Lervig Orange Velvet

Lervig Orange Velvet

A double dry-hopped IPA with a touch of mango, lime and vanilla.
Yeah, we had to try one... a Milkshake beer that is...in this case we mixed up a easy going session able IPA added some lactose to sweeten things up.We then put in a bit of mango, lime and vanilla to create a orange-sickle like flavor. Its light and tasty and a tad different than your ordinary IPA.

3.7 Can from Deconinck. Hazy yellow, stable, frothy, white head. Aroma of mandarin peel, sorbet, lemon zest, lime, vanilla, smoothie, nectarine. Taste has sweetish mandarin, peach, sour lemon zest & lime, fluffy doughy & sorbet-like maltiness with a yoghurty vanilla effect. Ends earthy hoppy, quite unexpectedly, with bitter citrus peel, sour citrus zest and vanilla. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Probably a case of 'love it or hate it'. I think it's well executed.
3.8 Pours hazy yellow. Aroma is hoppy, fruity, citrus, grapefruits. Taste is smooth, fruity, tropical, citrus.

Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, mango ice cream, citrus - lemon cake - vanilla, tropical fruit, icecream - cake. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20180806] 7-3-7-3-15
3.3 Copenhagen 8/8 2020. 33 cl can from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Yellow can with some sort of Cloud elemental swallowing oranges. Pours unclear orange-ish yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin patches of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is intense with a sweet, candy-like odor mingling with gentle citric notes. Wine gums, white sugar and ice cream. Sweet mango and papaya. Oranges and lime. Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, watery, lightly tingling texture. Flavor is intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a light bitter undercurrent. Semi-dry and bitter finish. Quite sweet with quite subdued citric bitterness. Maybe the Cloud Elemental on the can ought to swallow Candy instead of oranges.

Lite bitterhet. Skikkelig laktobombe. Vaniljeyoghurt med noe appelsin. Kort.

3.4 Can from Beermerchants dot com. Hazy yellow with a thin white head. Nose is sweet and fruity. Orange yogurt, light touch of lime sharpness, marshmallow, light grass and pine needle. Full body that lightens at the end. Soft round finish. Refreshing moderate carbonation. Packed with sweet citrus and sherbet. Tasty stuff.
3.6 Can from The Beer Merchants.Hazy orange/yellow colour. Lots of vanilla here with flavours of mango, orange peel and cookies. Not too sweet, and a gentle bitterness. Velvety texture and soft palette. Very tasty.
3.0 Hazy golden pour with small white head, falling down completely. Aroma is astonishing: hoppy, very fruity (orange, bit pineapple, mango), but also very much vanilla, which gives it a sort of unnatural fruity-candy sweetness milkshake sense. Taste starts smooth sweet and mild bitter, with a citric element and an aftertaste that matches the aroma (unnatural fruity sweetness). OK carbo, and indeed bit silky feeling. Hm, weird and interesting beer, surely original, but a bit too artificial, too much elements together, too synthetically constructed, and out of balance for me.
2.9 Een speciale blond. Letterlijk fruitig, met sinaasappelschil, bloemig, vlier? Lekker, maar gaat gauw tegenstaan.
3.4 Cloudy, pale yellow colour with some white lacing. Aroma has lots of orange, lime, vanilla, tea, hops. Sweet, light bitter taste, typical milkshake ipa. Low medium body, medium carbonation, smooth creamy mouthfeel.
3.5 Can. Hazy golden pour. White head. Aroma is tropical fruity with lime and vanilla. Lacto sweet flavor. Bitter hoppy.
3.5 Canned 330ml. -from Goblet Zagreb. Hazy yellow/orange coloured, medium sized white head, lime and vanilla in the nose. Lime, vanilla, fruits and lactose with hoppy finish.
3.3 Pours a cloudy yellow colour with white foam with large bubbles. White foam. A nose of citrus and vanilla. Smooth, sweet with clear citrus peel and vanilla flavour. Interesting to say the least, but the vanilla might be a bit too strong for my tastes.
3.1 0,33 litre Can from Vinmonopolet Stavanger. Verksgata. Directly from The Can. Malts, hops, lactose, sweetness,
3.7 Cloudy light orange pour, white head and good lacing. On the nose a lot of lactose sweetness, citrus and pineapple. Tastes sweet, candy, little tart, lactose viscosity, notes of lemon, orange and pineapple. Light, crisp, smooth and to be downed in 30 second without mercy. Very tasty!
2.4 0.33l can. Hazy, straw yellow, small white head. Looks like pineapple juice. Sweet and fruity aroma. Pineapple, lime, banana. Tropical aroma with a hint of vanilla and cream. The taste is, as the description hints, more like a milkshare than an IPA. Too sweet, very very fruity, almost as if the ABV has been reduced due to addition of fruit juice...right? A sour aftertaste completes the confusion. Not what I expected, not what I was looking for.
3.2 Can from Biervana, München and consumed at home Attenkirchen, Saturday 21st December 2019, cooking Cannelloni and listening to Warmduscher - Tainted Lunch. Pours murky yellowy colour with a white head, lots of vanilla, it's not unlike a soft scoop ice cream. The orange is there but it's subtle, a little creamy and too gentle, it's not really an IPA.
3.6 A murky and light yellow beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has fresh fruitness, mango-grapefruit, nice vanilla and orange ice-cream. Nice. Taste has fruitness, orange, mango, vanilla. Medium bodied. Interesting, strong vanilla, but that's great.
3.3 33 cl can. Pours hazy yellow color with a large white head. Aroma is lactic with some vanilla, lemon, hops. Flavor is also lactic, some sweet vanilla, citrus and grapefruit. Okay for a milkshake brew. 3333

2.9 Cookiedough, cardboard papery aroma. Not my cup of tea. Paper aftertaste. Some mango, can not find orange
3.4 Hazy yellow color with lacing small off-white head. Aroma has pineapple, citrus, mango and hay. Taste is fruity with long sweet and somewhat bitter aftertaste. Flavors of mango, pineapple, citrus and grass.
3.1 Tap at Konttori. Pours hazy light yellow, white head. Pane malts, pineapple, mango, way too much vanilla for me. Medium to light body, average carbonation, sweet and juicy finish.
3.9 Can at Pi Altrincham. Vanilla, lactose, fruit aroma. Hazy to cloudy yellow color with medium sized white head. Fruity taste, sweet, some lime, lots of vanilla, but not lactose overload. Medium body, soft carbonation.
