1.8 This beer sucks. I hate it. It started with a decent look and aroma but the taste is like old orange juice that had been sitting in the fridge to long you spit it out and throw it away. I would suggest doing the same with this beer
2.6 Can from the summer mix pack, drank straight from the can. The weakest of the four, imo. Artificial orange and sort of musty to go with the wheat. Bland, sort of musty overall. Bummer, I had higher hopes for this one.
2.6 Can from sampler pack. Pours a milky cloudy, orange color. Aroma is orange and lemon. Small white head that rings the glass. Flat artificial orange flavor. Watery palate. Interesting. As far a beers go this isn’t very good, but its refreshing and super easy drinking. Could drink a few sitting around the pool.
3.2 12 oz can @ a party, 7/18/15 For why this is trying to be, it works pretty well. Much closer to orange juice in flavor than it is to beer, but it drinks nicely and is quite refreshing. Go into this looking for an orange flavored Shandy and you will come out happy.
2.2 Can. Smells like pulpy orange juice and tastes like orange juice pour into a Budweiser. Faint spice in the finish. Very sweet. Hard to finish the can.
2.9 Pours a cloudy pale orange color with a thin white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Oranges and wheat in the nose. Light-bodied with a candied orange character with wheat and malt in the background. The finish is fruity with an orange soda aftertaste. Okay for what it is.
2.6 Least of the 4 shandys in the variety pack...though still refreshing.Sticky. Would probably be better over ice, though that is probably against some law somewhere. Not bad as you might think.
1.5 Can. Not much here. Flavor of a ery ligjt wheat beer and just a little orange. Light flavor and light palate. A lottle sweet.
2.4 Pours a hazy yellow-orange from a can. Aroma of wheat and I guess maybe orange. For an orange shandy it’s not very orange. I was thinking of something orange. Do you know what it was? An orange! Meh, could be better Leinenkugel.
2.9 From the can of a summer sampler, not as good as the grapefruit, but goes down really fast, could be orange-ier if that’s a word.
2.7 Light orange with a decent head and a orange candy nose. Highly-carbonated with a light mouthfeel and a mild orange finish.
2.3 Yuck. Oh? I need more of a review than that? Well, even my Choc Beer glass couldn’t help this one. It’s a hazy pale straw concoction with a white film on top. It smells like orange soda (which I’ve never liked) and tastes much the same but also has some breadiness. Too sweet. Yuck.
3.0 12 oz bottle. Smelled like artificially flavored orange hard candy (smelled pretty damn good, but idk if i want that smell for a beer). Poured a cloudy golden orange with a white head and some lacing. Taste of orange peel, sweet candy, coriander, and spice. Medium body, medium carbonation. It’s slightly above average
2.5 12 oz. bottle pours a hazy orange/yellow with fizzy, disappearing white head. Aroma is orange soda and a bit of wheat. Tastes sweet with some wheat flavors coming out in the finish. Body is light with probably too much carbonation. Still, this is refreshing, easily drinkable, and great for a summer day. I prefer this to Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy (lemon). Probably my favorite macro-brewed lawnmower beer, it is still good in December.
2.2 12 8z bottle. Nice concept, just tastes "unfinished" and a bit experimental. Oranges, grapefruits with some wheat in the taste, but the finish is powdery. A bit over carbonated.
2.7 Poured a cloudy light orange with a modest head and light lacing. Aroma was of sweet malts and orange. Taste was slightly malty and tangy with an orange/tangerine backend and a light hop finish. An orangey and tangy after taste was present. Palate was decent. Overall, an honorable shandy.
1.6 bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- "Where’s the Beer?" That’s all I need to say....but,... cloudy dirty light amber, generous white head a couple of spots of lace. Aroma of citrus ade. Taste is tart orangeade that exhibits no change through a barely edgy finish. Doesn’t work in this realm.
2.8 On tap at Disney World (Wine and Food Festival). Poured a golden color with a small sized head. Oranges, grapefruits with some wheat.
2.5 Bottle from the store. Wish I could have shared this whale with friends but I just couldn’t wait. Pours a murky yellow to orange color with minimal head. Nose is citrus zest. Taste is slightly tart with strong citrus component. This tastes just like the sunset wheat with an orange slice or ten in it. Decent but the fruity zesty citrus seems like it actually belongs in the beer
4.0 Crisp, and drinkable beer. Highly carbonated, with a quickly dissipating head. Heavy aroma of citrus and soda. Main flavor is of flat, orange soda, followed up with a hearty wheat that is not overshadowed by the orange. Rather good on a hot summer day.
3.6 Great summer sipper. Heavy citrus and orange peel flavor with just a hint of sweetness. Could easily kill a sixer of this on a hot summer day!
2.1 From tap. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is citrusy and light estery. Mild spiced, orange zesty. Dense. Citrusy and zesty finish.
4.2 If you can't have an orange slice it won't taste as well but it is still pretty damn good
3.9 Very refreshing! Nice orange aroma. The orange taste is definitely there but not overpowering. Great after a long day, and I'd bet it'd be just as great in the heat of summer. Worth keeping in stock!
3.8 On tap, poured a milky orange hue w/ medium fizzy white head. Medium sweet orange aroma. Initial flavor is medium sweet w/ a light tart finish. Tastes are orange, milk, wheat, lemon, and tangerine. Medium bodied and lively carbonation.
2.8 Crips and refreshing beer but its lacking some hop to it, not bad but nothing amazing either
2.2 Bottle: Super-cloudy, yellow, with a whipped white head. Aroma is sweet orange soda and pulp. Taste is orange pulp, soda water....fruity, but dull..very orange-pop-like. Would probably make a marginal screwdriver in a moment of desperation.
2.0 Enjoyed at my buddies place in Milwaukee, WI prior to seeing the Suicide Machines. I don't really like this one, tart and sweet, not enjoyable.
2.4 Went into this with low expectations. Fizzy orange/yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is orange soda mixed with beer. Flavor is pretty much the same. About as I expected. Not offensive but this could have been way better. As is though, hey I’d take one on a hot summer day after cutting the grass.
2.4 Free beer. Reviewed from notes. Jackie, thank you, I think, if anything, thank you for the tick. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange to yellow color with a fizzy bubbly white head that quickly died down into the beer. There was no lacing. The smell had a super sweet lemon to come mixture with a light sharp dry grassy edge to it. The taste was mainly sweet through the lemon, orange, and grassiness. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. It carried a weird smooth yet sharp texture over my tongue. Overall, well, it had an okay smell and taste but just didn’t do much for my palate that I couldn’t quite right place. It probably be better in the Summer.
