3.0 Pretty good seasonal brew!
2.8 Yelp, first pumpkin beer of the season. Ugh, August. Anyways this is pretty much a nutmeg shandy. Not that juicy, but light. It’s fine. Good for the hot fall nights of August.
2.6 Bottle from Liquor Barn. Aroma of clove, nutmeg, some citrus and wheat. Refreshing.
3.1 Hazed dirty golden color with a smaller, but stable, bright white head. Really does smell like pumpkin pie, along with fresh whipped cream. Flavors of the pie spices, but I’m also catching quite a bit of vanilla, which leads back to the whipped cream comment. A little sweeter than I would prefer, but actually rather enjoy it for what it is.
2.1 Bottle. Guess the bottom line is this isn’t as bad as I expected. Fizzy, light orange, and quite active. Delivers all the goods for the masses of people who enjoy basic brews --- without any technical fault, of course, this has light tones of pumpkin pie. (#6527, 3/11/2017)
3.0 Can from the mixed pack. Brownish orange color with a small head. Aroma is light pumpkin spice, a bit of citrus and wheat. The traditional pumpkin spices are there, but thankfully dialed back. Goes well with the wheat base. Much better than expected.
2.8 Bottle at BrewMaster’s Craft Beer Festival. Pours a hazy gold with small off white head. The aroma is nutmeg and spice. Thin mouth, pumpkin, spice, cinnamon, light finish, decent.
2.6 (12oz bottle, North Carolina) Aroma: spice, pumpkin, Taste: sweet, pumpkin, spice, sugar, not hoppy, maybe some corn malt, touch of tartness/sour Palate: creamy, some spritz and sparkle but not overly carbonated, sugary finish. OVERALL: a bit too sweet, the pumpkin taste is interesting but too much after a while. Fun to try, but one is enough.
3.1 Deep hazy dark gold under a thin foamy white cap. Weird nose of cheddar cheese and canned pumpkin goo. Crisp wheaty and semi dry flavor with lots of artificial pumpkin goo, fluffy pie crust, a wheaty base and all in all a light but crisp but semisweet body. Honestly kind of interesting and actually tastes a little like pie. Just smells off.
3.4 Pours a very hazy golden with a medium white head. The aroma contains pumpkin, spices, wheat, and nutmeg, with the pumpkin and nutmeg being dominant. There is some sweetness detected in the taste. There is lots of pumpkin, some cinnamon, spices, apple, and nutmeg. It reminds me a lot of pie. There is a sweet pumpkin and cinnamon aftertaste. Light in body, thin in texture, and average in carbonation. Like most beers that taste like pumpkin, they are pretty good if you have just one, but afterwards its time to move on.
4.7 Very tasty beer, with an odd taste of liquid pumpkin pie. Would definitely buy again.
3.2 Can. Pours clear yellow to gold with a thick white head. Aroma of malt, lemonade and spice. Malty flavor with cinnamon and lemonade before a spicy finish.
3.1 Bottle. Hazy orange color, white coca cola head. Aroma of mixed spice. Taste is light cinnamon and nutmeg. Not bad.
3.0 A nice pumpkin spice aroma and flavor, I doubt there’s any pumpkin at all in here, but this is still nicely spiced and balanced. Good beer.
2.5 12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of pumpkin pie batter. Taste is pumpkin, cloves, nutmeg, and wheat. If you like your pumpkin pie in liquid form, this is for you.
3.9 Bottle. Light, fun pumpkin beer. Perfect for our golf outing this morning. Low ABV 4.2 and light pumpkin flavor made it very drinkable and didn’t slow us down. A delightful alternative to a high ABV pumpkin ale like Southern Tier Pumking.
2.5 One of the last beers tried during GABF 2016 weekend. Pours a light golden orange with white head. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a strange "pumpkin" twist on the shandy series. It’s weird and gross, as expected.
3.3 This is a nice summertime beer that we enjoyed in the fall all flavors were complimentary. Cheers from Cannery Row Beer Club.
3.0 12 ounce bottle. Aroma, not much. Light, hazy, golden appearance. Taste is sweet with notes of pumpkin and spices. Smooth on palate. Not much carbonation. Overall we could slam a twelve pack of this. Good seasonal beer!
3.3 Bottle from kristina...many thx...cloudy golden pour with nice white head...nose is spicey pumpkin bread...mouth is the same with a light lemon splash stirred in...actually nicely done brew...impressed!
2.7 Bottle pours hazy yellowish with a small white head. Aroma is pumpkin pie and wheat. Mildly sweet flavor, wheat, lots of pumpkin spice. Medium bodied, slight tingles. Fine for what it is.
2.8 12 ounce bottle. Pours am unclear yellow with a thin white head. Taste is of pumpkin, malt and spice. Similar aroma. Has a lighter body with a pumpkin and spice finish. Overall, not bad
3.3 A very nice shandy for the fall! Robust w/ fall spices w/ an enticing spicy aroma, this met my expectations & then some! Well done & peferct for this football Sunday!
2.9 The spices abundant in the nose especially make this more palatable and dang nabbit, near enjoyable compared to some of their more craptastic shandy cans. An odd mix of fruit and spice, but finishing the can was never in doubt.
3.3 Pours a hazy, cloudy light honey color. Lots of sediment. Tall, thick white head. No, it’s not really thick, it’s just foamy, very foamy. Poor retention, lacing around top of beverage only. Aroma is light holiday spice. Nutmeg is heaviest. Light cinnamon, very light cloves. It smells okay, but not amazing. Taste is very light. It’s more like a tea. Taste follows the nose. Nutmeg, light cinnamon, very light cloves. Brown sugar, bread crust. I think I taste pecans. Again, it’s more like a tea. Mouthfeel is light and fresh. Smooth, almost silky. Soft carbonation. Perhaps a little too much lingering nutmeg. Overall, it’s a neat autumn/harvest offering. It’s okay. I only recommend it if you’re really into the pumpkin spice/autumn flavor thing. I’d probably buy it again.
3.5 take it for what it is. its a shady plain and simple but if you like pumpkin/spice you will really enjoy this one. its a hazy orange color with wispy white head. the aroma is your typical spice of clove, nutmeg, allspice, citrus. nice mild wheat flavor with all the above, the citrus blends well with the wheat and then you get all of the pumpkin spice ingredients of allspice, clove and nutmeg. it is light and refreshing. glad I made a small purchase.
3.2 Hazy light straw in color. Strong spicy nose with a little bit of tart pumpkin. Sweet and creamy up front with a lot of spices. Nutmeg and cinnamon dominate. A little bit of fruitiness in the finish.
3.1 12oz bottle to tulip. Pours clouded dark straw, white ring head. Aroma of nutmeg, pumpkin, cinnamon, cereal and bread. Taste of same with mod syrupy mouthfeel. Light grain cracker finish.
3.5 12 oz can from the three type sampler case. Pleasant enough but adding pumpkin to something like a shandy is a bit absurd. Left me with a tang of saccharine on the tongue.
3.2 Bottle. It poured a cloudy orange color with a white head. The aroma was of spices and nutmeg. The taste was similar to the aroma with some malts, pumpkin and nutmeg. Pretty tasty.
