Lervig Hoppy Joe

Lervig Hoppy Joe

Et middels fyldig øl med frisk og fruktig smak. Maltsødmen balanserer bitterheten fra humlen og gir ølet en rund og frodig karakter. Hoppy times.

3.4 Fruity scent. Fruity taste. Good bitterness that fills the upper part of the mouth for a long time. Good beer. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.
2.9 Hazy amber colour, brewed with Simcoe, Chinook and Nelson Sauvin hops, the caramel and chocolate malts complement piney, tropical fruit and citrus flavors and aroma. At 40IBU, this beer is not overly bitter, and the finish is a grapey/wine note from the Nelson Sauvin hops. Not bad !
3.5 (Draught at Muted Horn, Neukölln, Berlin, 10 May 2019) Dark amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, hoppy nose with citrus, toast and black-currant. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of toast, black-currant, citrus, crisp-bread, dark fruit and a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.
3.2 330ml can at The Smuggler’s Tavern, Fitzrovia in 2016. Amber with a thin white head. Aroma of dried fruit, tropical fruit and earthy grains. Hoppy bite up front with some berries and grainy notes.
3.7 Clear red body with a minimal but persistent off-white head. Aroma is fruity, hoppy, mineral and earthy. Taste is earthy, fruity. Mild dry and bitter finish. Medium body soft carbonation oily texture.
3.2 Media pinta @ La Malteadora, Zaragoza. Color ámbar oscuro, espuma blanca abundante, persistente y con buena retención. Aroma a malta tostada, caramelo. En boca es ligeramente dulce, amargor medio-bajo, poco persistente.
3.4 The foam stability is ok, the body red. The Aroma is darkmalty, malty, rather dry, a bit hoppy-floral, light bitter. The taste is malty, dry, refreshing, some nice bitterness. A nice balanced and tasty beer.
3.5 Sehr fruchtig, IPA ähnlich, Marone, bitterprickelnd, süffig. Spannende Version eines Red Ales.
2.5 Donker rood onhelder bier. Smaakt zoetig en naar donkere pils mouten. Heeft iets zoets en karamel achtig in zich. Daarnaast is het bier licht bitter van smaak en brengt het (op de achtergrond) ietwat onherkenbare bloemige smaken mee.
3.1 330 ml bottle. Hazy amber colour, medium head with average durability, partly lacing, soft carbonation. Nose is sweet caramel malt and piney hops. Flavour is moderate sweet, dominant bitter, pine. Pretty long bitter finish. OK!
3.6 From the can. Mostly red with a frothy and lingering head. Aroma is dank cellar and rich caramel. Taste is bittersweet and well balanced. Finishes rather herbal. Body is to the light side of medium, a slight wateriness is noticeable but expected given the ABV. Sessionable, pleasant drinking.
3.2 0.33l can. Pours cloudy deep amber with off-white head. Aroma is fruity, malt, caramel, floral. Taste is sweet, malty, very fruity, caramel, slightly unpleasant cough syrup/herbal bitterness in the finish.
2.8 Bottled 330ml. -at Pivoteka Zagreb. Unclear amber coloured, small off-white head, caramel and whiff of stale hops in the nose. Sweetish malty, caramel, sugary, some stale hops and rather sweet finish. Not in best shape but BBE date is 09.19???
3.7 On tap @ craftbierKiosk, Wuppertal. Smooth floral malty beginning. Easy to drink with a floral piney hoppiness. Malty caramelly with a nice bitterness in the end.
2.9 0.33l bottle from Aldi. Red brownish body. Moderate head, vanishes quickly. Moderate fruity aroma, red fruits and a little bit of yeast. Taste is fruity, red grapes plus a bit of caramel. Moderate dry bitter aftertaste. Fairly strong, fizzy carbonation, light, watery body. Refreshing summer ale, if you like the type, but I was not particularly impressed: the aroma has some depth, but the taste is boring.
3.7 Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into shaker glass Appearance: Deep amber colour, medium head…mighty look. Aroma: Malt, grains, honey, caramel, fruits, hops. Palate: Medium/full body; gentle carbonation. Taste: Malt, grains, hops, fruits (tropic), hint of caramel. Overall impression: Tasty, aromatic, drinkable… nice for enjoyment.
3.3 Bottle. Slightly hazy dark amber colour with a medium off-white head, nose is citric, malty and roasty with notes of grapefruit, pineapple, red berries and caramel, taste is citric and roasty with a dry finish.
3.8 Can from the Grain & Hop Store, Cambridge. Brownish Amber, mostly clear with a small head. Putney resinous scent with notes of tamarind. Bittersweet taste with the aura of pine needles surrounding each sip. Short to medium slightly sour finish. An Amber by the book, but I love these beers.
3.0 Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of caramel, resin, tropical fruit and dried fruit. Pours cloudy brown color with thin creamy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with light sweet caramel and toasted malt, following is grassy, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is pretty bitter. Light body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. It seems more malty than hoppy to me...
3.2 Can at home bought from beermerchants.com. tastes citrusy head disappeared very quickly. Okay beer just not as good as I remember it
3.7 Straight from the can. Probably the best choice in a random market in Norway. Relatively high bitterness, heavy carbonation, smells good. Little empty but hey, it's 4.7abv. As far as I remember this beer is a milestone in Norwegian craft beer scene. Good it still widely exists.
2.6 on holiday in norway can dark amber colored body with an off white head and with a spicy yeast floral malt hop aroma a spicy yeast herby fruity sweet bitter taste with a bitter finish
3.6 Bottle. Hopy aroma, caramel, citrus fruit, resin and grassy notes. Tastes the same as aroma, malty notes, light sweet, light to medium bitter. Light to medium body, hopy bitter finish with fruity notes. Good.
3.0 Karamellig hopfiger, mild süßer Beginn. Geringe Bitterkeit, wässriger Hintergrund. Die Hopfigkeit bleibt überschaubar, etwas seifig, süffig. Okay. 8/9/9/9/10/9
3.6 Dunkles gelb, malzig fruchtige Nase, im Geschmack eine interessante beerige Note leicht süß leicht herber Abgang, lecker
3.4 Vom Fass @ Taproom Jungbusch. Hellbraun und klar, kaum Schaum. Malz und Kräuterduft. Antrunk würzig frisch. Malz, Hopfen.
3.5 Red amber color, low off-white head. Aroma is roasty, caramelic, malty, bitter hops. Flavor is medium sweet, malty, roasty, toffee, caramel, some citrus peel, spices, resin, some honey, herbal hops. Nice complex but could be more bodied in the end. 7/4/7/3/14
3.1 Pours very hazy darker amber, topped with a smaller and nonlasting offwhite head. Gentle malty nose with biscuits and some caramel. Gentle bitterness with some maly sweetness to go along it - biscuits. Shorter and gentler aftertaste. Lighter body. Nicely drinkable though nothing special.
3.5 Nice, drinkable beer. Clear body and beige head. Low carbonation, too sweet aroma and taste.
