Lervig Lucky Jack

Can and keg
American Pale Ale

Ingredients: Water; Barley Malt: Pilsner and Caramel; Hops: Perle, Citra, Amarillo, Chinook; Yeast

Lucky Jack is just about the perfect beer for summer. Grapefruit, tropical fruits and citrus flavours from the Citra and Amarillo hops are apparent in the aroma and taste.

Aroma: grapefruit and citrus.

In 2016, some kegs had grapefruit juice added.

3.2 Ładny aromat końcówka terminu smak słaby. Przyjemna wyraźna goryczka.
4.2 Appearance: Clear gold color with one finger white head. Some lacing. Smell: Very pronounced aromas to the nose (WOW). Tropical fruit, floral, pine, resinous and citrus aromas. Taste: Same as the nose. Tropical fruit, floral, pine, resinous and citrus. Dominate of floral taste. Mouthfeel: Good balanced. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall smooth finish without astringency and harshness. Overall: A pale, refreshing and hoppy ale with sufficient supporting malt to make the beer balanced.
3.2 Can from Beermerchants.com. Grapefruit, earthy hops, some minerals. Decent beer.
3.2 @ Home - da GrandCru Firenze (thanks to Barza)
3.9 This bottle is coming from the drinks of the world at St-Gallen. Enjoying this nectar at home, yesterday, at home, at Epalinges, on the balcony, after a long day the swimming pool at Pully. The body is copper, clear with a regular carbonation, thin and white foam. Personally, it is a right pale ale, classical and a good friend for these days. The taste is rather dry, resinous, dry malt, at the final you get a side of tropical fruit but it is discreet, good side of hop.
3.8 Can at home. Pours orange with a thick white head. Notes of citrus, orange peel, flowery, with a bitter finish. Medium body, medium mouthfeel. Pleasant, easily drinkable, refreshing. Ok.
4.0 Bottle.
3.7 AR: hopfig, fruchtig, blumig, Grapefruit AP: klares goldgelb TA: hopfig, blumig, Harz, Grapefruit,
3.9 Goldgelb, schöne Krone. Leicht beeriger Duft, frischer Hopfen, Johannesbeere. Etwas Erdbeere. Mild-runde Bitterkeit. Leckeres Pale Ale.
2.9 Bottle 0.33L. Hazy orange/gold color with small, frothy, white head. Herbal and hay aroma, more on the malty side with some cardboard notes in the background. Moderate bitter with herbal and grassy hops. Dry texture, soft carbonation, medium body.
3.1 33l can from Whole Foods, Kensington (BB 29/5/20). It’s a citrus based APA with grapefruit notes to the fore. Quite straightforward. Clean medium bodied palate. Amber appearance, slight haze, off-white head.
2.8 Pours a slightly hazy golden orange on tap with thin bubbly white head that dissipates to leave light lace. Aroma of oxidized caramel malt and pithy hops with a touch of diacetyl behind. Taste follows, oxidized and unfinished, with hops that feel like they got warm in transit, for too long. Meh.
2.4 Lukter litt gammel humle, småsur, bitter
3.2 330ml can share from M&S, Watford in 2017. Clear pale golden with a white head. Grapefruit, straw and dusty grain aroma. Mid bitterness. Medium body. Quaffable, if unremarkable.
0.7 No this beer wasn't for my taste. I know it's some kind of trend going on in the brewery world, to make beers taste like grapefruit and lemons, and when poured in a glass looks more like orange juice than beer. But not all beer drinkers like that. This beer was way to sour for my taste.
4.1 Review: 0,33l bottle of Lucky Jack American Pale Ale: 4.7% vol. Cool enough logo on the bottle, a rugged character looking out to sea, nice blue colouring. On pour get a massive white head with a lot of carbonation, fizzing away like mad, a lively beer from the start! A golden coloured beer with what looks like a reddish hue, and after we get a well maintained white creamy head that lasts. Some lacing present. Looks very nice, like a fine wine! To be looked at and admired. Good start. Holy fuck that smell is powerful stuff, very strong on the nose, very spicy and very fruity, both regular fruits and the more tropical ones too. The toxicity level is high, nearly afraid to drink this fella! Floral smell, and that smell off the hops, is powerful and very intense. Bit like nail varnish or paint stripper. Piney as well. Tastes like your average IPA, strong in the hops and in the taste. A long gentle bitter finish with this one. This beer has three hops, the citrus flavouring Citra hops, the Chinook hops tasting of grapefruits, and the fruity Amarillo hops, and boy does it show as all three are easily found on the taste buds. Not a bad beer, very, very tasty, grains, hops and the light tropical fruits all lovely on the tongue, going down nice, this is a beer to sip and enjoy. Also can taste the yeast, a slight kick to let you know its there all the same! Taste is hoppy, of course, but the balance between sweetness and hoppiness is exactly spot on. A nice tasting beer that is definitely worth looking at again.
3.7 Can from Oddbins Rosemount. Clear amber with a fluffy, tight white head. It's looking great. Orange, citrus and bitter pith finish. Barley sugars. Medium bodied with a little oil on the lips. Sharp, refreshing carbonation. Incredibly easy drinking hoppy US pale ale.
3.1 On tap at Valhalla, Zagreb. Hazy golden, medium creamy off-white head. Grainy, lightly hoppy. Herbal, lightly fruity. Some unrefined bitterness. Moderate to high carbonation. Light and drinkable. Boring.
3.5 Light orange color, small foam. Usual for APAs aroma - citrus, slightly with sweat notes. Light bitter taste, good beer.
3.3 Can, medium bubbly foamy head, clear deep gold color, aroma of pine, metal and an oxidized hint, flavor of citrus with a hint of malt behind, quite strong grapefruit and shrubs bitterness. Nice and drinkable.
