Lervig Coconuts

Lervig Coconuts

Coconut Imp. Stout, brewed with vanilla, maple and coconut to create a bounty bar explosion in a beer. This is a humongous chocolatey stout with tons of character from massive amounts of chocolate and toasted malts to back up the generous amount of toasted coconut and finished off with a bit of vanilla and maple syrup. Of course its more of a dessert than a beer, why not? craft beer is dead. We killed it with vanilla!

3.9 Can from Citysuper at home. Dark dark cola brown pour with fine cream tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is big roasted coconut, vanilla, alcohol, sweet toffee - very coconuty, with cherry cola in the background. Very nice. Taste is sweet, toasted coconut, toffee, hazelnut, vanilla. Big booze and big dark chocolate bitterness. Great implementation of the coconut. The additions accentuate rather than detract from the fundamental coconut-ness. Quite sweet but not overwhelming. Palate is pretty light, relatively, but not much carbonation. Very tasty. Worth a try.
4.2 33 cl can served in a snifter. Poured black with small tan head that dissipated immediately. Minimum carbonation in glass. Aroma: toasted coconuts, coconuts & more coconuts, then there's also chocolate, devil's food chocolate cake, caramel, vanilla, maple syrup, sweet roasted malts, dark fruit, smoke. Taste: toasted coconuts, Bounty bar, milk chocolate, brownie sizzled with caramel sauce, toffee, vanilla, Maple syrup, nougat, licorice, muscovado sugar, molasses, plums, sultana, soy sauce, Nutella, devil's food chocolate cake, Kinder Bueno, roasted espresso beans, dates, Oreo, raisin oatmeal cookies, Cinnamon, roasted pecan and cashew nuts. Chewy & gloopy mouthfeel, very thick. Supersweet. A long roasted bittersweet finish. This is like a big bite out of a Bounty bar. Alcohol sneaks up on you and makes it's presence noticeable when it's already too late...very sweet but I like 'em that way...great desert stout!
4.2 Can.Pitch black colour with medium beige head.Aroma of chocolate and maple syrup sweet with flavors of coconut and chocolate nice good full body and creamy finish.
4.3 Can from Etre Gourmet webshop, Grez Douceau, Belgium. Had this Friday 15th May 2020, still on CORVID-19 lockdown, watching Netflix. Pours black with a light tan head. On the nose there is Coconut, vanilla, chocolate, coconut, chocolate, coconut and more chocolate :-). Overall description as the write up suggests this is like a Bounty chocolate bar and they're right it really is a liquified Bounty bar. So in the mouth lovely toasted coconut, smooth milk chocolate, vanilla, creamy, dessicated coconut, it's lovely.
3.8 Can: As expected…:As black as ink with a small and stable off-white foamy layer, solid sweet-bitter nose of coconuts, cacao, milk and “regular” nuts, reminding You heavily of a “Bounty” - bar; solid sweet-bitter flavour, full bodied, creamy to oily MF; slightly drier and a bit more bitter finish, but still dominated by coconuts and sweet dark malts. A liquid “Bounty”, no doubt…
4.2 Can, 0.33l. Aroma of coconut, vanilla, maple syrup, chocolate, dried fruit and alcohol. Pours almost black color with thin totally diminishing light brown head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with sweet roasted malt, maple syrup and caramel, follows by coconut, vanilla and chocolate, mouthfeel is mild spicy and warm alcoholic, while finish is light bitter. Full body, syrupy texture and average carbonation in palate. Nice to be coconutz sometimes...
4.3 33cl Can @ Craftbeer-shop.com, Parchim, Germany. Black colour with a thin tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, coconut. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, sweet, toffee, vanilla, coconut. Full body, soft carbonation.
4.0 Can from The Beer Merchants. Pours a dark reddish brown, the colour of Coca-Cola but with fewer bubbles. There is a tan head, but it disappears instantly, leaving a beer with very low carbonation. There is a thick, oily texture. The taste is very sweet, with notes of milk chocolate, vanilla, maple syrup and, of course, lots of coconut. The coconut flavour is complex with darker notes going along with the sweetness. This is an excessively sweet beer - it tastes like somebody added extra white sugar by mistake. However, it is tasty and complex and the taste lingers long in the memory. Very good.
4.2 Can from Beermerchants. Rich black beer with barely any head. Packed with fondant coconut and booze. Vodka and bounty bar. Licorice piles in on the tasting. Roast malt bitterness status smooth rather than coarse. Slick full body with a prickle of carbonation. Packed with those delicious licorice all-sorts in the form of an imperial stout.
4.2 Flasche 0,33l: Schwarz, kräftige Trübung, eher flüchtiger grobporiger dunkelbrauner Schaum; würzige Nase, kräftige Süße, kräftig Kokos, dunkle Schokolade, "Bounty"-Schokoriegel, kräftige Röstaromen, Röstmalz, Getreide, dunkles Karamell, etwas Alkohol, leichte würzig-süße Bitterkeit mit dominanten Kokosaromen; kräftig würziger Körper, sehr kräftige würzige Süße, kräftige Röstaromen, dunkle Schokolade, dunkle/eingelegte Früchte, kräftige Kokosnoten, Vanille, Röstmalz, Getreide, dunkles Karamell, sehr cremig, kräftige Kohlensäure, deutlich Alkohol, etwas Kaffee, süßer Tabak; angenehmer würzig-süßer Nachgang mit kräftigen Kokosaromen
3.8 I get it, it’s a pastry stout. But this one is sooo sweet. Maybe its because the maple is from extract. Still not bad, but could be better.
4.1 Tap at FFB20. Pours jet black with no head. Big fat, oily imp stout, showing notes of coconut (duh), sweet booze, a touch of bourbon, vanilla and cinnamon. Long lasting finish, medum to heavy body, soft carbo.
4.1 No foam. Extremaly intensive aroma of coconut, vanilla, chocolate, almond. Fluid Bounty. Sweet taste. Coconut, vanilla, almonds, chocolate, coffee, caramel, toffee. Full body, low bitterness. Extremaly sweet. Fluid coconut. Great one
3.9 Can. It pours jet black with a small beige head. The aroma is chocolate cake with coconuts. Light vanilla. Roasted notes. The flavor is rather sweet and roasted bitter. Thick mouthfeel.
3.6 Cask@Dynamo, Brussels. Black, tan head. Nose coconut - the bounty style. Super sweet, sticky texture.
4.2 Coconut for aroma. Full bodied, medium carbonation, maple at the palate
4.6 Oh no! You Lervig guys are evil! I hate you! How can you make such amazing stuff and people not to turn into alcoholics! Well turn... ok opinions. Anyway this is the last Lervig in my stock for the moment, the last of these beautiful small cans of Imperial stouts all 12% and over, which come to HK perfectly fairly priced (just to shout in the face of those who "What! 7 quids for a beer?", excuse the rant). This pours black, a bright obsidian stone black, small beige head, good tongues of lacings. I don't care if tongues of lacing is a made up word either! They look like tongues. Live with it! Aroma gets a lot of barrel... don't know why, but there is barrel, or damp dungeon or something, coconut, maple and vanilla. Tastes roasted bitter and sweet, with all these evil diabetics adjuncts, flavour is well rounded, the aroma blend together in a merciless and sticky broth, viscous, motherf*er and hyperloop long finish. I've been too long. Awesome!
3.8 Jet black color with tanned head. Aroma has caramel, coconut, vanilla, chocolate and sweet fruity notes. Taste is malty sweet with long sweet aftertaste. Flavors of coconut, maple syrup, vanilla and dark fruits. A bit too sweet for me.
4.0 Dark & Wild City 2019. Chocolate coconut, some lager like malty note and overall kind of mild. Nice coconut, chocolate, bourbon, some maple, moderate hazelnut, creamy and oily
3.6 09/05/ 24 Zapach mleczka kokosowego bardzo słodki zapach Piana brunatna szybko znikła czarne nieprzejrzyste Smak mleczka kokosowego wanilii czekolady takie trochę bounty, dość słodkie, goryczka taka czekoladowa Nagazowanie małe, alkohol niewyczuwalny, finisz krótki i czekoladowy, ciało średnie, jest bardzo gładkie wy leżakowane bez żadnych ostrości, Ogólnie zdradliwe pije się łatwo i przyjemnie pachnie, ale trochę sztucznie, nie najgorsze kokos trochę później męczy
4.5 pite jakiś czas temu. uzupełnienie profilu. Ocena przepisana z utpd. Miłego dnia.
2.7 Toń niemal czarna. Piana niska. Zapach kokosa, czekolady, karmelu. Ciało pełne, lekko puszyste. Trochę obkleja język i podniebienie. W smaku za aromatem, bardzo słodko. Goryczka niska. Spoko pifko, nie szanuję że kokos z ekstraktu.
4.3 This brewery has not disappointed me so far. Smell- medium, sweetness, chocolate, so much sweetness, nice. Foam- medium to thick, malt, sweet, chocolate, cacao very nice. The Head is medium, dark brown white color. Appearance-pink can, very dark brown, maybe a bit of red, no visible carbonation. Taste- very sweet, chocolate, caramel, coconut, wow, alcohol. Aftertaste sweet, some roast, chocolate, and coconut. Very sweet, cacao like a drink, please more, I love sweet stuff so much.
Takie guilty pleasure.
3.5 Strong aroma of coconut and vanilla. Black beer, impenetrable with foam along the edges of the glass. On the palate, a little bit of malt is covered with sweetness and coconut. The body is dense, carbonation is small.
3.6 330ml can at We Brought Beer, Tooting. Black with a beige head. Aroma is of 20 bounties plus some coconut and maple and roasty notes. Syrupy and huuuge. Very sweet with a burnt coconut finish.
3.8 Can. A dense finger thick beige head forms over a dark brown body. The aroma has lots of coconut, with dark chocolate, sweetness and a faint roasted hint. It's full bodied, lightly warming and smooth, with a pleasant bitterness. Dark chocolate, coconut, roasted malt notes and some caramel in the flavor. Lasting finish with lots of coconut. A delicious but a bit sweet one, even for me. 191122
3.7 Sample@Ølfestival, København 2019 (Day 3) - black with a brown head. Sweet roasted malty with caramel, sticky maple, and coconut, full bodied, vanilla and coconut infused malty finish.
4.0 W zapachu sporo aromatów kokosa oraz ciemnej czekolady, kakao, alkohol dobrze ukryty. W smaku wyraźna pełnia, słodycz, przyjemna gładkość, sporo nut kokos, ciemnej czekolady, kakao, średnia goryczka, lekko palona, alkohol dobrze ukryty.
