2.2My least favorite of their Shandy group. This one goes too far into syrupy fruit territory. Plus they all only seem to be 4.2%. Go pour some vodka in a Capri Sun instead. Or, you know, grab a real beer.
2.4Typical shandy. More lemon flavor than anything. Nice for a Summer day. From a can.
4.3Very smooth tasting brew. A very good balance of lemon, berry, and beer. Highly recommended for a fruity crisp taste.
3.012oz bottle, another good summer grass cutting brew. Easy to drink light lemon and blackberry flavor.
2.6When I am homesick for Wisconsin and want to relive my youth, I grab a Berryweiss, but saw this...not bad. Still like the Berry on a hot lawn mowing day.
2.3Summer shandy holds a special place in my heart. Was the first craftish beer I got into leading me to where I am now. I however never liked the berryweise. This seems to be a blend of the two. Way too much sugar. An almost artificial berry taste. More like a wine cooler or some sort of sugary ’malt beverage’ thing.
3.0Kinda a wine cooler and beer mix. Not sure if this is real shandy but it's pretty good.
4.0Very easy drinking summer beer.nice color and aroma.great pour and head.very lite for the drinking
2.0I have never mixed Crystal Light into Miller Lite but if I did, I imagine the result would be something like this. It doesn’t really taste like the lemon or berries depicted on the can but it is tart and a bit fruity so I guess that is close enough. Certainly, I have put worse tasting beers in my mouth and rated them higher but this doesn’t seem to want to be beer at all. Hey, I’ll take it over a Bartles and Jaymes.
2.912 oz bottle, 4.2% a/v From a business trip to Toledo Ohio, 2.27.2014
Pours a fruity red colour with a thin tan head. Aroma is very fruity with a bit of citrus, very few hop n otes. Taste is also very fruity, almost like an alcopop/cooler. Palate is very light, high carbonation.
Not a bad beer, but definitely save it for the summer!
1.9Pour out of 12 oz bottle, hazy orange-red pour with no head, aroma brought notes of raspberry, lemonade, hints of berry soda, slight tart fruit, very sweet and fruity. Taste is slight tart lemon, berry, soda like notes into a hint of biscuit, finishing sweet. Tastes almost exactly like berry weiss plus summer shandy combined.
2.6Tasted from bottle. 2/1/14. Nice Weiss beer with definite lemon flavour and blackberry tartness
2.7Bottle. Aroma has notes of wine cooler sweetness, berries and citrus. Average white head and a medium amber hue. Flavor is very sweet and lightly bitter and medium tart. Palate is light bodied and watery with average carbonation. Overall a typical girlie beer that’s meant for casual pool-side drinking by ladies.
3.6Bottle.
A- Lemon, raspberry, blackberry.
A- Caramel color, hazy liquid, minimal head.
T- Strong notes of mixed berries and lemons.
P- Light body, smooth texture, average carbonation, fruity finish.
O- A decent shandy but the berry tones are quite powerful.
1.8This bottled brew from a grocery store poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized bright white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a very softly carbonated hazy dark orange brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The complex aroma was berry floral and fruity. The mild citrus mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish with a lingering fruity aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of blackberry mild rye orange peel sweet raspberry citrus fruity hops and malt. Not one that I would likely drink again.
2.7A: Hazy Pinkish Hue, Passes Some Light, Thin White Head Ring, Very Minimal Lacing
S: Skittles
T: Faux Lemon, Skittles
M: Poor Carbonation, Light to Medium Bodied, Semi Sweet, Watery
Overall, its like drinking watery liquid skittles...fucking gross.
1.6I had this at home. Pours amber-red in color with a white head. Taste lemon, berry, but not in a good way. I thought this was terrible. I wouldn't drink this again.
2.5Pours amber with a finger of white head. Nose is fruity with a hint of citrus. Taste is sweet. Thin. Not bad.
2.8Leinenkugel’s Lemon Berry Shandy has a very thick, slightly tinted white head, a very hazy, pink-orange appearance, with a large, swirling, gray cloud of sediment descending, with lots of ascending bubble streams. There are some lacing rings left behind. The aroma is of lemon drink, and the flavor is of sugary, lemon drink, sourness, citrus juice, and white bread. Mouthfeel is mostly heavy. Leinenkugel’s Lemon Berry Shandy finishes juice dry, very sweet, and gulpable. Overall, for what it is- a fruit/beer concoction, it is very good. For beer over all, it is only average. It is just too sweet! RJT
2.8bottle - Pours hazy light amber and has a fruity aroma, especially lemons. The flavor is very sweet. As another rater said it’s like lemonade. It’s light bodied and refreshing though the fruit comes off as kind of artificial tasting. Okay beer.
1.1Straight from bottle. Tastes like stale juicy juice. Their regular shandy is good but this is too sweet.
2.8A hazy light pour. Really refreshing. A bit more tart than the other Leinenkugel shandys. Overall it’s a very refreshing beer which has it’s place.
1.78 months aged from bottle into pint glass. slightly ruby white head. slightly hazy reddish golden. flat and little body.
3.0Bottle; poured an amber with a hint of pink. Aroma of lemons, zest, berry and some wheat. Tastes alot like lemonade with some wheaty dryness in the finish. Tingles on the palate. In no way is this a great beer, but definitely would not turn it away.
2.7Taster on tap at Keystone in Hyde Park. Hazy orange amber color. Thin white head. Leaves pretty decent lace. Lemon, berry, and grapefruit in the nose, actually doesn’t smell too bad. Bit too sweet in the taste, flavor is a little artificial tasting. Light body, smooth carbonation. The small sample I had was alright, nothing offensive, but a full pint would have likely been a drag. Nothing about the sample made me want more of it. Wasn’t too much to the flavor that was appealing, and even the small portion was too sweet. Still, beats lemon shandy, in my opinion. But orange shandy edges it out. Was less sweet and more zesty, from what I remember
1.9This is the fruitiest fruit beer ever. Straight from the bottle. More like a juice or a sangria. Refreshing.
2.5Cloudy pink grapefruit body. Small fluffy white head partially lasting with lace. Light body. Sweet. Refreshing. Fruity. Juicy. Lemon and berries. A bit of tart. Not really recognizable as beer.
2.8Tastes like berry candy. Cant really hate it. Probably the high school girls beer of choice if thats your thing. fizzy and soda like.
3.0Can, awesome for outside, my blonde blue eyed girlfriend likes it, it’s tasty
3.0Pours a hazy pinkish orange color with a medium pinkish white head that faded and leaves spotty soapy like lacing. Smells of lemonade with berries. Tastes the same but flavors are a little muted compared to how strong they smelled. Mouthfeel was foamy feeling but silky and had great carbonation but light as well. Not bad for a summer shandy style ale a lot better than the macro ones. Close to the Samuel Adams Porch Rocker with berries added. Now I just want to try their regular summer shandy for a comparison.
