3.3Pours a hazy golden copper color with a small frothy white head. Nose of wheat and pilsner malts, grassy hops, some honey, spices and floral notes. Quite well balaced on the taste. Masks the alcool pretty well. Oily mouthfeel. Small hoppy alccol finish. Low to medium carbonation. Nice sipping beer. Not bad
3.5Appearance: slightly hazy deep gold with one finger of fluffy off-white head diminishing fairly rapidly to a thin ring, no lacing. (3/5) Aroma: grainy malt, floral, herbal, honey. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter, light pepper. (7/10) Palate: medium-light body, moderate carbonation, off-dry lingering bitter and spicy finish. (4/5)
A bit beefy all-round - which, I guess, is bang-on for the style, which is intended to walk the line between too little and too much. I didn’t even look at the label before tasting, and was surprised at the alcohol presence - not “hot” as such, but definitely there. The lingering bitterness of the finish was also a surprise, given the stated 26 IBU. (Have I mentioned lately how much I love LTM labels? OG, FG, ABV, IBU, aging, serving temperature and glass, tasting notes and food pairings. Why doesn’t everybody do this?) I actually had to go back and read the BJCP guidelines for this style, and was slightly surprised how well this thing ticks all the boxes. I actually thought Maibocks/Helles Bocks were supposed to be a bit lighter all-round, but apparently they’re not. The only area this one really falls flat (so to speak) is the lack of persistence for the head, along with a bit less clarity than the style requires. I waffled a bit as to whether I actually liked this or not, but came down on the side of “yes”. At the very least, it’s an interesting brew. (14/20)
3.2Pours a fairly clear golden with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of honeyed cereals and alcohol. A little peppery from the alcohol I would think, too. Taste is moderately sweet and offers grapes, cereals and alcohol. It isn’t "hot" but you can feel a slight alcohol burn throughout... Body is medium, carbonation moderate and mouthfeel is a bit syrupy. Overall I didn’t enjoy this one that much but I’m not too familiar with heller bocks so maybe I need to work on that.
3.4Pours a hazy golden topped by a finger and a half of frothy white head showing average retention and leaving coarse lacing. Vivid carbonation rising up. The nose is mostly floral with the herbal hops blending up into a distinct lily scent, also a faint corn element and some grainy malts. Light alcohol in the nose. The taste is bitter grainy attack leaving a floral aspect on the tongue. Notable sharpness from the carbs all the way to the finish that comes through lightly bitter. Light body. Intriguing product. Cheers!
4.2Bottled, hazy yellow with big foam, great aroma of apple , bread, hops, flavor is perfect spring bock beer, bready grain, flinty, hops, green apples, great balanced finished
3.9Good price for the size of bottle and high abv.
Poured a large foamy, creamy head. Has a hazy golden/yellow appearance. Very strong fruity aromas, mainly oranges and mandarins. Faint smell of alcohol coming through. Somewhat similar in taste but also strong hops, malty bitterness. Tangy aftertaste and mouthfeel. Flavour sort of reminds me of the Blanche de Chambly (a Witbier, this one a Bock). Bitter malts in the finish. Pretty good.
3.6Rare Beer club bomber, in a shaker. Big foamy head, golden yellow, fizzy, medium body, long finish, medium sweet malt with a herbal hops edge. Pleasant.

4.0Appearance: brassy gold pour with a frothy, creamy, bright white head and good lacing. Aroma: floral honey, cereal grains, white toast, lemon zest, hint of rye. Taste: as the aroma indicated, slightly sweet, floral and grainy. Finish: crisp, slightly sweet with lingering honey notes and just a hint of spice. Notes: Really enjoyable maibock. Good body--full, but not overly rich. Good flavors. Excellent brew. Bottle from the Rare Beer Club.
3.6Dourada, turva e com média formação de espuma. Notas cítricas, de fermento, grapefruit e lúpulo. Média carbonatação com corpo leve e agradável amargor no retrogosto.
3.7341ml Bottle bought directly from the brewery, thanks Guillaume. Aroma: honey, lemon, floral, spices, cereals. App: slightly hazy golden with small white head. Taste and palate: peaches in mouth. medium body, light bitter/sweet finish. Medium carbonation. Overall: awesome. First time I?ve had this beer I didn?t like it but I guess I wasn?t as connoisseur as I am now. One of the best lager I?ve had.
3.3Cor alaranjada com média turbidez; espuma branca com tons amarelados de baixa/média formação e persistência de fina camada; bom lacing;
Aroma floral, de mel e de doce de laranja;
Sabor com início de mel, caramelo e doce de laranja com final amargo discreto e alcoólico, aquecendo a boca; retrogosto alcoólico;
Corpo médio e média carbonatação.
3.1Bottle. Aroma is hop, alcohol, malt, caramel. Flavour is malt, fruit, hop, citrus, caramel. Medium body. Ordinary beer.
3.2Pour is pale gold with two fingers of snow white cap. Nose is grain and grass, with a bit of yeast mustiness. Taste is typical pale grain malt with a bit of spice and dryness on a slightly warm finish. Passable, but definitely not LTM’s best effort, IMHO.
3.3Draft @ SBWF 2014. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty spicy weak yeasty caramel aroma. Sweetish malty spicy caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy caramel finish.
3.3Bottle Feb. 15, 2013.
Glad I cracked this when I did. Cap was a touch rusty, and there was a trace of surface mold on the exterior cork. No mold near the beer end of the cork.
Extremely mild stale aroma, I cellared it longer than expected. Grassy hops, yeasty white bread, and malt grains. Medium gold pour with a very soft carbonation carrying a decent sized white sudsy head. Any sediment stayed in the bottom of the bottle. Very smooth carbonation. A bit of brewing caramelization. Sweet pie crust. Minty herbs.Traces of vegetable (squash) flavours which were not unpleasant. It’s actually finishing up quite dry. Alcohol hidden to the point that I’d be surprised this is closing in on 7%. I’d drink this on it’s own rather than pair it with any course other than some plain biscuits/baguette, and a brie-like cheese. Light strawberry and honeydew melon in the faintly saline finish. This was reasonably good.
3.8375 mml bottle tasted on the 24/10/2014. Clear golden colour with a medium head with a good retention. The aroma has some malts, bread, honey and hops. Taste is sweet with the malts with some grass. Good aftertaste and medium body. It easy to drink and very enjoyable. Next one please!
4.0Keg at SBWF. Hazy golden, creamy head. Bready, grassy nose. Mid sweet with full body and creamy mouthfeel.Mild and creamy with grass, butter pepper. Mildly warming.
3.6Süßlich hopfiger Antrunk, grasig. Leichte Fruchtigkeit, Honignoten. Gut! 11/12/10/11/12/12
