Аромат нереально мощный и многогранный. На первом плане что удивительно корица, наверно все таки это диптерикс так похож на эту специю. Затем нотки от ванили и общей сладости, карамель как на леденце, может слегка поджарена, коричневый сахар, ликерность небольшая, дерево, бочка в целом выпирает, что то похожее на кофе с шоколадом. Цвет черный как уголь, пены понятное дело, нету. Вкус продолжение аромата. Много сладости, но сдержанной, снова тонна корицы, ваниль, уже карамель более ощущается. При глотке бочка с деревом, но немного. Послевкусие более шоколадное с бобами и кофе. Есть ассоциации с горячим шоколадом. В целом очень крутой, но корица а точнее бобы, могут многих отпугнуть.
330ml can, 2020 vintage. Pitch black with a thin brown head. Aroma of tonka, chocolate, bourbon. Taste is rich and sweet, huge tonka, chocolate, vanilla, more tonka, bourbon, caramel, a touch of alcohol. Full bodied, thick, smooth. Immensely good!
Can: Aroma is malty, sweet, intensive chocolate-Tonka note, molasses, vanilla, bourbon barrel notes. Pitch black color, nearly no head, oily texture. Flavor is very malty, quite roasty, intensive chocolate, some coffee. Bourbon barrel notes, whiskey, alcohol, some tar. Ends light roasty bitter. Intensive, well balanced and tasty brew.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, cinnamon, alcohol, caramel and vanilla. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long warm, caramel, cinnamon, vanilla, oak and chocolate finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Can. An oily dark brown to black beer with a minimal sized tan head. Roasted malts, bourbon notes, coffee, dark chocolate, dark syrup, coconut and brown sugar in the aroma. It's full-bodied, warming and smoothly carbonated, with lots of sweetness. Booze, maple syrup, brown sugar, coconut notes, dark chocolate and coffee in the flavor, with roasted malts and a woody touch. Pleasant tonka touch too. Everlasting finish. Black pour wit thin tan head. Aroma and rates is rich malty, sweet and roasted with resonating notes of chocolate, coconut, liquified bounty style, rich bourbon infused and soaked wooden notes into the finish. Gorgeous.

Bière qui tabasse!! Dure à boire car très liquoreuse. On ressent bien le ccoté bourbon vanillé. J' avais encore le gout de la bière le lendemain matin :) Bu au Nautilus avec François, Paris, TTO Lervig
Marcepanowe w opór, pewnie ta tonka stonka. Gęste, czekoladowe, bez żadnych smrodków, co wcale nie jest takie oczywiste these days. Troche szlachetnego destylatu, ale jednak destylatu, przeważnie tendencja jest odwrotna, ale tutaj to bęczka zdaje się nie udźwigać podstawki. Pelniutkie, średnie wysycenie delikatnie podszczypuje w język, najwięcej to jest tego aromatu migdałowego do ciast z mikro buteleczki.
0,33 boks på Mi2 Cardinal okt-19: nesten helt svart med ok skum. Mørke dessertchokolader med røde bær, jamaicansk rom, lær, tobakk, tonkabønner (parfyme), lakris, vanilje og møbelpolish er noen av ordene som går rundt i panelet. Kompleks så det holder, men passer så avgjort som nippeøl fra små glass.
Overwhelming aroma, petroleum, perfume. Sweet, plum liquorize, candy, leather. Very complex, but too much and too sweet.

Finish is also amazing, cocoa, chocolate, coconut and bourbon, lasts very long.
Pours thick, dark with thin brown head. Aroma of sweet chocolate and coffee, definitely BA. Big dark chocolate taste, quite sweet, syrupy, lots of vanilla. Finish is a bit more bitter chocolate. Big mouth feel that sticks around.
De botella en casa. Color negro con un leve halo de espuma color espresso que desaparece enseguida (de hecho pareciera un refresco de cola antes que una cerveza). En nariz potente aroma a habas de tonka, chocolate, madera envejecida, vainilla y café tostado. En boca es muy oleosa pero nada pesada, muy alcohólica, riquísimo el toque de las habas de tonka (es el saborcillo a canela y fruto seco tostado) perfectamente maridado con un poderoso sabor a chocolate negro puro y café intenso avainillado. Quizá algo más carbonatada que su hermana pequeña. El toque a madera, contra la versión sin añejar, hace a la birrita menos dulce y más vieja. En resumen, la realza. Retrogusto fundamentalmente alcohólico y amaderado. Un cervezón como pocos.

2019 version at 12% ABV. 330ml bottle. Pours dark brown to jet black. The eponymous three beans (cocoa, vanilla and tonka) are all well balanced on the nose. You can distinguish each one but they each add up to something greater. Sweet and savoury intermingle. It all carries through to the taste. Dark chocolate, sweet vanilla and slightly salty tonka all work well together. Robust palate. Mild hoppiness in the finish adds another dimension and enhances ageing potential. Superb.

KØLF 171117. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, bourbon, cocoa. Flavor is roasted malt, bourbon, vanilla, alcohol, chocolate, cocounut, fruit, dried fruits, tonka beans, licorice. Full body. Powerful nice beer.
Bottle. Aroma is poppy seed, chocolate cake, vanilla. Taste is sweet, intense tonka beans, some barrel notes add more vanilla.
Black pour with a thick tan head. Coffee, chocolate, vanilla aromas, a little roast and wood. Very balanced, choc/coffee/vanilla taste, really no boozy taste at all - this was excellent
Not too different to a base beer. Barrel didnt add much to the base beer, but didnt destroy it either (hello hypnopompa rum). Still its a very enjoyable beer with hefty amount of tonka, vanilla and chocolate.

Clear dark black brown colour with a small small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, tonka beans, sweet malt, vanilla. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, tonka beans, chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160923]
