Left Hand Warrior IPA

Left Hand Warrior IPA

Brewed only once a year with fresh hops hand-picked in Longmont, CO and Warrior hops straight off the vine from Yakima, WA.

Warrior is brewed using a unique style called “Wet Hopping,” which requires only hops that are no more than a day from the vine. “Wet Hopping” imparts only a mild aroma, but an exceptionally fresh unfiltered hop flavor.

3.7 3/7/2008 2:44:55 PM Bottle from Bier Koning. Dark orange colour, fuzzy head. Hoppy and citrus nose. Very spicy and hoppy taste. Quite bitter. Some caramel in the taste. Really nice but almost too much bitterness that won’t go away.
3.4 Bomber->shaker. Brite dark copper with moderate offwhite head. A: pine hops over caramel malt, honey. T: very bitter pine and floral hops, sweet caramel malt, lite spice. Very sharp, with lingering bittersweet finish. Decent.
3.5 This had some age but the piney hop aroma was still good. Average weight with a drop down in the carbonation. Color was a metallic gold. Strong harshness that was evenly balanced by caramel malts.
3.6 Deep amber color. Very spicy hoppy nose with some faint caramel. Medium body, with warrior hops coming through brightly. Nice lingering hoppy finish.
3.9 Amber color, not much head.. Hoppy with a nice bitter after taste that lingers on the palet.
2.9 Bottle thanks to stephrocks shared at Anchorage Apr ’15 Tasting: Poured copper with a white head. Light aroma of hops and malt. Taste is more malty than hoppy, this might have been past it prime.

3.4 Malty hoppy flavor to start with a nice bitter finish. Tastes very fresh and us crushable. Pours deep orange red in color. Smelks malty. Had at home from a bomber
3.6 Tap at AQ Bevolution 2nd Anniversary event at Yellow Ape Craft. Sweet malty nose. Reddish/orange color. Malty initial, hoppping buzzes up and cuts through the caramel, balances in late mid and final. Interesting IPA variant with the color and thick malt. Very nice mid-palate jumps of bitterness.
3.6 Tap at Yellow Ape. Dark orange color. Nose of pine, earthy, light bread. Solid earthy flavor, resiny hops, bready malt. Solid body, some grapes and cherries.
3.1 Pours a clear amber. Has a malty fruit and pine aroma. Taste starts with strong fruity malts, caramel, pine, and hops. A bitter malt and hop aftertaste.
3.4 On tap at Tapwerks. Pours a clear amber with a gray head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of earthy pine with a hint of resin and earthy grain backing. Flavor has lots of earthy pine with touches of grains and grass underlying.
3.7 Clear Orange pour from bomber at home. White head. Fresh wet hop and citrus aroma. Taste is a dank apricot and bitter hoppy one. Tasty. Not my ideal ipa but very good
3.8 Orange-red, plenty of carbonation, one finger head. Warm, wet aroma; subtle, vegetal, sweet; orange soda. Taste is citrus (tangerine), slightly savory, some pepper, hint of toffee and biscuit. Pretty tasty.
3.9 Has a 1 finger head. Very clear mild body ale. The aroma is piney, like walking in an evergreen forests. Tastes pine, resin, with a nice bitterness. Little drying but very palatable. Love the fresh cascade.

4.0 Pours a deep ruby red color, with an off white head that dissipates over time to a nice ring around the tulip glass. Aroma is bright citrus flavors, with grass pine notes as well. A sweet malt backbone is present. Taste is similar to the nose, with tons of citrus and resiny pine. I’ll be buying another one. Medium body, dry finish. I’ll be buying another!

3.7 Clear, deep , wet copper with a short beige head. Berry and caramel malt aroma. Taste is peppery berry, caramel malt...cedar/pine. A very nice and mild, non-citric IPA... Very good.
4.2 With Colorado fresh hops. Clear orange with a cream colored head. Floral aroma. Full bodied smooth with a huge hop flavor very fresh and grassy
3.7 Pours a rich copper color with a off white head. Caramel malt aroma with citrus and pine. Sweet caramel malt start with some toffee ,fruitiness, and grass. Finishing with a fresh resiny pine. Not very bitter and no lingering bitterness. Possibly the best wet hopped beer I’ve had. The pine flavor in this one is really nice.
3.8 Bomber. Sweet caramel malt aroma with light hoppy notes. Pours amber colored with about one finger of white head with good retention and lacing. Taste starts with sweet caramel malt with a very light bodied mouthfeel. Finishes smooth and just a touch dry with slight piney hop notes. Good, refreshing ipa.
