Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro

Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro

Dark & delicious, America’s great milk stout will change your perception about what a stout can be.
Pouring hard out of the bottle, Milk Stout Nitro cascades beautifully, building a tight, thick head like hard whipped cream. The aroma is of brown sugar and vanilla cream, with hints of roasted coffee. The pillowy head coats your upper lip and its creaminess entices your pallet. Initial roasty, mocha flavors rise up, with slight hop & roast bitterness in the finish. The rest is pure bliss of milk chocolate fullness.

4.0 A craft beer classic and now quite widely available in Japan. I think it may also have been the first nitro craft beer without a widget in the can. Damn that’s smooth and good.
4.1 Can at home, 1st January 2022. Pours a black beer, lovely off white nitro head. Aroma is dark chocolate, roasted malts. Taste is smooth as silk, milk and dark chocolate, roasted malts, slight sweet, then a roasted malty bitterness to balance. Effortlessly drinkable
3.5 Pours black with small beige head. Roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, lactose, some hazelnuts.
3.7 Can at Larry’s Beerfest. Poured black with a nitro tan head. Aroma of coffee, milk chocolate. Taste was bittersweet, chocolate, vanilla, roast, coffee, creamy.
4.0 Frisch gezapft. Schwarz mit großer Schaumkrone und leichter Trübung. Intensive Kaffeearomen. Etwas Schokolade. Cremig im Antrunk. Gut ausbalanciert. Süßlicher Abgang. Sehr gelungen!
3.4 16 oz. can, pours black with a large cascading beige head. Aroma brings out dry cocoa, oats, and some earthy notes. Flavour is gentle, with lactose, earthy coffee, and a touch of dry cocoa. Smooth and creamy, with a chocolatey, earthy coffee finish. Good stuff.
3.6 Pours black with an amber hue and a thick creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted coffee with a touch of lactose. rich and creamy thanks to the nitro. Notes of chocolate and toffee. Very sweet with a bitter finish.
3.4 Coffee flavor combined with chocolate is the main thing that stands out about this beer. Very nice aftertaste. Well done!
3.6 Pours very dark brown with a typical nitro head that looks like steamed milk on coffee. Kinda watery overall, flavor of coffee stands out, brief light, clean finish.
3.7 13.65 oz can. Pours a beautiful dense black brown with a perfect dense tan stout head. Nice smells of toasty malts with lactose underlying. Sweet and creamy with a nice lightly oily mouthfeel and a dry finish where the roasts show up. Proper (sweet) stout.
3.3 Didn't seem to have the same nitro effect as some cans but still had some. Dark brown almost black with a brown nitro effect. Aroma was roasted grains and mocha. Taste was nitro creamy mocha.
4.0 Pint cans from a sampler box. Nose lovely chocolate and roast, milky, really phenomenal. Pour mid-brown with a creamy tan nitro head. Feel smooth and watery light body but again, nitro-smooth and creamy. Taste medium-sweet with light bitterness, milky-creamy with a hint of alcohol (but very little) and a hint of tang (less than traditional Guinness). Very little caramel but still has a candy-chocolate character, and again, incredibly smooth and repeatable. [2021.05.26: 4.0]
3.2 My mother in law’s favorite beer. So smooth, nice flavor, little sweet and a very good porter.

4.0 Can to glass -. Pretty nitro pour! Nose is heavy roast, nuttiness. Super velvety feel. Nuts, cocoa and lacto prevail from here.
3.4 Bottle from HEB in Austin, TX. Aroma is roasted malts, mild dog hair, chocolate cereal. Taste is dry cocoa, roasted grains, smooth mouthfeel, nice bitterish finish. Fine overall but I’ve admittedly never fully appreciated the milk stout.
