2.8 Tap at cousins rehearsal dinner served with a lemon. hazed golden pour. nose is light honey and grains. tastes of grains, honey, hint of lemon, and wheat. watery and dull.
2.5 Clear, gold, light beer appearance. Crisp, but not much else. Okay for a hot day.
1.3 Aroma: Light honey, clove, lemon. No banana Appearance: Clear, golden body. Small, white head, fine bubbles, fair retention. Flavour: light bready, Dry finish. Medium-light sweetness. light bitterness. Mouthfeel: Light body. Medium-high carbonation. Carbonic sting. Overall: BLAND! Missing almost everything that makes a good weiss. 330 ml bottle, poured. Thanks Danie! 15A. Weizen/Weissbier - Krystal
3.4 Golden, light, and sweet. The finish missing something but this one is very refreshing. Wont kick you in the ass very much but ill take a leinie any day over some overhyped ipa.
2.0 Clear, gold, light beer appearance. Crisp, better drink really cold. A "drink up" beer, not really one to savor.
1.9 12 oz bottle from Tipsy’s into a pint glass. Gold and clear appearance with a fully diminishing head. Minimal aroma of corn, pale malts, bread and honey. Similar flavor, pretty bland, not much going on. Schwag all the way
2.8 Old rating. Bottle from Old Town. Light aromas of citrus, wheat and apricot. Tastes more of the same with some honey coming through as well as a slight corn taste. Refreshing, light and sweet. Not really a wheat ale, but enjoyable on a hot day.
1.9 Blah. So much corn, so little Weiss. Not a good beer at all. This brewery doesn't really know how to make beer.
4.5 I’ve always enjoyed a cold honey Weiss on a hot summer day. It’s december in MN so that day is not today but I decided to get one on tap at Maynards. Although I took the first few sips without the lemon I added it as I feel that’s the way it’s meant to be drank. Clean, refreshing easy to drink with my dinner. For what it’s meant to be a solid beer. Much better than the Stella Artois I had before this. Edit: one of those beers I always end up getting in summer and boating season. Up the grade.
3.5 Good refreshing beer. Good color. Good for a hot day or if you are looking for a lighter beer.
2.3 bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear bright copper amber with a frothy white head, broken sheets of lace. Taste is slightly sweet malt that moves to the finish without incident, but on the swallow an odd woody bittering shows, detracting considerably from the overall effect. Not a keeper.
2.7 On tap at the Barley Pop in Minot ND. Appearance: finger white head that does not last, pale straw color, clear. Aroma: wheat, honey. Palate: light body, average carbonation, light dry finish, refreshing. Taste: sweet honey to sweet wheat. Overall, drinkable, decent balance for a honey wheat, refreshing.
3.4 Draft: This is one of the few Leinenkugels beers that I have found myself to enjoy. This is light, crisp and tasty. It’s got a great refreshing grassy note that sits well with the sweet honey and makes the whole beer come off as very summery. Nice brew.
2.9 the arrival of a big eddy stout was reason to crack out these other two cheapies that were in the fridge and available locally. this one was so much better than the amber it wasn’t even funny. enjoyable even. sweet honey and citrus aroma and flavor, grassy hops. light aroma but tasty."
3.2 Clear, light gold, no head. Overwrought label, twist off. Starchy, straw malt aroma. Clean, nice bittering, tangy. Good carbonation. Bitter gets a little clingy. Lawnmower beer.
2.5 Pours a light yellow with a one finger white head that dissipates quickly leaving no lacing in the glass. Aroma is of biscuits and honey. Low carbonation in the mouth with a slick mouthfeel. Has a bit of honey in the aftertaste. This is a decent beer but nothing special.
3.7 Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- a aroma of fruit and traces of wheat Appearance- Light yellow color with a one inch head. Taste- A light and slightly dry beer with a sweet accent. Palate- this is a light thin brew with a lively amount of carbonation that does not have any bitter aftertaste. Overall- An enjoyable and refreshing beer, I would drink this again (often)
3.0 Bottle from wifes work. Poured clear yellow with white ring. Aroma of light sweet honey and wheat. Light carb med bod. Sweet sugar water light grain taste.
2.1 ハニービール ハニー感はあるが、うまくかんでない 味もパッとしないし、かなりいまいち
3.0 4 oz draft pour at Leinenkugel’s Beer Garden in Baltimore. Clear honey yellow with off-white head. Aromas of honey, wheat. Tastes of honey, caramel, wheat, corn. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Medium carbonation.
1.9 Pours golden straw color. Not much head to speak of. Lacking in the taste department. Decent summer session drinker but that’s it. Not impressed
2.8 On tap at work needed something to wash away that summer shandy.....this one i actually did enjoy....not so sweet...i would not seek this one out but when its free on tap it will do.
1.7 The color is a yellow of brilliant clarity, and it has a large white head that fades quickly. The aroma (unfortunately but not unsurprisingly) blends corn and honey, and the taste is mildly sour and a touch sweet. The mouthfeel fuses a sour finish, light body, slick and thin texture, and an average carbonation. All in all, nothing special in this lackluster beer.
3.0 Pours a clear golden color with white head. Honey and cereal grain on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a little sweetness.
2.2 12 fl oz bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow with a small short lived white head. Faint aroma of wheat, honey and malt. Flavour is light and sweet with malt, honey and wheat. Light body, watery texture and soft carbonation. Bland and boring.
2.8 12 oz bottle served in a a Fat Cat pint glass. Golden with excellent clarity and a fine white head, Light aroma and flavor, even for style. Hint of honey in the flavor but good, low sweetness. O: exceptionally uninteresting.
2.5 Bottle, pours gold with a white head, slightly sweet taste of wheat with a honey aftertaste, slight bitter finish, pretty average
2.8 Pours a finger of head on a clear, golden colored body. The aroma is lemon and honey. Simple and nice. The taste is predominately honey. The profile is a little disjointed going from a mild bitter beginning to a mild honey sweet to a strong sweet finish. The texture is crisp and fizzy. It’s for the sweeter beer lovers.
1.7 Bottle: Thanks to my uncle, who is apparently a huge Leinenkugel fan nowadays. Good on him. Pale yellow body, approaching vapid straw with a flimsy, small, stark white layer of foam that vanishes quickly. Aroma is extremely faint with light notes of honey sweetness, cereal grains, wheat, & stale hops... Slight mustiness. Taste has more of a lager thing going on, but not a good one... Metallic, tinny, with musty hops, a mild sulfuric note, & only a light twinge of honey sweetness mid-palate. Surprisingly snappy, staunchly bitter aftertaste. Tastes old. But it’s not? Not a very good beer.
2.1 From a mixer on a business trip to Toledo, 2/25/2014. 12 fl oz bottle Pours a generic gold, with a medium white head. Aromas of honey, malt and a bit of cinammon. Taste is again fairly generic, tastes like an average lager with a hint of honey. Really, nothing special here.
