait ,c est tres doux dans la bouche .bien aimer
4.1 The waiter made sure I drank this with the left hand only. Beautiful milk chocolate smooth taste, though unfortunately a little too sweet. Enjoyable just to have one.
3.8 Америка рулит , однозначно вкусно , высоко. , буду смотреть другие сорта этой пивоварни
4.0 Bottle poured into a globe glass. Deep brown with a small tan head. Sweet cream, coffee, milk chocolate, and a roasted note in the aroma. Initial taste has a nice balance of all the elements in the aroma. Aftertaste fades into sweet, milky vibe. A full, smooth body with just enough carbonation. VERY well done.
3.5 Roasted barley aroma. Dark. Some burnt notes. Coffee. Espresso. Sweet. Leather.
2.0 God Milk stout
3.0 After first sip, it was like a desert in a bottle. The lactose is evident and there definitely a sweet component to this brew. It's pretty much what I envisioned when I purchased this. Personally, I'm drawn to regular stouts, but this was interesting though. The texture was creamy and it gave me the impression of drinking a milk shake. Overall, it was okay to me, but will be looking at things next. On a positive note, I found the aroma to be very pleasing.
4.4 Very good milk stout. Not as creamy as most of milk stouts. Could drink a few of these as opposed to 1 of most other milk stouts
3.4 Very nice stout! The flavor is burned coffee with chocolate. Sweet aftertaste. Milk flavor lingers in the background. Well done!
4.4 Sweet, clean, tasty.
3.0 (Can) I'm less a fan of these sweet stouts, but this was good for what it was. Incredibly smooth, yet aroma has strong roast and coffee-like aroma (think sweetened, weakish coffee with a lot of milk) with chocolate notes. Sweeter than I like but still drinkable and didn't make me feel gross. Minimal bitterness. High-ish ABV is very evident: flavor/aroma is a little boozy and I really feel it when drinking this for some reason. Not my favorite type of dark beer, but well-executed.
3.7 A great stout to have a meal with. Starts off with a malty bite but then you can notice a chocolate component to it. The flavor really sticks on your tongue. A good beer that is fun to go back to.
3.6 Smooth, rich yet clean dark malt-breadish flavours. No burnt flavours, just clean dark malt. Decent foaming. Very drinkable
3.9 Ordered a draft at the Yard House in Moorestown, NJ. Classic nitro pour; thick, Guinness style head with ink black color. Delicious roasted chocolate malt nose. Incredible creamy feel; deep roasted malt/chocolate and dark coffee flavor. Excellent...cheers!
Aromas a Maltas, café, chocolate negro.... Excelente cerveza.
3.8 Nice smooth stout. Chocolate, coffee, roast and dairy up front continues thru to taste. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Low enough ABV to drink a few more. Pretty much as advertised.
3.5 Tap at Todd English PUB Birmingham AL. Pours dark brown with tan cream top. Aroma has vanilla and burnt sugar malts. Taste is medium sweet to lightly bitter. Palate is medium bodied creamy texture soft carbonation and a long finish. A very reliable brew
4.5 licorice, vanilla, roasty, chocolate,
